  1. email with 1-click link to list of unpaid/open invoices...

    When invoices are sent from MYOB, the email includes a link to a webpage which individually lists all unpaid/open invoices. This a great feature especially for accountants when they get a statement and find they are missing an invoice (this link would also be a great option to add this link to statements!!).

    Is there a particular reason you'd specifically not want the user to login to Xero to view this information, Ben? 

    Currently as you may be aware, there's an option to include a link so that your customer can view outstanding invoices they have with you - See more here 


  2. Suggestion? Please fix the Salary Sacrifice % of Earnings to include all gross earnings, not just payroll items selected for SGC.

    Currently Xero will only apply a Salary Sacrifice % amount to any payroll item that is selected for SGC. If an employee chooses to Salary Sacrifice a % of their gross earrings that may include overtime worked, a manual calculation work around is required.

  3. Please add a setting option or a column for display details about "Account" in the table shown in "Bills to pay" instead of only showing "Ref" which the information of "Account" is important and moreover we don't need to waste time to entry "Ref" for checking.

  4. It would be extremely helpful to be able to assign a range of default settings to either individual contacts, or to contact groups, such as:
    - invoice template
    - billing cycle (((would also be great to get variable billing cycles as a feature!))
    - currency

    we have a fair amount of customer hierarchy, which we've been able to somewhat address with contact groups.. but the fundamental lack of configurable options after the group is designated feels hugely wasted.

  5. Be able to setup the ATO integrated Client Account as a Bank Account and receive a direct feed fro the ATO (or relevant Tax Authority) for transactions including Penalties and General Interest Charges.

  6. In order to track and approve "Working from Home" requests it would be useful if Xero would enable pay item ("Working from Home") to be created that would function in the same manner as a leave category but was not leave (i.e. would not be reported to the Tax Office as a type of leave).
    That way employees could apply to work from home, as they do annual leave, and approved working from home hours would automatically appear on the leave calendar.

    Hi Amna, could you explain your idea a little more? Would this be to send bulk comms to multiple contacts from Xero, or something like being able to set different persons on a contacts record to receive different types of transactions or communications? 

  8. We need an approval process which includes multiple approvers who do not necessarily access Xero so a share as with an invoice would be ideal to request approval via email

  9. Be able to add a message for each individual employee to tell them what their premium is for their medical insurance benefit.

    The premium for each employee is different, so can't use the payslip message on a payroll run. Adding individual data to a person's payslip each month is too labour intensive.

    Maybe some type of pay item without affecting their pay/tax/NI etc. It could then be added to their pay template so it appears every month.

  10. In the Director's Declaration, it would be great if the report could recognise if there is a single Director or multiple, and then update the wording accordingly. (eg "The Directors have determined" or "The Director has determined".)

  11. Ability to completely remove from the My Xero homepage cancelled Xero organisations. Currently, you can list no fewer than 10 items per page, so if you have say 4 active organisations and 6 cancelled organisations, you are 'forced' to look at the list of cancelled organisations every time you log in, even if the entities have long been deregistered and there is no chance that you will resubscribe to them.

  14. Currently bill costs are not posted to the accounts until it has been approved. It would be beneficial if once a bill was entered/submitted for approval in xero the costs were shown in the accounts. If the approver is not available to approve the bills it holds up finalising month end accounts.

    Appreciate wanting to get a view of the ideas you've started. 

    It's not possible on the platform itself currently, however if you select the option to 'Export my data' from your Settings and Activity page you'll receive a few files, one of which is a CSV of all the ideas you've started and the URL to be able to view these online 

  17. Very very occasionally, sending an e-invoice will fail. When this happens, currently the only way to find out is to follow up with the client about their unpaid invoice, find out they never received it, go into the individual invoice and look at the history. An alert would be very useful.

  18. In the Reconcile Accounts view it would be great to be able to have a link to the item you are about to reconcile - like the "more info" on the statement side of the reconcile view. Often payments appear to match but it can be hard to tell without seeing the detail on the invoices or payments that have been registered against the invoice.

    Hi Rob, if you click the Find & Match text above the right hand side of the match this'll pop open the Find & Match modal where you can quickly open the invoice in another tab to check it's details.

  20. Reports: Project Financials
    Include the ref of bills and invoices as an optional column on this report. At present the only way to include this information is to re type it into the description of each line on a bill or invoice, which is not efficient.
