  1. It would be really useful to see the contact name on the History and Notes report.
We use this report to track bank account changes but we also check newly added supplier bank account details. Seeing which contact each line relates to would help us group them and know if an 'Edited - Bank.....' relates to the same contact as a 'Created' so we don't need to go into each line

  2. Please enable the ability to pay staff with a joint bank account in same pay run. We currently have to pay two couples with a joint bank account into separate accounts each run. Xero does not permit two payments into the same bank account in one pay run. I have confirmed with our bank that this is not an error on their end. Xero support have informed me that this is not a function that Xero currently offers.

  3. The new modernised GST returns in Xero no longer export the report name in the exported file name. The document only has the client name and date, not the report type anymore. Should say "XXXX Ltd 30 11 2024 GST Return", whereas it currently only says XXXX Ltd 30 11 2024". Inefficient to have to manually add the words "GST Return" for each report produced in Blue Xero when sending multiple documents to clients. Is there a way to get it back? Within the document itself it says the report type, but would be preferred to be included in the…

  4. The item code on the New invoicing shows much smaller that it was on the Classic Invoicing. Example attached shows how much harder it is to read. Can this be enlarged?

  5. more of a fault - when creating a sales invoice and editing the invoice number - it keeps going back to a system default invoice number, even when that has been deleted/erased.

Appreciate you sharing here, Mike. Keen to get a bit more detail on the actions that are occurring for you here. When you say you remove the invoice number and it's changing - Are you trying to save the invoice with another number that you're entered or would you be trying to save this blank?

If not already I'd recommend raising a case with our Xero Support team of specialists to take a closer look at why this may be changing for you.

  7. It's good to see you have extended the period before removing classic invoicing because I still need to revert to classic for certain features that are missing from the new system, namely:

    1. The ability to copy invoices to Bills and PO's - this is an important feature that I use regularly
    2. Send invoices via Xero network - again this is a feature that has been useful especially for invoicing between subsidiaries.
    3. Save and continue feature, I don't like the auto save feature because it continues to update the history and notes while I am still adding details to the invoice…

Appreciate your feedback here, Helen. We already have existing idea that we've added your vote to for the first 3 points you've shared. You'll receive any updates of progress for these separately. I'll just adjust the title for your idea here to reflect your last point around the formatting of a contact name. We'll let you know if there is any change planned for this, here.

  8. Is it possible to move the delete button away from approve button in Sales Overview.
When approving invoices, have too be very careful with delete button right beside approve.

  9. To add a feature in Xero for dual-language invoices (English and Arabic) and to generate QR codes for ZATCA compliance (Saudi Arabia), here's a structured approach. Xero does not natively support dual-language invoices with QR codes directly, but you can integrate third-party applications or customize invoice templates to meet these requirements.

    1. Integrating Dual-Language (English & Arabic) Invoices in Xero Xero doesn't provide a built-in feature for dual-language invoices (English and Arabic) by default, so this needs to be handled through third-party integrations or custom solutions.

    A. Using a Third-Party Integration App
    Search for ZATCA-Compliance Apps:

    Go to Xero Marketplace and…

  10. Small Business Corporations (SBC's) can, under certain circumstances, depreciate assets in a 3-year schedule as follows:

    • 1st year: 50%
    • 2nd year: 30%
    • 3rd year: 20%

See the attached document, under 4.2.

Currently, this is not possible (I checked with Support).

I expect this to work within Xero, as it is a regular tax rule in South Africa.

Adding this schedule for South Africa would be extremely useful and important, as we now have to do the depreciation outside of Xero.

  11. Keep the Xero Classic Look everyone preferred.

The design of the New Invoicing, Bills and Fixed Assets pages are sadly reminiscent of an excel spreadsheet.

One of the enjoyments of the Xero software compared to its competitors are the fresh, clean pages that make it inviting to use. When changing to new function, Xero has changed its design elements and is missing the 'attractiveness' that has been part of Xero's signature branding.

Specifically black text, flat checkboxes, grey cell borders and grey column headers makes it feel like an outdated 1990s program.

I am hearing similar comments from my clients.…

  13. Hi there, would be awesome to be able to have a column in the Xero Tracking Summary Report which would sum up the quantities from what you entered in the quantity column in the Receive Money/Spend Money when you reconcile the transactions. This is especially important when organisations are measuring the quantities (eg. number of trips taken; number of food parcels handed out) are used with Xero. As it takes a lot of time to go into each transaction and see what the quantities are to get the group total, this feature would save people a lot of time.

  14. As someone who is colour blind, I find the Budget Variance Arrows are similar / same colour which makes viewing budget variance at a glance a challenge.

It would be great to have an option to have lines highlighted a colour if above/below budget instead. Even better if this colour option was customisable.

  15. In New Invoicing we can now hide the tax amount column. As this is for organisations that are not registered for tax, the Tax Rate column is also redundant so would it be possible to hide that too? We are set up as No VAT Scheme so both these columns just get in the way and it seems odd that we can mask one but not the other when you only ever need both or neither.

While we're at it, could we do the same in Billing?

    Thanks

  16. When creating new 'spend money' transactions during bank reconciliation, allow the tax setting to match the tax setting in financial settings, if set to tax exclusive, so that it doesn't just default to tax inclusive.

  17. It’s not possible to view the original invoice exchange rate in New Invoicing. New invoicing only shows the current exchange rate. I have to revert to classic invoicing to see what rate was used when posting the invoice.

  18. We have dozens of parent companies with underlying subsidiaries who place separate orders for separate locations, all under the parent company's credit line/name. These all split into different contacts in Xero when they come in from our order processing system. We need Xero to support hierarchies/parent-child relationships/nested orders, so that all purchases can be aggregated to the parent company, both for tracking overall credit use and for sending consolidated statements that include all purchases from all "children". We work with BigCommerce who has a BundleB2B feature that allows these kind of parent-child hierarchies on the client-facing side, but we can't…

  19. Can we have an option to print to pdf statements in landscape as well as portrait?
for example the screen in xero when I look at the statement shows the invoice reference in full but when you download this to PDF the reference gets shortened. This is an issue when the reference is a PO number and then you don't see all the PO number on the PDF version, for some customers they will not accept the PDF statement because of this
