    Hi Lukasz, what payment provider do you use? Just incase you haven't seen we've launched Tap to Pay powered by Stripe which is now available in a few different regions.

    In terms of connecting to direct payment terminals, this would typically be through an integration. We don't generally develop integrations with applications ourselves however you may want to see if there's an integration in the app marketplace that works with your provider and could offer the services you're after here.

  2. When creating an invoice from a project-keep items in the same order as they appear in the project. It is very confusing when all the items are in different places than they were in the project and I have to reorder everything.

  3. At the moment Xero doesn't auto calculate the depreciation rate from the effective life. This means when we run the depreciation report the rate column shows up as blank if we've entered the effective life into the asset register rather than the rate. We should be able to enter the effective life and Xero auto calculates the depreciation rate for the depreciation report.

    Thanks for sharing your needs for Fixed Assets, here. While we appreciate it could be confusing to see a blank percentage in the rate column, we want to upfront that this isn't something we have plans of implementing in the near term.

    As you may already be across if this is something you do need to track, the best option right now would be to export the Depreciation Schedule report and make adjustments as required outside of Xero in Excel or Google sheets. I know this isn't the ideal solution and if any change is planned we'll let you know here.

  4. In the bank account settings, add an optional data field to enter in the Overdraft limit on a bank account. Then on the dashboard screen, show the net available balance of current bank balance + the undrawn Overdraft limit.

    Purpose - to save the user from having to manually calculate how much is available to make supplier/payroll payments or login to internet banking prior to check.

    Should also be a simple feature to add.

    Hi Bijanca, while we appreciate your idea here connected apps build and design their integrations with Xero themselves so they're best to approach to request changes or expansion to their integrations with Xero.

  6. I would like to submit a feature request for the Statement of Account (SOA) report. Currently, the SOA allows for downloading the entire account summary for a contact, but it lacks the ability to filter and download specific invoices based on types or any other granular filtering or customization.

    For example, in my organization, clients sometimes use multiple revenue streams. Invoices are categorized by these revenue streams. There are instances where my clients only need the SOA for one particular revenue stream.

  7. I wonder if it is possible to implement the following simple change to Hubdoc. Currently, when an invoice is downloaded from Hubdoc, the file name is complied as <supplier name><date><amount>. It would be much better to replace <amount> with an invoice number. It often happens the payment batches are being sent to authorisers outside Xero, so an ability to provide a list of sorted files would be great. It also makes an invoice search outside Xero much easier.

Many of my clients are partnerships and trade using the partners initials e.g. J & J Doe but on their reports it displays as %26 and on emails that they are sending with sales invoices, it displays as "& amp;" meaning that when I save reports or they send their invoices, this has to be changed. Having worked in a software house previously, I know that this is a programming issue and one that should have a relatively simple fix so can you please look at this.

  9. If we cannot put a warning against the bad payers, surely it cannot be that hard to be able to change the customers business names into another color (Red) So when you search or create a new invoice, alarm bells will ring and hopefully avoid more loss

    Hi Todd, have you seen credit limits? These will allow you to set a limit to how much spending a customer can make with your business. When they reach that limit you can also choose whether to restrict invoicing for that customer. This may help with the scenario you're noting here.

  10. Where there is more than one bank account in an organization, it would be very useful to be able to filter out a particular Cat Code, separately , within each bank account. Currently one gets the entire Cat Code for the entire organization, showing all the bank accounts. Also, the column "Tax" remains blank when a bank account's reconciliations for the date selected are chosen. Please see my uploaded example of just one bank account's reconciliations, which contains every transaction, but no tax shown.   11. When you try to add a new bank account to a contact, Xero only accepts numbers and hyphens in the field. Spaces are not accepted.

    All invoices issued by Xero have the issuer's bank account on the invoice formatted with separating spaces between the number blocks.

    So when entering a new contact, I can't just copy-paste the bank account number from the invoice that was created by Xero because the format of such number doesn't comply with the formatting in Xero contact section. Every time it has to be manually edited by all the thousands of Xero users.

It would be helpful if you could see if an attachment was uploaded - you could consider showing an Icon outside the RHS of each line., as something Every GST checker needs to do, is make sure they have the appropriate attached Invoice so they can claim the GST. In Xero, it is laborious to have to open each line and check if their is an attachment.

  14. When reconciling a bank account, it would be extremely useful to see WHERE a transaction is coming from (Bank Feed vs Imported Statement). Especially when deleting duplicate transactions, it'd be nice to know which is which as we prefer to not delete bank feeds when possible.

    Hi Parris, many of our applications have designed and built their integration with Xero themselves. They are best placed to engage with on any changes you feel could enhance your experience when integrating data from their application to Xero.

  16. Once you close a period, pulled all the accounts and happy with the financial position, you close the period to stop posting to that period. But when you receive a old supplier invoice, which has been accrued in, Xero does not allow you to post the invoice without re-opening the period date. This means, you either reverse your accrual journal to post the older invoice, changing the financial position or manully altering the invoice date, to post it into current period.   17. It would be great to be able to limit the accounts that show based on whether they have a value that is not 0. This would be useful for PAYG Payable, Superannuation Payable, Suspense accounts etc.

    Instead of a long list of accounts with 0 balances, it would allow the user to only see the account that have a value.

It would be good to have a bank feed to account transactions matching report which could show which bank feed entries have been reconciled to which account transactions without having to click into each entry. Something like the attached would be good to enable someone to spot mismatched bank entries
