Contacts - Add fields for Primary/Secondary/Other contacts

Thanks Grace - it would be great rather than editing and reentering information if there was a field titled "Primary Contact" and Secondary Contact for eg where we could just update that field using a drop-down box as opposed to re-entering customer information. It would definitely save a lot of time. Maybe something to add in the future?

Reporting - Tick box to hide account codes when publishing
There is no functionality in Xero to 'Hide account codes on all pages' as we have "Hide decimals on all pages'.
Can we have this functionality - at present we need to check each page before publishing to ensure that there are no account codes showing.

Xero Files - Retain transaction attachments when removing files
When delete a file, do not automatically delete it from the linked transaction.
I have had a client delete many of their files from the file library, as she wanted to 'clean it up'. This has in turn deleted them from all the bills/spend money transactions etc and we now have lost access to all the source documents and will need to reenter them.
Even a warning that this would happen, would be better than just wiping everything.

AU Payroll - Add Seasonal Worker option for income type/tax scale
Xero needs to have an option in either Income Type or Tax Scale for employees on the Seasonal Worker Program, ie PALM Workers, so that the system automatically taxes them at the flat rate of 15%.
At the moment I have approx 33 such employees and I must adjust their tax in every single payrun.
The ATO have a specific code (W > P) that should be used for these workers under STP Phase 2 reporting. Purchase Orders - Option to part-receive
Receiving part orders. No "back order" capability. So what is the point of using purchase orders when you can't change to a "Bill" if only part of the order has been sent/received?

Demo Company - Reset date countdown
Hi - it would be great if there was an indication on the Demo company when the data will be reset. We know it is every 28 days but when is the 28 days up. I've lost demo testing in preparation to show a client how Xero can help them.

Expense Claims - More functionality
Xero expenses has been with us for 5 years. There have been no significant feature upgrades despite us all paying extra for the privilege.
Basic functionality like searchability, proper alignment with bill functionality to search suppliers and see total engagement with suppliers, ability to include attachments (e.g. bill documents from expenses) to pass through to customer invoices, ability to add a markup to expenses (e.g. for common cost plus models) etc. - NONE, not a little, nothing, zilch, nada of this has been actioned by Xero and nobody seems to be available or interested in discussing it. Invoicing - Notification when an invoice or document is modified
We have had a number of issues relating to modified invoices / documents within Xero. It would be great if there is a way we can setup alerts or email notifications each time certain documents are modified such as invoices or figures on forms etc. This would allow our Financial Controller to oversee all changes made on a global level.

Invoices - Ability to show invoice branding theme in Draft list page
Please Please put the option to see what branding theme is on the invoice on the DRAFT invoice page -- If you have 50 invoices in a batch with different themes its a nightmare. And then also Step 2 - PLEASE link the email template automatically to the branding theme. It would make our lives much simpler. We process many invoices in batches with two different themes. Not having the ability to even see the branding on the draft page is crazy. How hard can it be to put that field up as a display item - You have others…

Contacts - UK specific address fields in contact record
At present when editing a contact, the fields are in USA format with Zip code and State - it would be much better for the UK if we could see Postcode and County

Reporting - Add a Forecast in addition to a Budget, and include in Profit & Loss
Ability to insert forecasted figures into Xero and run a forecast report alongside the budget report. We get to half year and assess how on track we are with budget and more often than not it makes sense to adjust the forecast numbers for the remainder of the period but not lose sight of what the budget was in the first place.
If we're able to run a report with actuals for YTD and forecast for the remainder of the period it would be hugely helpful43 votes -
Credit control- Add 'Days Overdue' to Contacts
Restore the ability to see the total number of days an invoice is overdue from the client contact page for credit control. It used to say 125 days overdue in red - that has gone so it is now not as easy to decide how firm to be when emailing a client to chase a late invoice. Those days overdue on an email heading get attention fast.

Contact - Show total overpayment amount on Contact page
Fault on new contact page - when an invoice is paid using an overpayment is show £0 in the amount paid column! If an invoice is ONLY paid with an overpayment it therefore shows £0 paid £0 due. It should show the full amount paid by any payment method.

Contact Bank Activity Graph
Reinstate the bank activity graph for contacts (clients) which used to enable us to see all bank activity for all bank accounts on the client contact page. Give us back our credit control eyes!

Xero dashboard - See client code in quick search
We often use the quick search feature in Xero, and it is often used just to get the client code for files. It would be incredibly helpful if the client code populated next to the client name in the quick search bar to make it easier to see

AU Payroll - Remove past employees from drop-down menu in payroll reports
It would be great to be able to remove past employees from the drop-down menus when generating Payroll reports. This would be particularly helpful for businesses who employ a lot of staff members, especially if there's a high churn rate.

Bank Reconciliation - Attachment deletion alert when using Remove and Redo
When selecting Remove and Redo for Spend transactions, all attachments are lost.
If the attachments are receipts that were photographed using the Xero app, they are not kept on the Xero app either.
This means that selecting Remove and Redo is the same as throwing the original receipt in the shredder, not just in the bin to potentially be retrieved later.
A pop-up warning asking if you'd like to save the attachments to the File Library before removing and redoing would avoid the loss of the transaction's supporting documentation.14 votes -
Budget Variance Consolidated Report - Option to customise date range
Budget Variance Report for 12 months.
Currently the budget variance report is restricted within a selected date range. If we are able to customize the budget variance for the below two options:
Option 1: If there is an option to run the variance report for previous financial year for the 12 individual month with the actual and budget variance.
Option 2: For current Financial Year, if there is an option to customize the monthly actual and budget variance report including the budget for the reminder of 11 months.

Sales Overview - Add column with invoice line details

When I used sage 50 account before, I could see a list of invoices and first few lines of what the include.
