Xero Analytics | Short term cash flows - Balance sheet modeling required
Ability to show future cash flow projection in Xero.
Purpose: To effectively plan and manage the upcoming fund needs of an organisation.
13 votesHello everyone, thanks for voting and commenting on this idea. Available right now is the short-term cash flow dashboard, which is a tool that visualises your future bank balance based on upcoming bills and invoices. The Analytics Plus version of this dashboard allows you to look 90 days into the future, and can make predictions for recurring cash transactions based on your spend and receive money history.
At this stage there are no plans to extend out the timeframe of this tool, or to account for balance sheet items but we’ll keep monitoring this idea, so please continue to add your feedback here on how this feature can improve your workflow.
If there’s any news to share, we’ll come back here and let you all now.

232 votesHi all - thanks for taking the time to provide your votes and commentary on the idea to enable subtotals in invoices. We appreciate how this would make invoicing easier and enable you to provide a clear breakdown on invoices.
As you can imagine with a global product, the variety of ideas we receive is expansive and so the product team focuses on building features that will meet most people’s needs. In the interest of transparency at this stage this idea is not currently planned. However we’re still open to receiving feedback and votes. It could always be reconsidered at a later date.
In the meantime it’s worth highlighting (as a few have mentioned already) a workaround is to generate an invoice as a PDF and then edit the PDF externally. Alternatively our Xero App Store has many invoicing providers who may do this. You can browse the invoice providers…

Sales Invoices - Combine and hide line items for customers
Ability to combine and hide line items in the invoices.
Purpose: To have good accounting and tracking of sales without showing the client the breakdown of all the items involved
177 votesHi all, appreciate the interest and rationale for wanting to be able to combine and hide line items on an invoice for sending to your clients, while having your usual detail tracked on the invoice in Xero.
While this may be a function we look to explore in the long-term we want to be upfront that this is not something we’ll be developing in the near term. Our team is focussed on other key priorities right now such as improvements to invoice branding and getting paid.
If you want to hide all line item details, you can create a custom invoice theme where you can decide which data fields appear on the PDF invoice. For example to print only the Subtotal and no line items.
However we’re aware that in other cases you want to be able to show some line items and not others. We’ll leave this idea open…

We’re continuing to build on the bank reconciliation experience in Xero and recognise the ways this feature will help improve the efficiency, flexibility and transparency of transactions in your business. Our team have done a lot of exploration into being able to surface and match Credit Notes when reconciling your bank account in Xero, and this is now in development.
We’ll shift the idea here into ‘Working on it’ and continue to update as there’s more detail of this to share.

52 votesHi everyone, understand there are some businesses that have other processes in their sales flows that we don't currently have direct features for. Being open we don't have any plans for developing a Sales Order Acknowledgement atm.
In lieu of this, we wanted to share how you might be able to create a new branding theme and edit the Quote template for this atm.
You could create a separate branding theme for Order Acknowledgements. Editing the title of the Quote template.
Once the quote is accepted and you want to send an acknowledgement, you'll want to edit the quote and select the 'order acknowledgement' branding you've created.

307 votesThanks for your continued engagement with us on this idea, everyone. We understand there are many different ways business work and conduct business with customers, and that you need more flexibility in the way you manage and receive payments for invoices with Xero. While pockets of research have been done in the past we’re getting a fresh lens and conducting a broader piece of discovery to deeply analyse and understand where our efforts could be focused in this space to alleviate existing hurdles in receiving payments for majority of Xero users. We’d like to open the invite to be a part of our teams research pool, where you’d get the chance to share more on the importance of managing payments for your business. This may involve being interviewed, or helping answer questions through short surveys or questionnaires.
