  1. The new invoicing alerts you to a credit on a customer's account if you APPROVE an invoice but if you APPROVE AND ADD ANOTHER invoice it simply moves right on and does not mention the credit. Please could the apply credit option be available regardless of the way you finalise your invoice.

  2. AUSTRALIA PAYROLL - Can we PLEASE have a separate Lock Date for Payroll. I have had many incidents where I have prepared an Activity Statement ( PAYG), and the client reverts a pay run to draft, makes a change AFTER THE ENDOF MONTH AND IAS CREATION, and then we have to re-calculate and re-submit IAS for signature.

    The lock date is unable to be added as the ACCOUNTS are still being reconciled, but the payroll is complete.

    This will also be extremely helpful at EOFY.

  4. Change Expense Claimant in Expense Claims.
    I have a delegate who adds most all of my expenses using XeroMe.

    They are not an employee rather a bookeeper at the accountant. At present using XeroMe all expeneses are created in their name and in Xero, it states them as an Employee and after saving or submitting you cannot change whom it is for.

    In Xero on a laptop, you can change who a claim is for, why is this greyed out in XeroMe?
    It should be the same.

  5. Include the Share Invoice and click to open the invoice electronically so a credit card payment can be quickly processed. In the classic invoice you are able to do this. The new invoice format doesn't have the same option.

    Appreciate the screenshot and detail you've shared, Cyndi. Can see what you're saying by extra steps involved. I'll share this back with the team. While it's not something we have direct plans around atm, we'll let you know here if there's any plans made. 

  6. We recently converted from Quickbooks Desktop and are trying to reproduce a "Sales by Customer" Report that sorts descending by gross invoice amount but groups the contacts within the contact group together. In Xero, I cannot figure out a way to accomplish this.

  7. We recently converted from Quickbooks Desktop and are trying to reproduce a "Sales by Customer" Report that is sorted by gross invoice amount. In Xero, I can click on the column header to accomplish this, but when I save the draft report or export to PDF, the sort order is not maintained. I would like the ability to change the report format to maintain the sort order after saving.

    Thanks for confirming, Paul and apologies it's taken a little time to round back to your message. We have another idea that you may like to join for filtering the report by contact group.

    With the request around bad debts - is there a particular way you are handling these in Xero atm?

    Potentially adding Payments/Credits column to the report will help with this? This way when you run the report you could then re-order by the Payments/Credits column to view those that have paid the most > least.

This is very similar to https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/46454503-reporting-ability-to-save-to-same-draft-file, except that we need this same functionality for reports that have been saved as custom reports. I'm tired of having new copies made of an income statement whenever I add an account and need to change where it is grouped. This should be a simple edit & save. While Save As is needed, it should not be the default and only option.

  9. I would like to be able to see Check numbers in the list of invoices owed. that way when I view a client and their activity ... the invoice shows paid ... I would be able to see the check number they paid with. The reason is sometimes a client sends a check and does not indicate what invoice to apply it to. I normally apply it to the oldest invoice or the month they sent the payment. When they say I paid Feb with chk number 1234, I can look and see what invoice I applied it too and…

  11. It would be great to be able to group certain lines of an invoice together (for example by adding some spacing between groups), to make long invoices more readable and logically coherent.

    It used to be possible to add spacing on the Classic invoicing page by pressing Enter a few times on the description field, but this no longer works on the New invoicing.

    Hi team, thank you for all your feedback. We're in the process of developing the edit view of the line item grid within new invoicing and will be incorporating the ability to manually add a row and the ability to move blank rows within the invoice. Once released blank lines will be able to be saved within the invoice so you can separate lines or groups of lines as you need. I'll keep you updated on when this goes live.

  12. Now that you cant attached docuemnts from files to a contact like you used to I have to download them from the files screen, but before I can download them, I have to click on them to preview first. I have to do this for 4 documents right now.
    I would love to see the below made available in the files screen:
    1. Have download available in the three dot drop down.
    2. Have the three dot drop down options available in the preview screen

    Hi Fiona, hoping you may have seen my recent update that we have now developed the ability to upload files to a contact record from the file library.

  14. Projects - Ability to copy time entries using web platform

    Currently you can copy a time entry using the Projects app but this function does not seem to be availible using the web based software. This could be added to the hamburger menu where at present the only options are edit or delete.

  15. When exporting the profit and loss transactions it would be amazing for one of the columns to show the Contact in isolation rather than merging the contact and description into one field. This would allow much easier spreadsheet analysis by contact.

  16. When merging customers xero currently completes the merge and then displays the profile that has been moved which typically (for me) contains no customer data. Is it possible to instead display the profile that the customer has been merged to which shows all the existing customer data. Usually I am completing a merge and then having to go in and search for the customer name again.

  18. It is concerning that Bank Accounts can be added or deleted by users with "Standard User Access or even "Advisor" in some cases.

    Considering the whole Xero Accounting system revolves around Bank Feeds, the ability to add a bank account, activate Bank Feeds or even delete a bank account should only be a function available to the Software Subscriber.

  20. Please please please Xero can you work on a proper Square bank feed integration so we don't have to keep using Amaka or other 3rd party connection apps!!!
    Why can't we connect Square as a bank account with a feed similar to Stripe?!?! We are in 2024, square has been around for 15years!!

    I have so many issues with Square! And it is one of the most widely used payment processors!
