Projects | Connect Quotes and Deposits
The Quote information should come forward on the invoice whether you are invoicing from the Quote or invoicing from the Project Amount OR the deposit amount needs to show when invoicing from the Quote.
It doesn't make sense that if someone pays a deposit, I have to use the project amount to invoice but have to re-enter all the quote information (our quotes are broke out in areas with a dollar amount for that area to be invoiced).
If I use the Invoice from Quote, then the deposit amount doesn't show. I then have to work around the deposit that…

Global Pay Run - Hide Voided Pay Run from Main Pay run page
Hiding Voided Pay Run from showing on the Main Pay Run Page.
It will be great to have a functionality that allows you hide payruns that have been voided from showing on the main payrun list.
When approved payruns cannot be edited, the only option is to void and create a new one. If a functionality can allow editing approved pay run, then there will be no need. But now, we need to have a function to hide the voided payruns.
A screenshot has been attached for clearer understanding for voting and implementation.

UK Payroll - Auto schedule pay runs and filings
For clients we have with director only payroll, if we could schedule all the filings and pay runs to be done automatically and we just get a pop up box just before they go to confirm nothing has changed for a number of different clients rather than one at a time? I believe Sage Payroll are working on this and Keypay payroll system can already do this too. Just wondering if there's anything on the radar for Xero to to the same?

Client Details - Hide Blank or Unnecessary field in XPM Client data
Ability to remove unnecessary fields when setting up a client in XPM or ability to hide the blank fields after the setup so that they don't show up in the Client Details Tab. The purpose is to see the fields with details on them only and to make them look neat and tidy. Please see attached.

Reconcile - Link to open matched item
In the Reconcile Accounts view it would be great to be able to have a link to the item you are about to reconcile - like the "more info" on the statement side of the reconcile view. Often payments appear to match but it can be hard to tell without seeing the detail on the invoices or payments that have been registered against the invoice.
3 votesHi Rob, if you click the Find & Match text above the right hand side of the match this'll pop open the Find & Match modal where you can quickly open the invoice in another tab to check it's details.
Is this what you were after?

Bank Account - View of the reconciliation (statement line & transactions)
It would be great to have a view into the reconciliation history that has the same format as the current Reconcile view - showing which statement line was reconciled against which Invoice/transaction - with the ability to "Remove and Redo". This would be helpful when analysing and fixing incorrect allocations.
2 votesHi Rob, appreciate raising the idea here. This could be a lot of information to show in one screen, especially if multiple transactions have been coded to a single statement line.
Being open it's not something we have planned however there are a couple of reports that you may find useful in Xero depending on your needs.
- Bank Reconciliation reports - specifically the Bank Statement & Statemernt exception reports will help paint a picture of the statement lines that have been imported and reconciled within a bank account, and any abnormalities through mark as reconciled, duplicates, and deletions.
- Account Transactions report - You can add a related account column which'll help understanding of where lines in a bank account have been coded to across your organisations accounts.
- Account Transactions tab of the bank account - As you've likely found the Account transactions tab is the best place to view and…

Reporting - Reconciliating Profit & Loss and Statement of Cash Flows
The existing 'Statement of Cash Flows' could be enhanced to be the bridge between the P&L and the balance sheet.
1. Term debt and cash are netted to give the movement in cash equivalents. If the statement differentiated between 'term' funding (in our case, reduction of term debt) and the 'cash at bank' balance it would better describe cash flows.Make repayment of loans a 'financing' activity. Currently it is wrapped in 'cash equivalent'.
The flows in Operating Activities would be more meaningful if it highlighted where to see changes. For example, working capital changes in the period under review…

Reconciliation between the Accounting Profit and Taxable Income
Can you add into the reports for business a report to reconcile the Accounting profit to the Taxable income.
1 voteHi Neil, do you have an example of the sort of report you're looking for here? The Profit & Loss report will show you both the Gross Profit, expendable activities and Net Profit, which you can drill into the figures of to view the related items that make up the figure of in the Profit & Loss? Or is it something a bit different you're looking for here?

Xero Expenses - Ability to change 'How did you pay' through Xero Me app
Xero Expenses - be able to change an expense claim submitted by an employee through the Expense App as Personal money (reimbursable) to Company Money (non-reimbursable). Currently within Xero Expenses, you can change the 'How did you 'pay' on an employee's submitted expense only if it was processed as Company Money (non reimbursable). It would be good if we could also do it the other way round in that if an employee submits an expense on the app as Personal, it could be changed to Company.

Quotes - Check Quantity on Hand for Inventory Items
When sending a quotation it would be really helpful if the system did not allow the quote to exceed the number of items held in inventory in the same way as invoicing does. There is little point in quoting for items that we do not hold in stock and we do not operate negative balances for inventory.
7 votesAppreciate your interest in raising your idea. Being open this isn't something we have plans for right now. There are some industries where it is common to quote for stock that is yet to be purchased, without having to purchase he inventory in advance.
We'll continue to monitor the idea here, but want to be upfront that there are no plans to change this in the near term.

AU Payroll | Timesheets - Ability to enter negative hours
Re Payroll/Timesheets/RDO's. Can you please allow employees to enter a negative No of hours in Xero Me to category RDO accrual to get their hours back to the usual eg. 76 in a fortnight. Currently cannot submit.
Staff working 40 hours to obtain hours RDO is problematic. I don't agree with Xero's instruction to change opening balance accrual figures. Must be able to be audited. Please change the break hours to be able to be 1. entered online and not just via Xero Me 2. within 1 entry. Currently staff have to enter 2 lines each day.

Photo of receipt to create draft bill
Take a photo of a receipt in the Xero app and upload directly to draft bills. Xero automatically prefills readable data.
2 votesThere are already ways you can automate this process, Elise. Is there a specific reason you'd like to do this through the Xero mobile app?
I'd recommend looking into connecting Hubdoc to your Xero org, or emailing bills to your organisation.

Accounts: Add new account from Bank Reconciliation screen
ZOHO allows you to add an account on the drop down list of accounts on your Bank Recon page.
This is very handy, to not have to navigate to Chart of Accounts first to add an account.
Just add it on the go while allocating bank transactions.1 vote -
Xero Me - Employees able to Add Kilometers
Employees cannot enter the number of kilometers to be claimed back in timesheets. A fix is to use the unit Hours instead of Kilometers. However in the Xero Me app they are only allowed to enter up to 24 Km (hours).
More than 24 units are allowed to be entered directly into Xero but not through the Xero Me app.10 votes -
Batch payment - Description from expense claims
currently we put all of our mileage through as an expense claim and then make a bath payment once it is a certain amount, however when creating the batch payment, the report produced at the end just simply stated expense claim. this can be clicked to go in individually however it would be nice if the description for that expense could also be shown so that it produces a better overview of what is being paid. even if this is just an option to add different columns that it can be selected from, that would improve things.
3 votesHi Daniel, when you say the report you produce - could you share the specific report or page you're viewing where you'd like to see this detail? Thanks!

Bills - Hold previous selection when returning to list after editing a bill
Tick boxes on the awaiting payment bills screen to remain after editing a bill in Xero.
Before the new update to Xero, it was possible while ticking bills in the (Bills - Awaiting Payment Tab) - for a batch payment, to edit any that might have a slight error. For instance if you had ticked about 100 bills and noticed one had the wrong amount, it used to be possible to edit it, use the back arrow to go back to your Awaiting Payment Tab and all the bills you had previously ticked, were still ticked (or highlighted in blue).…
