  1. For the line items in the Tracking Summary, please include a currency column! Historically this was available. Calculating commission now takes WAY longer. Seems like it should be an easy fix.

  2. Please be consistent with the location of the "Branding Theme" field.

    You have placed the "Branding Theme" field in different places, in the Quotes page it's on the right and in Invoicing it's on the left. Can you please put it in the same place consistently. As a user you learn where fields are and automatically go to them, so this is annoying.
    My preference would be to keep it on the left.

  3. It would be most helpful if we could edit "receive/spend money" with "Bank receipt/payment", where "Bank" is replaced by the name of the bank, i.e. HSBC or Barclays, etc.
    If more than 1 account with the same bank, HSBC Vat a/c or HSBC Paye a/c, etc....

    Hi Bid, trying to better understand the purpose of your idea here and how it would help you when using Xero.

    When you say you'd like to change the name of spend or receive money - Is there a place or flow you're using in Xero that causes confusion when looking at these transaction types?

  4. Cash Summary Report to include Primary Person Please.

    Can you get a cash summary report to provide in order 3 items as per below
    Invoice No ... Contact ...Primary person
    I cant seem to find a report for all three .
    We send 170 invoices out client who pay sometimes do not include invoice number and we have to track by firm name or contact which can vary also on bank receipt information.

    e.g.

    I need "Primary person" to help "match" an unidentied payment. so searching for "primary person" identifies the invoice number or the right contact.

  5. Copying part of a sent invoice perhaps just invoice number and amount to my e-mail would avoid a problem I had.
    My e-mails were hacked and a monthly rent invoice I had sent was copied the next month with amended bank details.
    I no longer send copies to my e-mail although now I have to concentrate more so I know which ones I have sent.
    This type of fraud has happened to someone else I know - we are more careful with our e-mail security now.

    I'm sorry to hear that your email was hacked, Joanne. As you may have seen in other ideas on the site we are working to develop the History & Notes so you'll soon be able to see detail of the email an invoice has been sent too. Doesn't ideally solve for what you're asking here, so we'll continue to track this separately and update if there's any news of having more control of what you can send with the send to self option.

  6. The Reconcile section split allows you to add, subtract, multiply and divide in the amount cell. The Cash Coding split section does not. I would like the Cash Coding split section to allow for the calculations so that you don't have to hop back and forth between Reconcile and Cash Coding in order to get all of the transactions in. This would save a lot of time for manual entry items.

  7. When Reconciling a large bank feed It would be good if the page went back to the top so that we did not have to scroll up every time.
    At the moment when you get to the bottom and page forward it stays at the bottom of that screen

    Not a direct solution to what you're asking here, Tony. However you may find it a useful shortcut to press the 'Home' button on your keyboard which should bump you from the bottom to the top of any screen 😊

  8. Hey - when making a custom report it would be really useful to be able to show the movement in balance sheet codes. For example, when preparing our month end summary we can't bring in the capitalised wages cost automatically because it brings in the cumulative balance, rather than the balance for the period. To be honest it's crazy to me that this doesn't exist, but would be great if it could!

    Being open, we don't have any current plans for changing the Custom report behaviour but we'll continue to track the interest through your idea here and will update if there is any changes to share.

  9. "Common Expenses" - fix product flaw.
    In Xero app, as follows:
    -Purchases
    - +
    -Add receipt
    -Tap:Categorise to an acct
    -acct list pops up with heading "Common expenses". 2 accts listed which I rarely use.
    PLEASE FIX : there is no way to edit the list of accts under the heading at the top "common expenses". See my screen shot

  10. It would be extremely useful if we could view VAT on the dashboard of mobile phone app. Director only uses Xero on his phone so can never keep track of what VAT is due.

  11. Foreign Currency Gains and Losses - remove opening balance from P&L account 498
    Revaluation of the open positions is calculated from invoice/bill issued date to the report date and it is correct. Not sure where from opening balance are coming and are impacting the P&L balances.

  12. Some of my customers utilise my services through a scheme where their employer or a separate 3rd party will pay their invoice.
    Often this same employer or 3rd party will be paying for many of my different clients and they will often pay me in one payment.

    Think of something like an insurance company paying for repairs on many different vehicles, or NDIS payments for the provision of health services to many different customers.

    I quite urgently need a way to keep each customer separate so that I can easily retrieve sales history and data based on individual customer, and…

    Hi Danielle, when you say you'd like to post an application. Could quotes potentially be a fit for this purpose here? Otherwise could you share a bit more detail on what would be needed to record the application in Xero.

  14. For tracked inventory items, there's no way to change the inventory asset account which can be inconvenient. As the inventory grows, they are put under new different classifications so I want to add a new inventory asset account for each. However, I cannot change it in the item's inventory asset account when it is already tracked. It would be very helpful if this will be allowed. Or at least a way to delete a tracked item if there's no transactions/bills, but only adjustments.

  15. As a bookkeeper, I want Xero to support bank feeds for my company’s Certificate of Deposit (CD) savings accounts. My financial institution (Chase) sends data on my CDs to the Xero feed, however, Xero ignores the CD accounts in feed. CDs are supported by other FinTech companies with similar feeds, and should be a low effort feature for Xero to implement.

  16. Please make audible alerts to "messages", tips, etc optional.
    I wear earphones and work across multiple devices and it is quite irritating to hear "bloop" when working across multiple tabs.

  17. I have a client that sometimes has 20+ inventory items on a bill, with similar description, but sizes different. They enter bill in a logical sequential order, but when you add them to the invoice, all to same invoice, its not split between different customers, the items are in a different order with no order, not even items code. IT frustrating client in the process to reorder the items it taking much longer

  19. I would like to be able to edit an entered transaction, i.e., transfer, payment, etc. When I am reconciling, some transactions are posted on the following month, but they were entered at the end of the prior month this creates a problem when reconciling. All I need to do is edit the date and change it, but I have to remove and redo the transaction. This is extremely time-consuming.

    Also, could we change the bank account when we enter the transaction in the wrong registry instead of removing and redoing it?

    Hi Janilyn, appreciate it's not an option when going through the copy to process. However, once the invoice is created you can click the 'x' next to the contacts name to remove and type the correct customers name.

    If the previous contact has only had purchase transactions entered for them, once you've remove them from the invoice they should not be shown in the customers list in your organisation.
