  1. The chart of accounts should really have opening stock, closing stock and dividends as these are items that are usually needed, or perhaps some codes should be blank and we can amend them to our clients needs. The Chart of accounts are currently very basic and when adding a new code it should give you the available codes under each section i.e. for direct costs give an indication of which 300 code is available and where it should be rather than us having to guess.

  2. When suppliers are paid, the payment is given a reference, and this is then used to file paperwork. We can no longer see the payment reference when reviewing paid supplier invoices. Please bring this back.

  4. PRIMARY & SECONDARY/OTHER CONTACTS

    Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?

  5. There is no functionality in Xero to 'Hide account codes on all pages' as we have "Hide decimals on all pages'.

    Can we have this functionality - at present we need to check each page before publishing to ensure that there are no account codes showing.

  6. When delete a file, do not automatically delete it from the linked transaction.

    I have had a client delete many of their files from the file library, as she wanted to 'clean it up'. This has in turn deleted them from all the bills/spend money transactions etc and we now have lost access to all the source documents and will need to reenter them.

    Even a warning that this would happen, would be better than just wiping everything.

  7. Xero needs to have an option in either Income Type or Tax Scale for employees on the Seasonal Worker Program, ie PALM Workers, so that the system automatically taxes them at the flat rate of 15%.

    At the moment I have approx 33 such employees and I must adjust their tax in every single payrun.

    The ATO have a specific code (W > P) that should be used for these workers under STP Phase 2 reporting.   9. Hi - it would be great if there was an indication on the Demo company when the data will be reset. We know it is every 28 days but when is the 28 days up. I've lost demo testing in preparation to show a client how Xero can help them.

  11. Xero expenses has been with us for 5 years. There have been no significant feature upgrades despite us all paying extra for the privilege.
    Basic functionality like searchability, proper alignment with bill functionality to search suppliers and see total engagement with suppliers, ability to include attachments (e.g. bill documents from expenses) to pass through to customer invoices, ability to add a markup to expenses (e.g. for common cost plus models) etc. - NONE, not a little, nothing, zilch, nada of this has been actioned by Xero and nobody seems to be available or interested in discussing it.   12. We have had a number of issues relating to modified invoices / documents within Xero. It would be great if there is a way we can setup alerts or email notifications each time certain documents are modified such as invoices or figures on forms etc. This would allow our Financial Controller to oversee all changes made on a global level.

  14. Please Please put the option to see what branding theme is on the invoice on the DRAFT invoice page -- If you have 50 invoices in a batch with different themes its a nightmare. And then also Step 2 - PLEASE link the email template automatically to the branding theme. It would make our lives much simpler. We process many invoices in batches with two different themes. Not having the ability to even see the branding on the draft page is crazy. How hard can it be to put that field up as a display item - You have others…

  16. Ability to insert forecasted figures into Xero and run a forecast report alongside the budget report. We get to half year and assess how on track we are with budget and more often than not it makes sense to adjust the forecast numbers for the remainder of the period but not lose sight of what the budget was in the first place.
    If we're able to run a report with actuals for YTD and forecast for the remainder of the period it would be hugely helpful

  17. Restore the ability to see the total number of days an invoice is overdue from the client contact page for credit control. It used to say 125 days overdue in red - that has gone so it is now not as easy to decide how firm to be when emailing a client to chase a late invoice. Those days overdue on an email heading get attention fast.

  18. Fault on new contact page - when an invoice is paid using an overpayment is show £0 in the amount paid column! If an invoice is ONLY paid with an overpayment it therefore shows £0 paid £0 due. It should show the full amount paid by any payment method.

  20. We often use the quick search feature in Xero, and it is often used just to get the client code for files. It would be incredibly helpful if the client code populated next to the client name in the quick search bar to make it easier to see
