  1. Insert a Notes section on the Bills You Need To Pay screen.
    For example, I can enter a due date, planned date etc .. but a section for Notes that can include a little reminder for example "confirm A123456 has been delivered"

  2. Its a small change but something that bugs me as i do it at least once, sometimes twice, a day.

    Currently the "trust this device" check box is below the login button. If logging in solely on a keyboard you have to enter 2fa code, tab twice and hit the space bar to check the trust this device box then shift tab to go back up to the login button. So the keystrokes are enter 2fa, tab, tab, space, shift tab, enter

    If the check box was between the password and login button then it would be, enter 2fa code,…

  3. This would be a really helpful time saver. When our clients make payments, sometimes one payment can be for 20 odd invoices. Rather than having to find each individual invoice to add the payment (which involves these steps: click on invoices awaiting payment > search for customer > click on last page > click on invoice > add payment > then repeat all steps 20 times); there are tick boxes next to the invoices, with the options to 'print', 'email', 'copy to'... could an option be added to the tick box, to 'add a payment'?     Hi Emily, it sounds like you could use batch deposit here. This is available from the Awaiting payments list like you noted and will allow you to to record multiple invoices as paid in a single transaction.

    It can be useful if you’re banking one deposit for multiple invoices, or when a customer makes a single payment for multiple invoices. 😊

    I am suggesting that within the Invoicing section of Xero, where a Search can be initiated, a checkbox is required that will "Include Description" - allowing customers to search for an invoice by the contents of the description field.

    I understand the performance impact on the overall system of putting this feature in the "Global Search" box, hence my suggestion to make it an "Optional" search via checkbox.

    Because the invoice reference field was reduced to 255 characters (https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/49018595-new-invoicing-remove-255-character-limit-for-ref), this would be the only way to be able to find…

  5. I think being able to connect a barcode scanner to xero to allow users to create a new invoice and scan items to have them appear as line items would be very beneficial to many customers. A lot of people use xero to resell items and if i could create a new invoice and instead of manually type everything, to just scan the UPC and have the item pop up would help prevent human errors

  6. For the Aged Receivables it would be helpful to know what customers owe us as well as what we owe them. We take deposits for future invoices and they don't show on the Aged REceivable Summary.

  7. The "View all transactions" link from a specific product/service should display the Inventory items details report just for that specific product/service. Currently it shows all products and just for the current month. So really isn't doing what is implied in the link.

    Thanks for the feedback, Steve I've passed along your compliments to our support team too.

    Out of interest is there anything in particular you'd like to be able to download your support conversations for? e.g would you be wanting to share these somewhere else or file them somewhere to have on hand? This'd be great to share back with our team.

    For the time being, as you might've found (though a little manual) - you can copy & paste the detail of a support case internal an external document such as Google Docs or MS Word.

  9. We are forwarding inbound invoice emails to the Xero processing address, but, many suppliers send multiple copies (up to 5 or 6) saying "Invoice", "Invoice due in x -7 days", "Invoice due today", "Invoice paid", each with the invoice.

    Going through the duplicates screen is time consuming.

    Please make this easier for bulk actions:

    1) a keep this and delete others (in a group)
    2) a delete all (in a group) - sometimes we get statements or similar sent and right now we can delete the duplicates but have to go back to the invoice list to delete the original.

  10. OLD vs NEW XERO INVOICING

    Customer Name search - this is when adding customer name on customer/contact field when creating a new invoice

    In the old version, the dropdown displays the full hospital name along with the contact email address. However, the new version only shows a truncated name (around 26-30 characters) without the email address. It would be better to retain the old version feature for this especially when there are multiple contacts but different departments, as it was easier to find out whether correct department was chosen and not to make additional right click just to be sure…

In the same way that there are tick boxes for "Exempt from PAYG withholding", "Exempt from SGC" & "Reportable as W1" on Pay Items, can we have a check box for Subject to or Exempt from PTX & Workers Compensation so that a report can be generated for Payroll Tax & Workers Compensation calculations.

It would be great if Xero Me would automatically blank out the approved leave, and public holiday hours, within an employee's timesheet (manually overwritable of course) so that they cannot (or are warned not to) double up their hours. e.g. they have annual leave approved, to have a Friday off, but they can also enter paid hours on their timesheet for that same Friday, thus enabling double pay for that day.

  13. Could we please add the 'Due Date' option to the Aged Receivables Summary Report. I love the simplicity of this report versus the Detailed report but unlike the detailed report, there is no option to add the due date.

    Thanks for the feedback, Jodi. When you say you'd like to add the Due date I'm guessing this would be as a column to the report? One thing that would make this tricky is where you have multiple due dates for a customer with multiple invoices in the period the reports being run - what date would you expect to show here?

  14. Just brought on a new client on Xero that runs large number of projects. At the moment, Xero does not provide a facility whereby we can bring forward opening blalances for ongoing projects.

  15. Report to see when a customer account was opened/set up. When conducting customer credit account reviews it would be handy if there was a report to see what date a customer account was set up. So you are only reviews accounts that have been opened for a year. At the moment the only way to see when an account was set up is to look at the notes/history on each individual account.

    Hi Eilish, is there are particular way your staff are recording how they bill customers through your Xero organisation atm? - e.g are you using Projects, or Tracking?

    As you noted there maybe a report that we an suggest that'll fully serve your needs in this here.

  18. The new Grow subscription only allowing for one employee is really tough for accountants operating in the micro-business space, as many of the small businesses that I have been working to get onto Xero are either married couples or two business partners who need exactly two payroll employees, with no intention to grow beyond that number.

    Having to jump from Grow to Comprehensive just to add a payroll user is prohibitive for a lot of my clients, and knowing that this is the case is stopping me from recommending Xero as a product where it would have been a no-brainer…

  20. Is there a way to edit the email template when invoicing to add a standard email address in the BCC field? by doing this Trustpilot gets the email details to send out reviews?? i cant find an option for this feature

    Hi Andrew, there's no way to set a default BCC email when sending from Xero atm. It may be something we look at in the future. For now, we'll begin to get a sense of the interest for this here. Thanks
