Supplier Invoices - draft preview
I am not liking downloading an invoice in suppliers invoices/drafts to view the invoice to coorect the draft to then approve. It's more steps, more time and adds another copy of the invoice in download form to my laptop storage. It feels like step backwards. Can we please go back to having a preivew in the drafts screen as that is where the preview was used most.
1 voteHi Lexi, you can preview a Draft bill as well as view a side by side preview of attached files to the Draft bill from the quick view option on the Bills list.
If you click the eye icon to the left of the Bill in the list view this will open the Bill so you can view it's contents. From here you can click the 'Files' button to View any attached documents.

Bulk edit invoice add Online Payment
We have invoices sync over from our PSA/CRM system. As we provide managed services, once a month we submit invoices that need to be collected on direct debit. Currently we have to go in to each invoice, got to edit, select add Online Payment, select direct debit, then save and update invoice. Not only is this a waste of time, but also a risk we will miss some.
We are not able to set particular customer to Direct Debit payments as any project work or new devices are invoiced non-direct debit.
Please would you add the ability to bulk update…
1 voteHi Andrew, have you considered setting up an invoice template with the payment service you'd like to offer for these type of invoices? While you can do this on an invoice by invoice basis, it's also possible to set up an invoice template with this applied.
If you only want this for certain contacts you could also update their contact record so that branding is automatically selected when you create invoices for the contact. See our Xero Central article here 🙂

New Invoicing | Price History
Dear Xero Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
I would like to request a feature enhancement within the invoicing function in Xero. As a business that offers custom pricing to different customers, I often sell the same product at varying prices depending on the customer relationship, volume, or promotional discounts.
Currently, when creating a new invoice in Xero, I am unable to view the previous selling price I offered to a specific customer for a particular product. This makes it difficult to maintain consistency and analyze pricing strategies.
Feature Request:
It would be extremely helpful if Xero…1 voteThanks for coming to us with this Idea Dexter, I am happy to say this is already possible within Xero . While not specifically set out as you have described, the option to 'Add contacts last items' will populate the invoice with the last items so you can see the price that was charged etc the last time you invoiced the customer.
If you'd like to try this out before taking action in your own org, you can use the demo company to test it. 🙂

Bank reconciliation - account allocation
When a contact is selected in the bank reconciliation it would be very helpful if the account and tax rate could be pre-filled from the details in the contact record. Example - I have setup Caltex as a contact with the default account as MV - Fuel & Oil and default tax code of GST on Expenses. When I select Caltex in the bank reconciliation as the Who the account MV - Fuel & Oil is prefilled to the What and GST on Expenses is pre-filled in the Tax rate. This is similar to how the account and tax rate…
2 votesHi Sharon, you can already do this in Xero!
The most effective existing tool is Bank Rules. You can set up rules that autoamtically idenitfy specific bank statement details, and allocate them to a predetermined Contact, Account, and Tax rate. Once set up, Xero suggests the correct coding, requiring only a click of "OK" to reconcile.
Xero also uses memorisation feature that remembers how the last transaction for a specific contact was coded, auto-filling the details for subsequent transactions.
We have a bit of help around this in Xero Central about bank rules and reconciling your bank account but if you need an extra hand you can raise a case with our Xero Support specialists. 😊

Jax - Invoice Due Date
JAX currently does not pull the customers due date from the customers file. Because that feature isn't live yet, JAX doesn't help our organization to be able to use JAX to create invoices. I wanted to bring it to your attention in the hopes your product team is working on it. You may already be working on it, I just didn't see it listed anywhere.
Our customers have different invoice due dates depending on how their account is setup. Because of this, we would have to look up each due date for the customer and manually change it. It would…
1 voteHi Brandy! Did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero via JAX?
To get JAX to automatically use your contacts’ default due dates, simply prompt it once to apply the default dates set in each contact’s profile.
From then on, JAX will create draft invoices that use those contacts’ specific due dates.
If you’d like an extra hand setting this up, you can raise a case with our Xero Support specialists 😊

AU Contacts
At present, contact details (name, phone, email, bank account information, etc.) can only be viewed or updated by searching and opening each contact individually. This is very time-consuming when managing multiple suppliers and clients.
It would be extremely helpful to have a report or consolidated contact list view that displays all relevant contact information in one place — including name, phone, email, bank account details, and other key fields. Ideally, this report would also allow for:
Bulk viewing of contact information without needing to open each contact separately.
Inline editing or the ability to update fields directly from the list/report…
1 voteHi Anna Maria, while not directly within Xero you can bulk update contacts via an export and import. Just follow the steps in our Xero Central article here. 😊

Spreadsheet-style navigation in bills & invoices
Data entry would be much faster if Xero worked like a spreadsheet:
• Enter = down to next row • Tab = across columnsMost users are already used to this behaviour from Excel/Sheets, so it feels natural. It would save time and reduce errors when entering bills and invoices.
3 votesHi Donough, you can already press Tab key in Xero to move across columns. We do have additional shortcuts as well. You can refer to the Xero Central article Tips and shortcuts for more information, but if you need an extra hand you can raise a case with our Xero Support specialists. 😊

AU Payroll - Allow Salary Sacrifice item to be coded to superannuation
Ability to set a specific account for Salary Sacrifice amounts to go into instead of a default gross wages account.
1 voteHi Gemma! It sounds like you would like to code your employees salary sacrifice superannuation amounts to a different account code. Did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero?
To specify a different account code for an employees superannuation line/s, you can click into their superannuation in the pay template and specify which account to use.

delayed sending of invoices
Provide a feature to allow delayed emails sending of invoices. such that they can be prepared at any stage and set to send at a later date/time without the need to login and send on that day.
3 votesHi Thomas, did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero?
To send an invoice on a later date, you can set up a repeating invoice in Xero. If it only needs to be sent once, follow these steps:
> Create a new repeating invoice.
> Set the invoice date to the date you want it sent (for example, 20 October 2025) and choose a due date (for example, +7 days (27 October 2025)).
> Under End date, select the day right after the invoice date, in this case, 21 October 2025.
> Enter your invoice details as usual.
> Select Approve for sending.
On 20 October 2025, Xero will automatically create the invoice and email it to your customer.

Chart of Accounts - Suggestion for audit trail
Add audit trail for changes to the Chart of Accounts: addition, deletion, editing, archiving...
2 votesHi Christine, did you know this is already possible in Xero? You can view the audit trail by going to Accounting > History and Notes. This provides a record of certain changes made in the Chart of Accounts; including, but not limited to, updates to account type, name, tax settings, and status.

More invoice options
Choice to not show the vat added as a figure. But treat the invoice as including VAT.
I work with local councils who don't want to see the vat figure, just the total per day for my day centre. But I want to say includes VAT, and deal with it with Xero properly.1 voteHi! Did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero?
To customise how an invoice appears, you can set up a custom docx. invoice template in Xero which can hide the total VAT figure from your invoices. If you need an extra hand you can raise a case with our Xero Support specialists. 😊

Xero Accounting app - Display Year-to-Date (YTD) Profit & Loss on the App Dashboard
on the APP dashboard shows ploss for month. $
need to add ploss ytd $1 voteHi Ronal! Did you know it's already possible to do this in the Xero Accounting App?
To change the display to Year-to-Date, you can click on the "Profit and loss" widget on the Xero Accounting App. This will open more information, and at the top of the figures, you'll see an option to select a period of your choice, which includes Month to Date, Quarter to Date, or Year to Date.

NZ Payroll - Add columns to Employee Remuneration report
Employee Remuneration report does not populate Start Date / Group / or hourly rate
1 voteHi Sonja. You can already do this in Xero Payroll! The Employee Remuneration report should populate the employees Start Date, Group and Hourly Rate, but if you find it doesn't, raise a case with our Xero Support specialists. If you give them some details about when it's not populating and access to your organisation, they would be happy to take a look. 😊

Tracking Summary Report - bring back the ability to run this report by specific account code
In the new Tracking Summary Report (from 11 Nov 2025 the old report is no longer available) had removed the ability to run the report by specific account codes. Please bring this feature back as we use it to identify and track costs in the specific account codes. This also enable us to identify and correct any transactions that are missing a tracking code in each specific account code. We do not use this report by account type which is the only option in the new report.
1 voteHi Cecilia, thanks for sending in your feedback about the new Tracking Summary Report!
Just to clarify, you can run the report for specific account types like Assets, Liabilities, Sales, and so on—similar to the Account Groups options in the old report.
We’ve updated the idea status to Existing Functionality since the new Tracking Summary report works the same way as the old one, just with a few terms changed here and there.
If we have misunderstood you, please get back in touch.

Navigation - Increment the date by using the “+” button.
Incrementing the date by using the “+” or “-“ buttons.
1 voteHi Harchand, returning to your idea here, as noted in my last response - right now within say an invoice or bill you can increment the date using the + and - symbols as well as the number of days you're wanting to increment so for example today is the 22 Sept if you wanted to increment the date by 1 you'd enter '+1' in the date field and tab to the next and this'd automatically enter the date as 23rd Sept.
There are a # of keyboard shortcuts you can use rather than the calendar picker. 😊

Reporting - Run customer/supplier activity report for a range of customers.
Add the feature to run customer/supplier activity report for a range of customers.
Xero team quote "this is already possible however it exists within a different report. You can run either the Receivable or Payable Invoice Detail or Summary reports, where you'll be able to filter and select the contacts you'd like to run the report for."
But it is not we required. Receivable only show outstanding receivable , not all transaction during the selected period for that customer.
We would like to have some sort like customer movement report with selected filter of a range of customer.
1 voteReturning to the post here we will shift this to Existing functionality. While not always in the base form you're after many of Xero's reports are very flexible and can be set up and saved as custom to access your reporting needs.
In this scenario the Receivable Invoice Details report, could b be Grouped by Contact, and the Date Search selected to run by Due date. Adding a filter for Status to only show invoices that are Approved or Sent, and excluding those that are Paid.
Alternatively, the Aged Receivable Details report will offer similar information on only the invoices that are outstanding at the date the report is run.

Bank Reconciliation - Accounting for separate 'pots' within one bank account
I am "one man band company" and use Mettle Bank in the UK. It offers the the facility to put money into "pots" so that I can save for things such as Corporation Tax, VAT payments etc. This is basically a bank account within a bank account and one which I find very useful. The downside is that there is no obvious means to keep track of what is in each pot within Xero and complicated by the fact Mettle does not stream the total in each pot via the connection only the total amount with the bank account itself.…
1 voteHey Neil
We've reviewed this suggestion, and as Kelly mentioned earlier, one way you might do this is to create a suspense account for each 'pot', and code the transactions in your bank to the relevant account.
Another option might be to use a Tracking Category for these pots, with a separate Tracking Option for each pot.
Either way, you could run the Account Transactions Report against the bank account, and Group the report (such as by Tracking Category), to see the totals for each pot.
If you'd like to try this out before taking action in your own org, you can use the demo company to test it. 😊

Bank Feed - Connect with Fidelity Bank
Please allow direct bank feeds with Fidelity. They are one of the largest financial institutions in the world!!
3 votesHey community, thanks so much for weighing in on this one!
Just to clarify, certain Fidelity Bank accounts already have bank feeds in Xero through Yodlee or Flinks. If you’re unsure about your own account, it’s worth reaching out to Xero Support—they can confirm whether a feed is available for you.
Given this, the status has been updated to Existing functionality.
We really appreciate your input and encourage you to keep sharing your experiences, it helps us improve coverage and service for everyone.

Financial Settings - Ability to adjust time settings
Adjust time settings in Xero for accurate timestamp reporting during BST
1 voteHi Candice, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and for highlighting the importance of having your financial settings accurately reflect your business's time zone.
We wanted to let you know that the ability to adjust the time settings for your organisation already exists in Xero. You can set and change your time zone by heading to Accounting > Advanced > Financial settings. Here, you’ll be able to select the correct time zone for your business.
Since this functionality is already available, we've closed this idea for votes and comments. If you're having trouble locating this setting or if you're experiencing any issues with your time zone in Xero, please feel free to reach out to our support team for a hand.
