  1. I've noticed that Xero is retiring classic invoicing, and that the Xero to Xero link option is not available in New Invoicing. Xero to Xero is an important feature for many of our clients especially in groups where there is intra-group invoicing with many items on an invoice this saves a lot of time! Please add Xero to Xero to new invoicing. I also want to ask if Xero to Xero can please automatically attach the pdf version of the invoice to the bill created in the opposite entity as this does not happen automatically.

    Hi Michael, we have an idea for Xero to Xero in new invoicing and want to be open that this isn't something we'll be building into new invoicing however there is still a way to use this feature. You can have a read of my full post on the idea.

    In relation to your second idea around auto attaching the PDF of an invoice when it's created as a bill in the recipients organisation. I'll slightly amend your idea for this here and we can get a sense of the appetite for this.

  2. We currently need to manually enter additions such as tips to several employees which is time consuming. It would be nice to enter all the tips with one CSV import into Xero.

  3. Customer statement - with a customised due date option.

    The option to be able to email customer statements directly from Xero with a customised due date. Eg. Selecting email customer statements to 30th June and only invoices that are due up to the 30th June are generated and emailed (rather than everything that is invoiced on their customer card which in our case could be up to 12 months in advance).

  4. I propose an update to the formatting of the cheque stubs so that summarize the list of bills that are being paid by cheque on the stub, not the individual line items.

    I have a client that owns 12 franchise restaurants. Some of the bills that are received have to be split 12 ways. if multiple bills are received, we're looking at that many more lines on the stub. Can we please update the format of the stub to summarize the bills that are being paid to avoid confusion for vendors?

    The attached stub is a payment for 3 bills.

  6. Within Xero Projects, we would like the functionality to be able to amend the project setting so that we can set the default to non-chargeable for bills and expenses rather then the current automatic % markup.

    The current approach means that the project reporting shows bills outstanding when they aren't particularly relevant when you have contractors delivering the work for an agreed price. at the moment we have to go into each category and amend each line item

  7. Being able to turn off "suggest previous entries" can prevent clients being to trigger happy with the "Ok's" in the bank rec screen. Unfortunately, this option does not flow through to the Xero APP. Can this please be updated.

  8. Analytics Plus - Predictions do not filter based on bank account selection

    When you have multiple bank accounts but only need one selected for cash flow purposes, the monthly predictions that xero has created do not filter out based on the bank account they were predicted from.

    In my example I now have petty cash predictions and interest income from a savings account showing when only the main current account is selected, this messes with the predicted end balance making the cash totally useless

    Hi all, just updating the status of this idea to Gaining Support here, to align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas. You can read more about this on our blog.

    For the time being, you can keep your accounts up to date in Xero by manually importing statements from Anext Bank. As per our last update below, we'd also recommend sharing this link with your bank to let them know you'd like to see them connect with Xero, and they can fill in the form if they're interested in Partnering with us.

    While we don't have any direct plans for this atm, we'll share if any are made with you here.

  11. I want to assign the customer to repeating invoices like software subscriptions that we pay for our clients. I have those bills in as repeating invoices but I have to assign the customer to them every month. It would be nice to be able to assign the customer on the repeating invoice and save that time each month.

    Thanks for sharing with us here, community. While your idea has been reviewed by our product team we want to be open that we will not develop the ability to delete old pay runs. Instead, there is the mark as inactive option.


    We have rolled out new functionality in NZ payroll for timesheets, and while inactive ones are in the list, these are grouped together at the bottom, meaning you don't have to scroll through them, but can still view any old timesheets linked to that calendar.

  13. Our company are making use of the "personal money" and "company money" options to submit their expense claims. There is a report to track cost paid with personal money but no report to track cost paid with the company money. This report will be critical for commission calculations.

    Hi Hiten, company money transactions are recorded in the organisation as Spend money. You could run the Account Transactions report for your bank accounts, and add a filter for, or group the report by source to only see spend money transactions.

    In terms of commissions, we don't have a specific feature for tracking this however you could use Tracking in Xero to set up a Tracking category and each of the employees as a tracking option on that category. This way when they are entering company money transactions you could track it back to the employee by filtering by that tracking option.

  15. Hi I need a detailed report like the Payroll transaction list report that also includes the account code the amount was posted too. I want to reconcile the journal posting to the Indvidual's so i can see who is incorrectly setup.

  18. Payroll Employee Summary Report

    Is there a way to have this report show the actual period the wages are for? Currently the report shows "for the period 17 April 2024 to 17 April 2024, which is the date the payroll is paid. BUT the period is actually for 10 April 2024 to 16 April 2024.

  19. We have a 2 year old issue where we changed an employee end date then reverted a payrun. HMRC has not recognised the revertion or that the resubmission is the same data so we have a duplicate that we haven't been able to sort out.
    To avoid this pain for others, could there be a pop-up warning if someone tries to revert (or otherwise change) a payrun where an included employee has an end date set? Or if the end date has been changed? The details of how it works can be as is easiest to implement.

  20. I want more decimal places on the Line Amount and Invoice Total to display as follow:
    1.7568 x 25.12 = 44.1309

    I can get it to show 44.1300 but I want to set it up to show 44.1309
