  1. Xero Projects - have the ability to add a Customer Sales Order to the Project, and this defaults on the Invoice Reference field when we invoice the project at the end of each month.

  3. Realised currency gains and losses to be allocated to the same split of team codes and activity codes allocated to the original transaction.

    At the moment, any transaction which originally contained more than one team code and/or activity code which has realised foreign currency gains/losses has the gains/losses posted with 'multiple categories' for team code and activity code. This can cause issues for internal management reporting where there is a need to then manually assess each element of the gain/loss to see which team or activity it relates to.   4. This is minor but annoying. I am working my way through a list of draft assets and when you register each asset Xero reverts to the registered list rather than returning to the draft list. This gets very tedious when you have a lot of draft assets!

    Conversely when you are disposing of assets it reverts to the disposed assets list when it would be more efficient to revert to the registered assets list so I can dispose of the next asset.

    Appreciate the feedback on the little things that would improve your experience when working with Fixed Assets. I've shared this back with our product team. We don't have any immediate plans but we'll track the interest and share if there's any change planned.

  5. Bank Reconciliation - Having a Reconciled By column.
    It would be very helpful to have a column in the bank account transactions screen that shows who reconciled the transaction. I have a client who thinks they are helping by reconciling their own transactions only to get most of them wrong. If there was a column showing the reconciler then I would very quickly be able to ascertain the transactions i need to review by running a history and notes report for that period.

  10. When running the GST Transactions Report, each and every line from each invoice is reported separately, creating a ridiculously large report.
    Perhaps there could be one single line per invoice, reporting the total GST for that invoice? Like it used to be?

  11. Xero has removed the ability for casual employees to apply for annual leave if that leave is available to them. Annual leave is part of my casual employees employment contracts. The employees and I have agreed that they will receive annual leave and sick leave.

    These leave types were catered for in the past and the employees were able to apply for them when required. Now, despite still accruing those leave types, they are unable to apply for them.

  12. Xero made a lot of noise about how good the 'new invoicing' feature would be. Users gave plenty of feedback early on when new invoicing was optional, both in comments and by not switching over to new invoicing. Xero proceeded with the change seemingly unaware of the negative mood amongst users to the new invoicing feature.

    The product ideas section show, only in it's first 5 pages, 43 product ideas about new invoicing. Many of these product ideas are requests for previously available features to be made available again. Many of the ideas are under consideration or being worked on.

    Appreciate your feedback, Martin. I can assure you throughout the build of new invoicing we have engaged and tested out features with many different users. To keep customers informed throughout we have shared blog posts and regularly update our Xero Central page with what's been delivered and what's to come.

    Being such a widely used feature, we have focused on features that suit majority of our customers needs. We appreciate some customers still want to see more development and we are continuing to enhance this new invoicing experience.

  13. When you open the calendar to input a date (e.g., expense claims), the calendar box changes shape/moves around when you click the arrow to go back over previous months because the number of days in each month varies. The calendar shouldn't move around because you must keep repositioning the cursor to find the arrow again.

    As someone mentioned in another comment, allow the ability to use the mouse scroll to go back and forth.

  14. Ability to be able to add multiple line items to expense claim bill, like a normal bill, when expense claims are submitted through Xero Me. When a singular cost is associated with multiple jobs, being able to add a second or third line etc to divide this cost within the bill and assign to project accordingly would be far better than having to upload the same expense claim multiple times with different portions of costs allocated.

We have a client that has subscriptions that are paid monthly via card with a "debit order", can you create different payables folders and link it to each bank account so that normal operating expenses that are paid weekly can match with the business' current account and have a separate folder in payables that has all the subscription invoices to match in the bank recon screen

    Hi Marinus, thanks for the detail of your needs here. While there's no particular feature for this right now, one option could be to use a consistent prefix that you add to the reference field of these type of bills.

    When reconciling the payment in your bank account, you'd use Find & Match and could enter the prefix in the Search field to look up al the related bills for that period.

  16. This will allow a more accurate look on the stocks pre-ordered as well as incoming stocks. Instead of having to click each item to see it.

    Even in the reports, it's great to see it so we can just generate a quick report about it.

  18. AU - Compulsory Employee Super When a Employee Superfund changes ABN, USI number, merges with another fund.

    The only solution at moment is to export the employee data into a file and save it. Then deactivate the Superfund. The problem is if you have a query on these past transactions you cannot do it through Xero. If you a subjected to an audit you cannot generate report for the data prior to the date of the changes made to the super fund. If you have been through an audit this creates a lot of work.   19. In the dcoding screen, if there's already a code selected then the user has to manually empty the existing code to be able to type another. This is just clunky - when the dropdown is enabled it should either clear the field or allow the user to start typing a new code.

  20. We create multiple invoices with deferred income. Currently I can approve the sales invoice then under "Invoice Options" copy to a new invoice and all the data is pulled over. I can then adjust the nominal ledger to the balance sheet and approve that, then again from the "Invoice Options" I can add a credit note to the P&L. I can then copy again to create a new sales invoice for the date when the income is due to the P&L and create that and once again add a credit note to credit the balance sheet. I realise this might…

    Thanks for sharing your feedback and the detail on how you use invoicing here. Just to make sure I understand fully and can share back with the team - when you say you want to retain all the data. It is currently possible to copy an invoice to a new draft invoice for the same contact, however is it that you are wanting the contacts defaults to be applied to the new invoice?
