    Hi team, as mentioned in my last update this is already possible with the option to export invoices as a CSV. This will download your invoices with the detail in a CSV format that could be used for some of the purposes described here.

    I want to be open that we don't have any plans at this time for enabling a download of multiple invoices at a time as separate PDF documents.

    While the idea will moved to Not in pipeline voting will remain open, and if it does pick up traction from the community we may revisit.

  2. You can enter a group for an employee on the employment information but this function cannot be used on the reports.

    If the information of which employee is in which group, then surely its not a huge leap to add this function to the reports. Using the gross to net report, you could select a group rather than an individual, saving a lot of time.

  3. When I reconcile a transaction in my bank account I can enter a "Why". I.e. Gas for Youth Hostel. So when I have multiple transactions to the same customer, under the same Chart of Account I can differentiate them.

    However, this data entry can not be pulled into a report. This is really hampering my ability to differentiate my transactions.

    Hi Stephen, is there a specific report you've been running to try include this data? 

    When creating a transaction during bank rec, the 'why' is saved as the description of the transaction. You should be able to  run the Account Transactions report to view this detail in the Account you've coded payment too. Let me know how you get on. 🙂

  4. Allow us to select 'reoccurring payment' in a repeating invoice for Gocardless in Xero.

    When Xero generates a repeating invoice that is setup for auto collection from Gocardless, it is classed as a new payment each time and sends the Gocardless customer an email everytime.

    In Gocardless when subscriptions were done through its own systems, they were classed as reoccurring payments and therefore as per BACS rules, the customer does not need to be informed everytime payment is taken.

    We have over 400 monthly payments and growing, we can't keep emailing customers everytime we take their approved monthly payment, it…

  5. When making a batch payment, it's always a pain to have to exit to get the missing bank details.

    I'd love there to be a link to the bill to check the bank details on the document. Adding that extra layer of protection as well for those who want to make sure the bills bank details actually match back to the payments.

    It sounds like the suppliers payment details maybe held somewhere on the original bill that's been entered, Laura - Is this correct? 

    Is this detail that would commonly change for a supplier you work with? Generally when creating a batch this information is pulled from the contacts record.

  7. Would like to add add decimals (up to 4) in the bank rule feature for the tax rates (otherwise I need to manually change all the amount of my reconciliations which is time consuming).

    For instance at the moment we can input 102.15% but not 102.1451% which is what I would like to have.

  8. Present fx translation to any currency of choice on the face of a sales invoice, instead of being limited to the base currency only. As required by various local VAT authorities, the sale value & VAT must be shown in local currency - which can differ to the invoice currency.

    Example: a business invoices in GBP or USD, but must charge UAE VAT and therefore present fx translation to AED on the face of their sales invoices. This is not currently possible using the standard or advanced templates.

  10. To be able to search the Tracking Categories on the set up page. Also to have a duplicate warning would be very helpful.

    This search function would stop a Tracking number/ name, being entered twice. The list for us is very long!

  12. I want to track certain yearly expenses. I wish to put a limit to the expenses. When they reach the limit,I wish Xero can alert me. Eg Setting a limit on staff benefit per employee as $1,000. Once $1,000 is reached, a message can be sent to me.

  14. As a small business it is hard when employees take time off when sick especially with 10 days now. We have an incentive in our contract to either roll these over or cash them up however this is not available through Xero.

    Appreciate you sharing detail and why you'd like a cash up option with us here. Being open, as this is more specific to your business(not regulatory) we don't have plans for adding a cash up option within NZ Payroll.

    However, there are currently two ways you could achieve this within Xero Payroll today

    1. Leave the Sick Leave maximum to accrue value as nil this will allow an indefinite roll over of sick leave
    2. If you're wanting to cash up then enter a sick leave request for a single day and enter the total value of a week to cash up with a description of cash up

  15. If you're searching transactions, it's time consuming to match against reports if they're gst exclusive. Could we have a button to toggle gst on or off in each report?

    Thanks for the interest in the idea here. As noted in my last update Contact Credit Limits might help some situations but we appreciate may not suit all needs. We don't have any direct change planned for this feature atm, but we'll continue to monitor the interest around this and share if there's any progress with you all, here. 

  19. THERE ARE SO MANY CHOICES. I need something specific and someone to help. A comparison tool of each app features (like some of the health industry sites have) or a specialist team to advise, particularly when you are recommending so many platforms.

    Thanks for the idea here, it's good to know how we can help businesses understand how best to navigate Xero when onboarding a business. 

    For the UK we now have a page on our website that helps you find a plan that's right for their business. Xero will provide a plan recommendation based on responses to a selection of questions. 

    Though only available in the UK atm, we are looking to extend this to other regions and I'll keep you updated on when this is available elsewhere, here. 

  20. Small emerging creatives in the performing arts fields, such as bands and musicians, currently are unable to afford accounting software such as Xero, and as a result, often struggle with managing their finances effectively. Especially given the devastating impact of COVID-19, I feel it would be incredibly useful to provide a Xero subscription discount to eligible small and micro businesses, such as the one currently offered to Football Clubs.
