  1. We're only a small business with a lot of recurring revenue and expenses. We use the The P&L to track changes in activity from month to month. It would be really useful to be indicate any changes from the previous month that with an up (^) or down (v) indication, or maybe a color indication.

    To remove distractions, it would be useful to associate a tolerance (+/-% or value) to each account code. Changes below that tolerance would be ignored.

  2. Could there be an option to link an address for a contact group to members of that group?

    We have many NHS customers who order under individual staff names but are linked to NHS Trusts. So for instance, John Smith, David Brown, Elle Davis may all work for Clydeside NHS.

    We'd like to have them all grouped under "Clydeside NHS" (can do that) and be able to flag that they all share the same Billing Address which is an attribute of that Contact Group.

  3. Awaiting payment - max 200 bills.
    I have a supplier who I pay monthly and there are always over 200 bills. I want to make one batch payment for the whole amount, but currently I have to do it on two - the first 200 bills, and then the remaining. Please can this 200 limit be increased?

  5. If there's an error in a payrun that causes STP filing to fail, that payrun shows up in STP finalisation for that financial year as something to fix. Given that filing STP just gives the YTD totals to the ATO, this means that even if I've fixed what caused the error, by doing a correcting payrun (as per Xero instructions), I will still be told that it needs fixing when running the STP finalisation for the EOFY.   7. Pay items bulk upload

    can we please have a way of updating pay items in bulk
    when items are imported via a different pay system the W1 area is not updated
    and to do 100 items takes so much time as they have to be one indivually.
    other items can be exported, updated and then imported back

  9. When downloading the individual payslip it would be nice if the PDF would say the persons name rather than the default filename of Payslip (1) etc
    Other payroll software such as Shape does this. Shame that Xero doesn't

  10. EORI numbers are required for all European customers especially when invoicing/shipping goods. It is an extension of their VAT numbers. Please can XERO create a new field on the contacts for this. We are recording this currently in the new notes or "FAX" number so it shows quickly. Are Fax numbers still necessary?

  11. When creating a bill from a purchase order, it does not bring over the purchase order date. The date automatically changes to the date you are processing.
    Is there anyway you could keep the date.

  12. Broken down to location/ postal code with the total cost for a contact/supplier in any period is needed.
    I am aware 'the expenses by contact' gives you the total spend in a year but this doesn't filter down to location/ addresses or post code. At year end a key part of our process is reporting local suppliers for our social impact and purpose, we have to complete a time consuming exercise entering addresses/location manually line by line for key suppliers in excel.   13. I have different managers responsible for different employee timesheets so therefore I would really like the ability to authorise specific managers to employees. Am still using mostly paper timesheets because of the massive deficiencies in the XeroMe ones (think is one of the many reasons).
    I don't think its appropriate that anyone authorised can access all timesheets as it does nothing but create confusion and the potential to authorise the wrong ones. Also unnecessarily time consuming.

    Is it possible to please add some tickboxes/controls to remove this hurdle?

  14. I am unable to go through cash coding as I am often required to apply a transaction to a pre set item, as some clients like more of a break down of what a transaction relates to. It would be good if you had an Item tab on cash coding so you can apply those transactions to an item all at once instead of opening each individual transaction up and entering an item.

  15. A option to have a price list added to a specific customer so that the pricing for that specific customer is automatically added when invoicing. I have been through the app store and cannot find an app that offers this feature and integrates with Xero. It is silly that all other accounting software offer this option yet Xero has no interest in adding it to their system

  16. When reviewing the 'Account Transactions' report in Xero there is an ability to filter by 'Source' type. However, only the 'Select all' option includes Payroll Expense Journals.

    Considering I can filter around every other transaction type, I don't see why Payroll Expense Journals can't be added as a source option?

    I know exporting to Excel works as a workaround - but considering every other source type is available adding one more shouldn't be difficult?

    Hi team, appreciate recent feedback when we recently merged this idea to this one. Understand that there's a bit of a difference in what's being asked between the two ideas, and we've unmerged to continue to track these ideas separately. 

    Being open there are no current plans to add a filter for Payroll expense journal to Source, however we will continue to get a sense of the interest in this and let you know if any progress is made, here. 

  17. We really need to be able to set a limit, be it based on number of instances or a dollar amount. Having to do it maunally at present is very problematic when you have a large payroll.

  18. When searching for a bank institution, you all should allow for searches for the bank URL home page and also include a logo of the bank with each institution. For example, 'First Bank' has 40 different institutions and each sound similar to the next. Please consider creating better identifiers for each bank institution Xero integrates with. (QBO does this)

    Hi community, our Product team have recently made an improvement to the flow of adding a bank account in Xero. To make the task of adding a bank easier in Xero, we've enabled the option to click the information icon next to a bank and view it's URL so you can identify that you're selecting the correct bank when connecting a bank feed. 


    We appreciate this isn't the direct ask in the idea of being able to search by URL, and while we'll continue to monitor the feedback on this here we don't have direct plans for developing the ability to search URL at this time. 

  19. I would like to see a report that listed all the bank accounts, their balance at the report date and the date of the last imported bank statement line. For a company with more than a handful of accounts it would make it much easier to see which accounts needed to be brought up to date for accounts prep.

  20. Currently remittance advice can be sent based on payments. It is not possible to send multiple remittances at the same time without using the batch payment method.

    As we have a lot to send, is it possible to look into some ways to send some remittance advice in a more efficient way for cases like with several payments to one person or multiple advice to multiple receivers? Or any automation for regular ones? Instead of downloading PDF one by one / sending email by payments one by one?
