  1. On the new bills screen you're now unable to open other areas (awaiting payment/draft etc) in a second tab without first opening the purchases overview window in a new tab.

    On the old bills screen you could either middle click or ctrl+click the options at the top of the list to do this and it was rather useful.

  2. I am a relatively new user to Xero but have over 35 years MYOB experience as an Accountant. While I enjoy many of the Xero features there is a fundamental one that is missing and frustrates me endlessly. In MYOB under contacts there is a history tab where you can easily see spend history by month for several years for customers and suppliers. This is such a simple but powerful screen that is completely missing in Xero. Running reports is slow and un-necessary.

    Have you considered offering this simple enhancement to Xero?

  3. The longer I use Xero the more supplier invoices it stores.
    When I use the recent bills report it takes so long to go back to the beginning 2015 in my case before it allows you to put in a date search.
    It would be great if we could have a function to archive old supplier and customer invoices- not losing them altogether but just in the background to be viewed if needed.

  4. Enable option to enter birthdate for contractors in payroll. Our contractors have been with us for years and we like to recognise their birthdays. Since xero payroll integrates with Finlerts LeaveCal and Google Calendar, this would make this a breeze :-)

  5. In Australia one of the criteria to classify as a "small buisiness" is to have 15 or less employees.

    Could this also be reflected in Xero's pricing which jumps from 10 employees on payroll to 20.

    It would be nice to have a meet half way mark with a fair price for 15 employess.

  6. I have multiple clients for whom I perform varying tasks. I log in and work on their accounts with my practice email.

    When sending invoices on clients' behalf, or paying bills to clients' suppliers, the copy invoice or remittance advice goes to my practice email as I am the logged in user. The person/company who needs this copy is my client (whose email is the 'reply to').

  8. Hi Xero.
    Currently, User's with Invoice Only Access can only approve invoices and bills. However they are unable to remove a payment (or part thereof) from an invoice.

    This is a problem if the User accepts a payment, then realises that there is an error on the invoice, as they are then unable to remove the amount and fix the invoice.
    It would be great if these User's could have this ability without having access to the business bank accounts

  9. When I prepare Financial Statements, I copy and edit a published set of Financial Statements from the previous year. But it is annoying that in the now draft Financial Statements, the date in the Compilation Report does not refresh to current date. So I either manually edit the date or add a Comp Report from My Xero. Either way is a pain. Any better ideas?

  10. In XERO as at today when you set up a salary sacrificed arrangement, the amount being sacrificed by the employee will be added onto the employer's contribution and appear under the employer's field for reporting purposes.

    But when you need to submit the pension report to the pension provider portal you will need to separate employee and employer contribution. It will be much easier to download the report, at least from the pension filings option, that shows all the breakdown of all information as it needs to be so it can just be uploaded in the pension provider portal without…

  11. I would like to put fixed asset categories (plant and machinery, motor vehicles etc) as the columns, and have Cost, Depreciation, NBV - bfwds and cfwds etc in the rows underneath. See attached.

    As far as I was aware it was standard to have the fixed asset note in this format so was surprised this was not already a functionality,

  12. The upgraded Quotes layout does not allow me to attach pdf's from the Files Section.
    The only way to do this now is to download pdf from Files. Open Quote and Save it. Upload pdf.

    This has significantly slowed down the workflow - please can Xero Quotes be able to add attachemnts from Files and before Saving.

  14. Ability to identify which Xero files staff members who leave the firm have direct access to the client Xero file as opposed to being granted access from a firm level. This way, before you delete the user from Xero HQ/Blue you can check to see if any clients need to be contacted to update to invite the firm rather than a specific employee.

    Thanks for raising this, Amy. 

    I've done some testing to check around this and can confirm - While not currently available for iOS devices when using the Xero Accounting app, this is possible on and Android device with the mobile app, or when using Xero on a desktop.

    There are some complexities adding to iOS and with a very little usage from IO users there are no plans at present to develop this there. However, it'd be good to get a better sense of the interest, and we'll start to track this through the idea, here. 🙂

  16. why can't we set up income allocations by %, not jnl , as every time you change something , you need to redo your jnl, update work papers etc. There must times when finals have been sent out ( Urgent) and this has been over looked
    This is a rather backwards step, esp when a trust could have 10 beneficiaries and need to do jnls ?!
    Would also affect partnerships, they would be the easiest to fix as majority would be a 50/50

  18. Please could you enable the option of re-ordering an invoice on the mobile app. Sometimes invoices need to be changed or additions to be made to specific dates. For example, if I want to amend my invoice and add a charge , I would like to be able to press a re-order tab, to make all items billed live, so I can move then up or down the invoice. It is not a new idea, a lot of payment software have this as standard.

  19. Projects>Time entries
    Currently only one view, in order of entry.
    We enter start and end times for tasks.
    Would prefer to have the ability to sort the time entries page by time started. That way a user can more readily identify parts of their day not yet entered.
