  1. Xero needs to have an option in either Income Type or Tax Scale for employees on the Seasonal Worker Program, ie PALM Workers, so that the system automatically taxes them at the flat rate of 15%.

    At the moment I have approx 33 such employees and I must adjust their tax in every single payrun.

    The ATO have a specific code (W > P) that should be used for these workers under STP Phase 2 reporting.   2. Budget Variance Report for 12 months.

    Currently the budget variance report is restricted within a selected date range. If we are able to customize the budget variance for the below two options:

    Option 1: If there is an option to run the variance report for previous financial year for the 12 individual month with the actual and budget variance.

    Option 2: For current Financial Year, if there is an option to customize the monthly actual and budget variance report including the budget for the reminder of 11 months.

  3. add column in invoice overview. Hi, I was wondering if I can add a column in the program in invoices overview. When I used sage 50 account before, I could see a list of invoices and first few lines of what the include. Now when I go to a customer and would like to check how much I charged for particular job and I don't know when it was done, I need to open each individual invoice to see description. My invoices usually include one to three lines and would be very helpful to see in one of the column…

  4. Including an aging summary of the respective client in the latest invoice would provide valuable insight and enhance the document's effectiveness.

  5. Checks (cheques) cut for Xero US subscribers should print addresses accordingly. Not all the letters in a City need to be capitalized. City not CITY. Furthermore, there should be a comma after City. And if you use the Attention feature in the Contact Address, it should print as the first line in the check address. Currently it prints as Vendor Name, Attention: Jane Doe. That makes for a very odd, confusing addressee on the check.

  6. Change to New Trial Balance

    If the trial balance is set to cash rather than accruals I can no longer see the depreciation and accumulated depreciation accounts. This is a pain for clients who report on a cash basis but still have depreciation. These accounts should appear on cash or accruals as this does not effect whether it is claimed in the tax return.

  7. Ability: Xero only displaying the unpaid invoice up top under client/contact ----- same as former Xero version - PLEASE change this back it was perfect and it is very much not userfriendly now

    Purpose: quick overview of the account i.e. which invoices are unpaid and what was communicated last

    Current issue: with the new changes all client invoices are displayed on top, this clutters the view and is useless information, the old invoice (old and paid) don't need to be visible on top. The current invoice status is important i.e. what is not paid. It is clutter to display all…

  8. As an approver of timesheets i see there are couple of issues which can make the process water tight.

    1.Ability to see approved time sheets (siimilar to leaves). Currently once the timesheet is approved for an individual there is no way to check what has been approved

    2.Ability to run a report for all employees that have been approved or alternatively ability to allow access to certain reports to the approver.

  9. Xero calculates tax per line based on the total tax value of all components then rounds this figure. It is later split between tax components.

    Xero should be calculating the sum of each tax component rounded for each line item.

    Image attached shows how Xero calculates a different value for two equal tax components due to this simplistic method it is using to calculate tax. What is the point in having the ability to set multiple tax components if this is not taken into consideration when calculating the total tax value per item.

    I wanted to take a moment to share a suggestion that I believe could significantly simplify our payroll process. It involves the implementation of a bulk upload feature, which would allow us to handle payroll data in a more efficient manner. We will need a template that contains essential details for each employee. These details may include the employee's name, rate of salary, and various pay items relevant to their compensation. This would reduce the time and effort invested in processing payroll.

While we understand wanting to see developments, as you may have recently read - We’ve been offering Pay Run to our Global Edition customers since 2011 to provide basic payroll functionality. However, over the years, we’ve focused our efforts on making solutions available which offer enhanced features and a deeper integration with the Xero platform, such as Xero payroll in AU, NZ and UK, we've also seen newer payroll solutions in regions available through the Xero App Store (such as Gusto in US). 

    With this focus, we’re making some changes to Global Pay Run to help you manage your payroll more effectively;

    - From 23 July 2025 Global Pay Run will become read-only. You'll still be able to see all your past payroll information, however you will not be able to process any new pay runs…

  11. Need a way to format the 'xero standard report and then have that formatting flow through to all of the common formats. It takes WAY too long to create SO many custom reports and it is restricting on reporting. We should be able to format the way we want the P&L to always show and then have that flow through to all reports.

Current invoice template (as of 26 July 2023) does not allow to automatically populate the customer's VAT number nor make reference to reverse charge, as is required by Council Directive 2006/112/EC of 28 November 2006 on the common system of value added tax, Section 4 "Content of invoices", Article 226, paragraphs (4) and (11).

    Current template means we need to remember to fit in those details in the services description since there is no way to add a note on the invoice itself.

    (1) when a tax rate EU/0% is selected, add the customer's EU VAT number automatically or trigger…

  14. I am on a customer page and it shows that they currently owe for two open invoices. I would like to be able to click on the button Open Invoices and have the option to receive payment for those open invoices without having to leave the customer page. Currently I have to go to 1. Business 2. invoices 3. Awaiting Payment 4. Scroll through ALL open invoices (no filter even?), 5. Select the invoices I want to receive payment on 6. Select Deposit. Why not just go straight to the customer's open invoices and receive payment?

  15. I would like to see a report that listed all the bank accounts, their balance at the report date and the date of the last imported bank statement line. For a company with more than a handful of accounts it would make it much easier to see which accounts needed to be brought up to date for accounts prep.

  17. In due date fields (and why not other fields), allow Excel formulae with invoice fields as variables into the formula to drive the default value. The existing constant value is a valid excel formula so would be backward compatible.

  18. Custom reports- why there such a large gap of blank wasted space between the account names and the first column!! We create month x month reports ie 12 months of columns wide, so it is very frustrating when you create a PDF with all those columns on it and there is that great wasted space before the first column!!!

  19. Currently you can add a bill / invoice without adding a invoice number or just typing a word or anything - example our debtors lady invoiced (Receivable invoice) a client and overwrited the invoice number (reference) to "Diesel R/Bay" so the invoice had no invoice number

  20. We only want to pay the supplier/freelancer once our customer has paid for the service.
    Some form of link between a purchase invoice and the associated sales invoice to flag that the supplier can now be paid as the corresponding sales invoice was settled.
    Trigger something in the Due Date or even set up a payment so that it is easier to make sure we only pay once we have been paid

    Hi Neil, just rounding back on your idea here again. We have a separate request for the ability to be notified when an invoice has been paid.
