  2. Add a function to allocate transactions in an account against each other so you can easily identify which transactions are making up the balance (e.g. in a PAYE you would allocate the payment to HMRC against the payroll journal).

  3. My small business client came up the idea that when we download the aba file for our payroll, it would be great to have the option to pay total PAYGW & super liabilities into a nominated bank account.
    This sets aside the money ready for the BAS'es, IAS'es and super.

  4. Hi team

    We need Xero to be able to calculate tax correctly on part year returns for clients in Xero tax. Even though the date fields are available in your returns to show a part year, the tax is still calculated for a full year so the assessment from IRD differs from the return prepared in XPM.

    Currently the only option is to file via myIR which is really not good enough.

    Hi team, we appreciate the interest in being able to manage part year returns through Xero Tax for NZ. This isn't something we have in our plans at present.

    I can assure you our team are aware of the interest on this idea and if there's any progress we'll let you know through the idea here.

  5. I am trying to add a list of inventory items to a project quickly, to estimate cost, is there an easy way to upload an excel sheet with all the inventory items & quantities?

    I need to add multiple items like over 60 each with their own quantity... Can I upload a list? Instead of individual listing?

One of the most irritating features when using the Aged Receivables Detail report for Credit Control purposes (downloading to Excel and pasting into an email) is that when selecting the Date Range under Aging periods and the Invoice Date under Aging By, it continuously defaults back to the first option.

    Kindly allow the setting of a default to prevent the system from continuously defaulting back to the system setting.

  8. It would be good if there was a warning if an adviser user inadvertently enters a date in a prior accounting period which has been locked. For example year end is 31 Dec 2022 and a current year bill is entered as 17/11/22 instead of 17/11/23

  9. Currently a Xero customer can chose to include or exclude late claims in a GST Return. What most Xero customers don’t appreciate is if they chose no then the late claim adjustment vanishes until their accountant prepares the year end reports. This can leave a client vulnerable and oblivious to significant errors over the course of a year. In my opinion at the vary least if a client says no then the late claims should be progressed to the next GST period. A phase two development could be providing the option of what adjustments can be included and what should…

  10. A 'select all' feature to approve all unapproved timesheets would be great.
    8 plus years now of having to tick in a tiny box for all my casual/part-time staff is getting a little tedious, especially when a slight error opens the timesheet up and you have to then back out of the page to start all over again.
    It shouldn't be too hard from a coding point of view should it?

I use the History/Notes section to keep track when I'm doing credit control- when I've chased the customer etc, and I now have to copy and paste the email I've sent to them-however, I will often need to send a long communication email which ends up being more than 2500 characters, which means I then have to copy and paste half the email and then the other half, so that they run together-it would be a lot easier if the notes section was able to take more than 2500 characters.

  14. you should be able to confirm your account with a secondary email. I got locked out of my primary email, and Xero thought my normal log in was suspicious. I had not way to confirm my account. I have a secondary email. What is the point of the secondary email if there is no way to use it to confirm my account? Or use my phone for a text confirmation.

  15. On our batch payment printout auditors want someone to sign them off and say they've randomly verified bank accounts. Is there any way to customise the batch payment printout to include:
    1. Random bank accounts verified (with tick box)
    2. Signature area
    3. Name of Person Signing off

  17. Currently the PPL pay item can only be allocated to an expense account.

    This is not in line with the Australian Accounting Standard.

    Can Xero update the ability to allocate to a liability account, please?

  18. Stop autho filling T8 and T9 fields on BAS statements in Xero blue as this creates errors when importing to Xero tax.

    These fields need to be left blank by default. It wastes our time to have to delete the info

  20. Would be really useful to have the ability to add Spend or Receive money transactions (overpayments or prepayments) within the mobile app. At p[resent the only options are bank fees or adjustments. So quite often reconciling transactions requiring this type of action need to be left until able to access a full web browser version.
