  1. Batch payments - details don't copy over into right hand columns when doing batch payments . I have raised this with Xero and they have indicated that never been raised with them before . Has anyone found a quick solution to this?

  2. Add a new setting within fixed assets to set a minimum value for fixed assets.

    We have a minimum value we capitalise of £250, but some bookkeepers we use still post trivial items to fixed assets.

    Below the threshold they would not be able to post to the fixed asset nominals.

  3. If in a 'normal' pay run an employee takes Annual Leave then Leave loading is shown as a separate line item - clear to the payroll person and the employee. However in a Final Pay run it does not show. Being consolidated with the leave sum is not obvious. Please keep to the 'normal' format, then it's clear to everyone

  4. In the list view of "bills awaiting approval" it would be really helpful to have an option to display a column with the account the bill has been assigned to, and the VAT; this is the two items I need to check before approving bills and being able to just tick and approve most would save so much time.

  5. It is possible to look at a list of transactions for each item in the Sales by Item report. However, it is not possible to edit the layout to add custiomer location and therefore not possible to create a report showing both customer location and item(s) purchased.

    That would be helpful, as it would show geographic market *********** by item type.

  6. Hello Xero
    Please fix the table content in your invoicing to auto calculate the balance of a split entry like a lot of other accounting softwares offer. Its very frustrating to have to use an external device to split an entries value. I am talking about GST free and GST active entries on the 1 invoice. such as insurance - stamp duty is GST free the rest of the invoice has GST in it - one has to use a calculator to split the payments up

  7. Could Xero please introduce the ability to report child support deductions and garnishees via STP reporting to the ATO.

    Xero currently does not support reporting of child support deductions through STP Phase 2 with Xero Payroll.

  8. Currently, to invoice from a quote = a standard invoice. There needs to be an option to create an repeating invoice also. This is consistent with the request to change a standard invoice into a repeating invoice also.

  10. Being able to turn off "suggest previous entries" can prevent clients being to trigger happy with the "Ok's" in the bank rec screen. Unfortunately, this option does not flow through to the Xero APP. Can this please be updated.

If I want to change the Payment Frequency for Superannuation from quarterly to monthly, I currently have to do it for each and every employee individually, A fair waste of time because there are many employees on the list to change, but I've done it. When it becomes mandatory in 2024 to pay all employees fortnightly, I'm hoping to be able to 'Select All' employees, and select to change the Payment Frequency' from Monthly to Fortnightly. Do you know if this has been discussed or is likely to become an option for us?

  12. New Xero Activity Statement Report

    It would be great if the new activity statement report automatically converted standard BAS to simpler BAS when importing into Xero Tax like the old ones has done for ages. We don't like having to produce two different types of reconciliations within our practice because then there are two different ways of doing things, which confuses junior staff. We want Xero to make things easier and automatically import the needed data as the old activity statement report does.

  13. When pasting content from a Word document that has bullet points and other basic formatting, this formatting is lost and you end up with one large block of unformatted text.

    All our invoices have terms and conditions pasted in depending on the application of our products. We have to switch to Classic Invoicing where the formatting functionality still works, before sending the email to the customer, .

    Please resolve this urgently before phasing out Classic Invoicing.

    An example image is attached with a short portion of our terms and conditions to show the non-existent formatting.

  14. Invoices - Prefix in Date Format

    It would be great we could choose an invoice prefix in a date format that automatically updates each day. For example 20231123-01, 20231124-01 02 03 etc.

    I track my invoices by the date in which I send them so this feature would save me alot of time instead of having to manually update the date in the invoice prefix each day.

    Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.

    For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

  16. Would it be possible to add Project Codes as a selectable column in the Account Transactions report? We would find this most useful as it would save time.

    • It would be helpful if we could retrieve copies or make reprints of prior year payments. This is particular helpful where a new client comes on board, and you will not have history on files.

  19. This is basic, if you want people to move to XERO make it easy to import data from existing systems. I have a huge amount of expenses to get into XERO and you can't use Bills because that is limited to 5 Bills per month!

    I pay for expenses so if the work around is use Bills import then remove the 5 Bill/m limit.

  20. Invoice Settings - be able to turn off the Auto Sequencing Invoice Number.
    I need to input a specific, externally generated invoice number when invoicing.
    It would be nice to have the invoice number field blank, ready for me to input it.
    Currently there is no option other than to have an auto sequenced number in the field.
    Yes, I can delete it and then input my number but would be great if I could have a blank field.
