  3. I am trying to archive legacy quotes - I have followed your instructions but when I highlight the selected quotes, there is no option button for archive?

    We want our quotes section to a more true reflection of the current business activity but at the same time do not want to have to delete legacy quotes. There is a need to archive similar to Inventory feature.

  4. i would like to that when you have made a superannuation payment through Xero, that it creates a bill, with a screen shot or a list of employees that has been paid. will make it easier for when you have an audit.

  6. It would be useful if Xero could show when a subcontractor is verified with HMRC, due to the two year verification rule.

    If the date of verification could be shown on a report that would be great, then it would be easy to identify if a re-verification is required.

  7. Permanent inventory item on a specific invoice template

    For example, we are an automotive repair shop
    If I was to have a specific invoice template for 'vehicle servicing' and would like every service invoice to come up with Sundries and Freight automatically

    This would be a great way to save time as well as making sure everything is being charged out correctly

    Hi everyone, thanks for your interest in the idea here. While we don’t have immediate work planned for adding the ability to enable permanent items within an invoice template, as mentioned in my last update an option for now would be to create a 'dummy' contact that you could create invoices for and leave in a draft status. When you want to use that invoice as the template you can then use the copy to option.

    On a separate note, our teams are doing some more discovery to better understand our invoicing users and we wanted to engage you all here. 

    As we continue to plan further developments within invoicing, our product teams would like to better understand our invoicing users for future improvements.   8. I have to create a biill with about 60 line items which contain a mix of duplicate and variable information. As there's no way to duplicate line items in bills, I employed a workaround by exporting Xero's inbuilt bills template file 'BillTemplate.csv'. In Excel I was then able to quickly and easily create 60 copies of the same line item, make the changes necessary and import the csv file into Xero which successfully created the bill containing the 60 line items - thus saving me hours of wasted time.

  9. It would be great to have an option to run a sales report by item which includes draft invoices, delivery dockets, and purchase orders as well.

    For example, I tried to run a sales report on qty of each product sold for the financial year to date and realised this information was inaccurate as we had sold a significant qty as draft invoices (using draft invoicing in lieu of delivery docket functionality), these products were not included in the sales report.

  10. Customer Statements - Would be good if customer statements could include a prepayment balance somewhere on the statement. My client receives a lot of prepayments and would like customers to be able to see at a glance their remaining credit.

    Hi team, wanting to jump in to provide a little clarity as there are 2 different points arising through this idea.

    Currently, customer prepayments will only be shown on a customer's Activity statement, not Outstanding statements.

    The way prepayments work in Xero, these only impact the Accounts receivable once it's applied to an invoice, therefore they don't impact the total of the statement balance.

    If you want to impact the total balance, you may want to consider entering these sort of payments as Overpayments in your account. You can read more on how this works in our Xero central article.

    To be open here, we don't have any short term plans for changing how these transaction types are treated in statements.

  12. Can you please add a filter to the payments page so we can filter them to show just the incoming payments. It would make it a lot easier to reconcile the payments if we don't have to scroll through all the outgoing payments as well.

  13. The new invoicing doesn`t transfer the "Reference" field information to the email area and I have to retype this every time. The previous version just transferred it all. Now this means more work, having to input the reference three times in the process
    Also there is no confirmation anywhere that the files I attach are being sent. If you PREVIEW it does not show the files anywhere ?

    Hi team, thank you for engaging with us on your needs around auto super. I want to confirm that our product team are aware of your interest in this here.

    Right now, there are a few other items that need their immediate attention, so while there are no immediate plans for developing this, it's something they'll continue to review as resource becomes available. If there is any change to share around this we'll update you all through this idea.

  15. Find and Recode - Contact Groups: I have a need for recoding transactions to add or correct tracking categories based on contact groups. We need to provide summary and filtered reporting based on tracking categories which we cannot efficiently find without the contact group. Please add contact groups to find and recode.

  16. One custom template layout that could be transferred over all reports. We have multiple nominal codes for income and expenditure which means a lot of work to set up a new custom report. I currently have to export into excel which can cause errors.

  17. When uploading an expense claim, Xero should auto populate data like date, organisation, amount to cut down on data entry and mistakes.

    Hubdoc has this feature, can this be applied to expense claims?

    Appreciate you confirming that you were referring to this from the desktop version, Kelly. I'll re-open the idea here. It's not something we have plans on at present but will track this here, and let you know if any change i s planned.

  18. Would be useful to be able to narrow column width, especially when decimals are removed and more months are required on 1 page. Similar to Excel, where we can change width and height of rows or columns.

  19. Current subscription payment method only allows debit/credit cards, it creates an additional step for the cardholder to claim back the fund from company every month. Therefore, I need the option to pay for the Xero subscription via auto GIRO deduction directly from company's bank account. It is more logical to have auto GIRO option since the subscription is for company use and the payment is recurring.

  20. Xero calculates VAT on a line by line basis and rounds up at every instance. This leads to the VAT amount sometimes being more than a few pennies over the top of what it should be.

    I propose that Xero calculates VAT to 3 decimal places, which will mostly eliminate this over payment to the VAT man and overcharging our customers. Or it only calculates VAT at the end of the invoice.
