Ability to charge a credit card on file
It would streamline workflow if there was a feature that allowed us to store a client's credit card on file and when a single invoice is sent out to the client, the business can charge the card on file.
In previous invoicing systems, I was able to "store" a client's credit card on file and then invoice and charge the credit card on file. This is an important feature for my business as it removes the burden off my clients for paying the invoice and reduces the amount of follow up on my end for collecting payment.

AU - Manually edit AU GST on transactions
In Australia, users need to be able to manually edit the amount of GST paid on a transaction. This is required because certain transactions (particularly grocery and pharmacy transactions) have a mixture of items, some of which have GST applied, and some that do not. Unfortunately, the receipts for these types of transactions do not indicate which specific items have incurred GST - they just have a total amount of GST paid on that receipt. As such, it would be great if users could just override the total amount of GST paid for those receipts. See attached for an example…

Bank Reconciliation - Reconciliation history in the bank feed section
In the bank feed section. Please make the vendor history available when going through bank feeds. QBO has a button in the bank feeds called Categorization History. This way to do not have to go into a contact page to view how something was coded in the past. This is for things without rules.

Batch Payments - Split supplier batch run totals to contact on bank feed
Could the batch payment run on the bank feed be split to contact amount on the bank feed. At present I run a batch payment in xero which is quicker and I can send out all the relevant remittance advices to suppliers. However I haven't got a batch facility on my bank so enter these payments manually for each individual supplier.
This means when I come to reconcile the bank I have to delete the xero batch payment run and match up the invoices again via the bank reconciliation. This feels like I am doing the work twice, and notes…5 votes -

Invoices - Ability to set "Ask a question" replies to be sent to the organisation delegated email address
Currently, when a client clicks on "Ask a question" when viewing their invoice. This message is sent to the staff members personal email that created the contact in Xero rather than the delegated email address the organisation has selected in Email settings.
What if the staff member no longer works at the company or these emails are being missed as they are not sent to the organisations delegated email?

Trial balance | Cash basis - Show depreciation
Change to New Trial Balance
If the trial balance is set to cash rather than accruals I can no longer see the depreciation and accumulated depreciation accounts. This is a pain for clients who report on a cash basis but still have depreciation. These accounts should appear on cash or accruals as this does not effect whether it is claimed in the tax return.

AU Payroll - Include Salary Sacrifice amounts when calculating HECS/STSL deductions
When a staff member has a HECS debt or other Student Loan selected AND is salary sacrificing - the Student loan amount is only calculated on the GROSS amount AFTER the salary sacrifice however when the staff member has gone to do their tax return, they have a tax bill because the ATO looks at the taxable income as an amount INCLUDING the salary sacrifice so via Xero not enough PAYGW has been withheld - can this be amended?

Contacts - Compact view to reduce white space
In the new contact view, everything is spread out, with lots of wasted white space (similar to the bills list without 'compact view' toggled, or the list of repeating bills (which doesn't have the ability to be compact in view). I can deal with the info I need to pick a transaction to open being on complete opposite sides of a widescreen by pulling the contact into a new window and reducing the width of that window until it's readable without excessive twisting of the head (a poor workaround for an ergonomics risk, but it's the only one I could…

AU Payroll - Add 'Payslips Sent' flag to STP filing screen
It would be good if you could go into 'Pay Employees' and next to the STP - Filed or not filed it would be good to have 'Payslips Emailed'. I have no way of checking / double checking if I have sent them.

Projects - See all unpaid bills linked to a Project invoice
When I assign supplier invoices to a project then charge the client those amounts and get paid, at the moment to then go and pay those supplier invoices after being payed by the client I have to note down all the invoice numbers then go into bills to pay and find all the invoices to create a batch payment. it would be helpful to be able to pay the bills attached to the invoice through the project tab or even be able to select an invoice in the bills tab and have it show all the bills attached to that…

Any search function in Xero to ignore additional space characters
For example, the search box does not find results if there is a space at the end of the search term. More often than not, if you are copying and pasting a piece of text with the search term, the device will add a space at the end and most non-technical users will not realise that the cause of no results from the query is due to a space they cannot see. e.g for invoices and products and services

Projects: Universal Markup
Products and materials
Other packages provide a means to set a default value to mark up items from their cost value then automatically set the sales value accordingly.
The user would then preset a markup value to be applied across the whole list of items in Products and Services.
Also, a universal feature to adjust for price increases from a pulldown list of the inventory.6 votes -
Payroll UK - Support for Plan 1 and Plan 2 student loans concurrently
Payroll UK Student Loans
Some employees can have Plan 1 and 2 at the same time. At present Xero payroll can only deal with 1 plan. The option should exist for an employee to select more than 1 Plan and the correct deductions be made.
This is how repayments are allocated between Plan 1 and Plan 2 loans
For the 2023/24 tax year the repayment thresholds are as follows:
• Plan 1 loans: £22,015
• Plan 2 loans: £27,295
If you earn below £22,015 you will make no loan repayments.
If you earn between £22,015 and £27,295 you will make…7 votes
