  1. The highest Xero subscription allows you to make 10 bill payments through Crezco and then you pay a fee per bill. This is a pain, as I now have to approve each 24p fee.
    Please can I buy Crezco payments upfront?

    Hi everyone, we’ve seen some good chatter around buying Crezco bill payment fees in batches. For those handling a high volume of transactions, being able to buy fees in bulk would make this process quicker and smoother.

    At the moment, Xero doesn’t support batch purchases for bill payment fees, but this idea is now in Gaining Support.

    Hi Bethany, thanks for sharing this suggestion for improving our reports.

    We've reviewed your idea for an option to have Year-to-Date reports automatically generate columns for each month, which then total to the YTD figure. We can see how this dynamic layout would make monthly analysis much clearer and save time on report setup.

  4. Customise comparison dates

    When running a P&L or any other report with comparison data, it would be handy to be able to customise the date range of the comparison data. Some reports have an option of custom date range, but it's greyed out.

    We understand that customising comparison dates in the Profit & Loss report would give you more control over how you view and analyse business performance, especially when you're working with non-standard reporting periods.

    Currently in Xero, if you run the P&L for a custom date range (e.g. 1 Jan 2025 to 27 Jan 2025), you can compare that period with the previous:

    • Year – shows 1 Jan 2024 to 27 Jan 2024
    • Quarter – shows 1 Oct 2024 to 27 Oct 2024
    • Custom – automatically sets the comparison period to the same length (in this case, 27 days) immediately before your selected range, so it would show 5 Dec 2024 to 31 Dec 2024

  5. When entering a number of invoices for the same customer or vendor it would be great not having to reenter the name for each entry. Recommend the ability to "pin" a name for multiple entries under the same name.

    Thanks for sharing this idea about pinning the Contact when you enter multiple transactions for the same customer.

    NB. We need to keep ideas for the different areas of Xero separate. If you'd also like to see this feature when adding supplier bills, we'd need you to raise a separate Product Idea for it, so the community can also vote for that to support it.


  6. VAT summery report by catagory/box like the one in Sage which is a big help when you have resticted VAT on leasing, roundings, Import vat, VAT on legaland insurance claims etc so you can calculate what the full VAT is and agree the difference quickly without having to go through every single transaction

  7. Xero's Sales Tax Report doesn't recognize the great state of California's tax year: 7/1-6/30. Xero pull-downs only offer calendar-year options (1/1-12/31). So, we couldn't set up Sales Tax Report for largest state in the US. Please fix this. We can do it ad infinitum manually, but it seems that Xero could fix the problem. (Avalara could inform Xero if other US states also vary from a simple calendar Tax Year reporting.)

  8. For invoices received, allow settings to open the invoice for processing, especially for repeat bills. Invoices received from e.g. Municipalities uses the account number as pwd to open their invoice. Settings for this would be useful for automation of invoices received

    Hi team, we appreciate our customers that have been using our Global Pay Run feature, however we cannot extend use of Global Pay Run past 23 July 2025.

    To make sure you have access to your pay run data after the product is removed from Xero on 28 April 2026 we must have enough time to archive and store it.

  10. I'd like to be able to move expenses from one project to another without having to delete the expense under one project and manually enter it again into a different project number. It would be much easier and so much more efficient to be able to do the same as assigning a bill to a job number and if that job number turns out to be incorrect, it's simply a case of re-assigning the project number to it rather than having to delete and re-enter the whole thing again. Very frustrating and time consuming!

    Hi Gemma, while appreciate your idea and how you'd like to synchronize data between Saturation.io and Xero as we have an open API we generally don't build integrations with other applications ourselves.

    We have our Xero developer centre where interested parties can get information on integrating with Xero. Welcome to share this with Saturation.io to see if it's something they'd look to develop themselves.

    We've been generating individual e-invoice from Xero/Invoici for months, however, we could not find any report on e-invoice generated through Xero/Invoici.

    This report could help us in ensuring accuracy of the data exported to MyInvois portal. We would require a specific report on the generated individual e-invoices to make sure that they tally with the sales invoices report from Xero.

    When an employee is invited to XeroMe, it would be good to be able to see the status including:
    - sent to employee
    - employee revoewed
    - employee accepted
    - employee rejected

  14. Add the ability to send remittance advice from the mobile app.

    I find do most of my nightly accounting on the couch in my living room with this app - brilliant - but still have to go into the office just to do the remittance! Annoying.

    My business often delivers the same or similar services to repeat customers. It would be useful if Xero could default the contact address based on GPS Location, and then even propose default invoice items and pricing to make the invoicing process easier. This reduces the risk of invoicing mistakes and adds efficiency into the process for invoice creation. Also helps with contact payment process improvement.

    Hey Nathan, thanks for sharing this idea. Using GPS to automatically fill in a contact’s address would save you time and make invoicing on the go much smoother.

    It’s a smart way to reduce manual entry and help keep addresses accurate.

  16. Add tracking categories to the find and match function on the bank reconciliation screen. this would make matching payments to invoices easier for my clients as they have payments taken via DD per branch

  17. Quality of Life suggestion:

    At present, typing in a report name into the "Find a Report" search-box will only give you a return if you're in the correct tab (eg. searching from the 'Home' tab will not return any 'Custom' or 'Drafts' reports).

    I suggest that reports from other tabs be included, at least when searching from the 'Home' tab, with an icon/heading to distinguish the tab-origin of the report.

    (I appreciate 'Published' and 'Archived' returns could run into the hundreds, so perhaps a toggle/filter would suffice to omit/include those returns as desired)

    Hi Jonathan, thanks for this fantastic 'quality of life' suggestion. We really appreciate you taking the time to detail not just the idea, but also how it could work in practice.

    We've reviewed your proposal to enhance the "Find a Report" search box so it returns results from all tabs – like 'Custom' and 'Drafts' – not just the one you're currently viewing. We can see how this would make finding the right report much faster.

    Your idea is now open for other members of the community to support and add their thoughts to. Along with votes, others can now comment on how a global search for reports, perhaps with the filters you suggested, would improve their own day-to-day workflow.

  18. A number of users mistakenly post lines on their sales invoices to expense nominal codes, for example when recharging their mileage to a customer they credit this to Motor Vehicle Expenses instead of using their correct Sales account code.

    Most other accounts/bookkeeping packages prevent this by default by only allowing sales invoices to be posted to sales nominal codes. Xero however allows sales to go to virtually any nominal account of the user's choosing, leading to this error cropping up quite often.

    Could we have a way to restrict sales invoices only being posted to sales nominal account codes?

  19. Currently there is the only one option to export Batch Payment Summary report to PDF format.
    That report is coming with the vendors listed randomly without any order.
    Usually I forward that report to the owner along with 'aba' file for payment processing, and the report with vendors listed in alphabetical order will be very helpful.
    Exporting the report to Excel will solve the sorting problem.

  20. when searching for an invoice number in find and match while doing reconciliation, it would be useful not to have to hit enter every time, especially as i can only search one invoice at a time. it all adds up to excess clicks when doing large batch reconciliations
