  2. I would like to know how to turn off JAX prompts and remove the icon from the middle of my screen when I am trying to send an email to a client. The comments are closed on the other post regarding this, however the question has not been answered. Please directly address how to remove this now that it no longer in beta.

  3. When allocating a credit note, either an invoice or bill, be able to set a date for the application, rather than defaulting to the date the credit note was created as it will fail occasionally when using lock dates.

  5. In search since I've used Xero, when searching for an Invoice Number - results would appear and a coloured box with the status - red for Awaiting Payment, and green for Paid. A handy visual meaning I didn't have to actually read the status.
    Now in the new Search - these colours have disappeared. Why? I now have to scan up and down and actually read what it says without my visual guide. Xero keeps making changes to make things harder to use, and any suggestions I follow to make things easier for users, even really simple quick fixes, are…

  6. As a 1-man business I only need limited features, but the Project feature is one of these that feels essential to my line of work. It is only available in the highest pricing plan and is not available as an add-on. This appears to price out small businesses who want this feature. Please consider allowing this as an add-on, even if it isn't to be available in different pricing tiers.

  7. For the report templates, would it be possible to include a tax computation as part of the Annual Financial Statements? This schedule would show the income tax calculation for the year as well as the resulting tax asset or liability at year-end.

  8. A slight bug found - I just had a supplier ask why we had charged less for the last 2 months. I checked and it looks like Xero defaulted to "GST Inclusive" invoices when copying an invoice that is GST-Exclusive, even when:

    1) the previous Invoice is set to "GST Exclusive"
    2) the Financial settings, tax defaults, For sales is set to for"Based on last sale"
    3) Note - No Contact defaults for GST set.

    Somehow, my $500 + GST invoices = $575 has been reduced to $500 including GST.

    Previously Xero would copy over the invoice exactly, but now…

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea. We can see why this would be useful. We have reviewed this idea and can see that currently when you copy an invoice, the financial settings of the organisation take precedence over the settings from the original invoice. This idea is now in Gaining support status, which means it's open for community votes and comments while we monitor interest from users.

  9. Can we have an audit trail on Timesheets, please? If there is a dispute around timesheet entries, changes, submissions, retractions, re-submissions, approvals etc. it would be invaluable to have an audit trail for the employee. the approver and business owner to refer to. I was surprised this didn't exist as both Xero AI and ChatGPT explained how to find it! Sadly Xero Support confirmed this audit trail does not exist.

  10. It would be great to have a shortcut to adding project time. At the moment, the + near settings has a shortcut to many functions, but not project related functions.

  11. It would be great to have a feature to Approve, Mark as sent & Email multiple invoices in one click from the Awaiting Approval Tab. We use a program outside of Xero to add invoice details & amounts and then export to Xero for approval and emailing. At present we have to take two steps to achieve the Approve, Mark as sent & Email result.

    In the meantime, it is possible to bulk Approve invoices from the Draft tab. Once this is done, you'll get a message where you can click 'View invoices' and select them all to then Email.

  12. Once an employees timesheet has been processed and approved it would be handy to be able to print the completed timesheet off for filing away as a hard copy.

    At the moment you have to process and approve the timesheet which automatically takes you back to the list of timesheets to be approved/already completed only to have to turn around at open the same one back up and select the 3 dots at the top as have shown to print the whole page which is incredibly frustrating. Can we please look into having a print option??

  13. In the general search field at the top right, it would be very helpful if the search also work with a space or a few spaces at the beginning. Because if I copy an invoice number in the field I always have to delete the spaces first before the search works - it's annoying.

  14. I would like to be able to 'print' or 'save' a pdf invoice to a folder of my choosing rather than to the default 'downloads'
    Currently ALL downloaded items from the internet are placed in 'downloads' so I need to move the invoice pdf to my chosen folder. It would be a excellent time saver if I could choose my own folder to save to, and have it use this chosen folder each time.

    I believe it is a software bug to rely on the default settings of the users browser to determine where files are saved to.

  15. It would be ideal when in reconcile bank, under the Account Transactions tab, that the lines are sorted newest to oldest as the first option under each sort category.

    Now that we are years into using Xero, it is not necessary to see the old transactions as a first see option.

    I typically sort my account transactions by Status as I want to see unreconciled items on the top and directly beneath that is the reconciled but the first line is the very first transaction posted years before. If I am trying to find a double entry in account transactions…

  16. When presenting the Profit & Loss in a different currency from the file currency the exchange rate is as the last date of the Profit & Loss Statement (P&L). While this is appropriate for the Balance Sheet it is not so for the P&L. I would like to be able to extract a P&L report knowing the figures are based on an average exchange rate for the period as opposed to a single date rate.

    In the way Xero works at present the exchange rate is based on the end date of a report or the set exchange rate that was used.

  17. Bills are listed as 'duplicate' even tho they are monthly recurring bills so even tho the amounts are the same, the dates are different. Is there any way of these monthly bills not being listed as 'duplicate'. wastes a lot of time checking.

  19. Please allow adding on an extra employee for payroll in Australia, as is possible in the UK.
    The Ignite plan is enough for most small businesses and sole traders, but the jump in price just to add an extra employee means paying more than double, which is cost prohibitive.
    Most businesses don't need the add on and accounting tools when you move up to Grow or Comprehensive - allowing for an extra payroll add on for a small charge, would be beneficial for family and small businesses.

  20. From the Files Inbox, there is a way to attach the file to a NEW transaction, but please allow it to be attached to an existing transaction too. This is especially useful when there are lots of files in the Inbox.

    Appreciate why you'd like to be able to attach a file to an existing transaction from the detail you've shared here, Hitesh.

    This isn't possible from the Files inbox atm, however as you may already be across - from the flip side you can attach a file from the Files inbox from within the transaction.

    Do get this means having to go to the transaction to perform what you're asking and we'll get a sense of the interest in being able to attach to an existing transaction from within the Files inbox, here.
