Sales Report by Customer with financial year comparatives
I just want a simple report that show sales by customer with comparatives to previous financial years that agrees back to the sales on the profit & loss statement. Surely thats not too difficult??
I am disappointed at the lack of decent sales reporting in Xero. Whilst I agree that Xero has many great features, their sales reporting is not one of them.
The income by contact report does not work as it picks up all receive money transactions for all contacts, not just those in the sales accounts or for customers, so it is significantly different to the P&L.
7 votesHi community, as noted in my last update you can use the Income by Contact report which will show the contacts you’ve received money from over a chosen period, and includes both receive money and sales invoice amounts that have been entered for the contact.

Invoicing - Enable "make one for all" invoicing options for all customers in a group
Enable "Make one for all" invoices for all contacts in a specific group/s
1 voteHi! Did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero?
To create an invoice for a customer group, you can click the drop down arrow next to the Invoice option from the Invoice list view you'll see your Contact groups where you can select which group to create invoices for.
You can find more information on this in our Xero Central help article - Invoice a group of customers. 🙂
To ask questions about using Xero in community you can post or join Discussions on Xero Central. Thanks

Income and Expenses by Contact report - Filter by account
Please add chart of account codes as a filter on the Income and Expenses by Contact report
2 votesHi team, upon re-reviewing your idea here - while there is no filter for Account on the Income & Expenses by contact report atm, you can use the Account Transactions report to get what you're asking here.
You can select the specific accounts you'd like to view results for, Group or Summarise by Contact and add a Filter for Source to only select the transaction types you'd like to see results for.
If you find this report useful you could then Save it as custom so you can easily access it with your filters in the future. 🙂
