In the new contact view, everything is spread out, with lots of wasted white space (similar to the bills list without 'compact view' toggled, or the list of repeating bills (which doesn't have the ability to be compact in view).   2. The ability to add a Project (Revenue) Variation would be a huge help.
    If one can add a project (cost) variation using a Task, adding a Revenue variation should be achievable in Xero

When I assign supplier invoices to a project then charge the client those amounts and get paid, at the moment to then go and pay those supplier invoices after being payed by the client I have to note down all the invoice numbers then go into bills to pay and find all the invoices to create a batch payment. it would be helpful to be able to pay the bills attached to the invoice through the project tab or even be able to select an invoice in the bills tab and have it show all the bills attached to that…

  7. Payroll UK Student Loans
    Some employees can have Plan 1 and 2 at the same time. At present Xero payroll can only deal with 1 plan. The option should exist for an employee to select more than 1 Plan and the correct deductions be made.
    This is how repayments are allocated between Plan 1 and Plan 2 loans
    For the 2023/24 tax year the repayment thresholds are as follows:
    • Plan 1 loans: £22,015
    • Plan 2 loans: £27,295
    If you earn below £22,015 you will make no loan repayments.

  8. It would be very helpful if any super that has had the 'Mark as Paid' applied was also shown on the superannuation status page and also on the Superannuation Payments Report too. It is a collaborative QA, transparancy/visibility thing that would be very helpful given we have clients, BASAgents, Bookkeepers and Accountants all trying to make sure a client meets all obligations so showing this would provide good clear confirmation as to what has occured no matter which 'advisor' with permission logged in - we can all support each other this way.

  9. Ability: Xero only displaying the unpaid invoice up top under client/contact ----- same as former Xero version - PLEASE change this back it was perfect and it is very much not userfriendly now

    Purpose: quick overview of the account i.e. which invoices are unpaid and what was communicated last

  10. When completing bookkeeping for a client, if you were to go out of the reconciliation tab you have to go back to the dashboard to get back into. I think that if there was a 'reconcile' link in the 'business' tab if would make us more efficient.

While our primary business banking account transactions import automatically via a bank feed, the process of importing the transactions from our payment processors/gateways into their respective bank accounts in Xero are manual and add many hours of admin - there is already some integration with these gateways to support payments and this could be extended to include transactions flowing into Xero.

  12. The "Outstanding bills" amount shown when viewing an invoice online is always shown in the Xero base currency, even when the invoice is in a different currency. This is not a good customer experience for international customers.

    Specific example: My base currency in Xero is NZD. When I send an invoice to an Australian client the invoice is in AUD. When the client views the invoice online, it has AUD for the invoice amount, but in the blue bar at the top it shows "Outstanding bills" in NZD.

  14. The sales tax lookup tool is really nice to have on invoices. That function should be added to quotes. When I'm trying to quote a customer, that isn't an option (sales tax lookup). I have to select a pre-saved tax rate. Seems like it would be easy to add that.

  18. It would be really helpful to be able to add a note/comment next to contact email addresses. Such as "Use if sending a remittance", "Only use for purchase orders" or "Business owner - only email if urgent". These comments could sit under or beside the email address in the contact's edit section so that it doesn't crowd the side bar of information. That way we don't annoy the customer by sending some emails to the wrong account and we also don't need to keep sticky notes for such specific customer details for each of our many clients.
