  1. Contact Cash Activity Report that shows all contacts and can show both individual transactions or a summary (total).

  2. It is concerning that Bank Accounts can be added or deleted by users with "Standard User Access or even "Advisor" in some cases.

    Considering the whole Xero Accounting system revolves around Bank Feeds, the ability to add a bank account, activate Bank Feeds or even delete a bank account should only be a function available to the Software Subscriber.

  4. Please please please Xero can you work on a proper Square bank feed integration so we don't have to keep using Amaka or other 3rd party connection apps!!!
    Why can't we connect Square as a bank account with a feed similar to Stripe?!?! We are in 2024, square has been around for 15years!!

    I have so many issues with Square! And it is one of the most widely used payment processors!

  5. Permanent inventory item on a specific invoice template

    For example, we are an automotive repair shop
    If I was to have a specific invoice template for 'vehicle servicing' and would like every service invoice to come up with Sundries and Freight automatically

    This would be a great way to save time as well as making sure everything is being charged out correctly

    Hi Paul, while not a perfect solution, currently you could create and repurpose a  Draft invoice for a dummy contact. When you want to create an invoice with this item you'd use the 'Copy to draft invoice' option. 

    We don't have plans for developing anything that'd accomplish what you're currently asking here. We'll monitor the interest and share if there's any change. 

  6. Most often when I extract XERO finance reports I have to strip out all of the headings and totals in order to get to the raw transaction data for further pivot analysis and data refinement. Having a raw data dump (i.e., excel or csv format) as an option to the formatted files would save considerable time for users doing pivot analysis, multi period or year comparisons, adding calculations and additional columns, preparing charts, and just trying to summarize the data in a different way.

  7. There are three types of bank rules (receive, spend, transfer) and there is no absolute order. So, if there is a conflict between one that is # 1 in transfer and # 100 in spend, the spend one wins.
    Do you see what I mean?
    There is currently no way around this? It would be good to have an absolute rule order covering all three types of rules.

  8. This is a glitch in the new reporting update from last year and I am surprised it has not been addressed yet. I run a monthly report on invoices paid from the prior month to determine commissions. I would use an Account Transaction Report for invoice totals.
    The current reports offer you to choose the invoice number as an option, but invoice number does not show up on the report - reference number does- but if the invoice number is not in the reference field all that shows up is 'ach'

  12. Please could you add a Title field into the customers name - my invoices show with just the surname on which is very unprofessional.
    ie. Mr Smith on the invoice would look much nicer than just Smith !!! This must be a basic thing to do.?? Please consider this as urgent.

  13. Please implement a feature allowing users to add billable expenses assigned to Projects directly to an existing draft invoice.

    Currently, users can only add billable expenses directly to a draft invoice if the expense is assigned to a Customer. When expenses are assigned to a Project, they can only be invoiced through Projects. This causes issues when an expense assigned to a Project is has been missed, and needs to be added to the draft invoice. The current workaround requires deleting the draft invoice and starting the invoicing process again, which is time-consuming and inefficient.

    Appreciate the feedback on the use you found with the previous worksheet. 

    With the newer BAS while there is no GST calculation worksheet, you can run a Custom Date report to get YTD figures, which can be accessed through the Activity Statement dashboard.

    Being open we don't have plans of adding the worksheet to the new BAS report at this stage, however we'll continue to get a sense of interest on this here and share if there's any change.  

  16. My Bank rules were deleted by someone. Xero doesn't have a restore function or the ability to see who deleted these.
    We need this for compliance purposes and the safety of our data purposes.

  17. When editing an Invoice or a Bill Containing Products, The form have the Very bad feature of automatically resetting the Qty to 1... causing all kind of error.

    Sometimes we have to update an Invoice, a purchase order or a bill to reflect business changes. When you do that, the form automatically resets the QTY to 1 and the Reset the discount to Customer default and does not show you it was done. So mistakes are being made...
    If you feel the need to do so, at minima, the page should highlights the modified numbers to give us a chance…

  18. I sometimes(Often) do not understand Xero's Developers Logic...

    Purchase Order - Instructions Field. Can someone explain me why, If I change the "Delivery Address", the form automatically clears the Instruction field we just typed?

    I first assumed that it was because I can attach specific instructions for a Delivery address... But I search high and low and I could not find such feature.

    Xero, Please BE CONSISTENT.

    • If there is nothing to fill that Field, Do not erase it just to irritate us.

    • Better: Add an Instruction field to Contact delivery address. And fill the Purchase order Instruction Field automatically.…

  19. The print date that now appears at the bottom of reports is useful for some reports and circumstances, and I understand this date is now turned off for Published Reports.

    However we do not 'publish' our financial statements - we send our financial statements to clients in a practical and informative pack instead. This is a more efficient, professional and streamlined approach for us.

    It's good to know the small changes that can make a difference to our customers. Thank you for all sharing with us on the idea, here. Our team are looking into a solution at the organisation level, that'd enable you to remove the Date from footer for all reports exported to PDF. While they explore this we'll move the idea to Under review and I'll be back to share more as this moves along.

  20. It would be really useful to have a way of typing the date without having to use a / in between the numbers, like you could on classic invoicing

    e.g. 20012024 used to convert automatically to 20th January 2024 on classic invoicing

    Thanks for your interest in this idea, everyone. We understand there are different ways our customers find useful when entering dates for invoices in Xero.

    Based on feedback our team are looking at improvements to the date pickers in new invoicing. While I can't confirm exactly what these will entail atm, we'll shift the idea to working on it and I'll be back to confirm when we have more of the detail.
