  1. As you’ve found, right now it’s not possible to submit timesheets using the casual rate during the weekday and then also to be able to submit timesheets for the casual rate that applies on the weekend.

    From your idea it sounds as if you'd like employees to be able to submit timesheets with start & end times and different earnings rates, Nathan? This isn't possible atm.

    However, an option here where you're dealing with multiple earnings rates for an employee is to get them to submit timesheets using the 'Total hours worked'. This'll let them;

    • record the number of hours worked per day, including partial hours
    • record time spent at different earnings rates and tracking categories if used.

    Your employees may need to edit the timesheet setting, by opening Xero Me, going to Timesheets > Settings and selecting 'Total hours worked'.

  2. When looking at the Pay Run / Pay Run History page, please add number of employees in each pay run to the overview. We report on this each pay period and would make more sense to be shown here then having to click into the pay run or

  3. Currently Xero is set up to nil off both the Employer NI Expense GL and Liability GL as soon as payroll is run because employers NI contribution is always setoff against HMRC allowances.

    However, it is important to have employers NI contribution cleared only when remittances are made to HMRC and when HMRC send allowances (which is always a month accrued). The allowances are setoff against the employers NI expense GL.

    This treatment will allow the accountant to respond to remittances made to HMRC in terms of employers NI and allowances received from HMRC accordingly.

  4. Please could you allow the ability in Invoice settings for invoice templates, to show only the quantity and not the unit price. Separating these would allow to show how much of a material is used.

  5. Include an extra tab that summarises the totals for the Tax Rates including the cents.

    This will eliminate the need to scroll through all the detail to code the journal/payment.

  6. Unlock Accts Receivable and Accts Payable GL accounts. Currently unable to enter AJEs that require it. Even our auditors are asking why we cannot do this in Xero as with other accounting systems. Previously Xero responded by saying it's an account integrity issue...but accounting is an integrity issue! Too many hours wasted trying to work around this (and please don't suggest creating another account, as in Accts Rec 2)

  7. Hide or Archive System Accounts when not needed. We are a Cash Accounting based business so have no A/R, A/P, or other accounts related to Accrual Accounting. I
    It would be most useful to tidy up our chart of accounts to be able to hide the system accounts related to Accrual Accounting so that they don't clog up our reports etc.

  8. Ability to add a planned payment date to a bill from the "All" tab in. It is very frustrating that if you are in the all tab in the bills to pay section and you want to add a planned date to a bill, you then have to navigate to the awaiting payment tab and then search again for the bills you want to add a planned date to.

    Further, there is actually no need for an awaiting payment tab. We should be able to filter on the All tab for the view of bills we want to see.

When you are entering a Bill to Pay, the Creditor bank account number that you have stored on their contact comes up as a window at the top, so you easily compare with the bank account number with the bank account number on the invoice. This can prompt you to check if the bank account number has been changed and you can make a phone call or follow your company guidelines regarding changing of bank account details to avoid Cyber Crime.   10. Can we please add a feature to allow you to view the inactive Chart of Account Codes? This can show when the last transaction was and highlights which account codes are inactive that may not be needed.

  11. The mobile app currently does not ask you to confirm your password when you setup a pin for your account. If you were to miss-enter your pin, which is easy to do, you essentially immediately lock yourself out of your account. The system should ask for a pin, then ask you to confirm the pin before finalising it, allowing you to go back a step if you enter in the wrong pin.

  14. SAVE FOR LATER section within the Reconcilation page
    We should be able to add a transaction to the top of the list to a section that doesnt scroll, another tab or click a button to change its colour to signify it is now in a special section for 'saving for later'.
    Sometimes a transaction needs looking into further and when doing recon you might end up with half a dozen of these, it would be really handy to be able to group them at the top of page or turn them a different colour so that when continuing on they…

  15. Add Notes reference for Statement of Cash Flows for totals.
    When preparing financial statements it is not possible to add a Notes reference for total lines. This is extremely frustrating as we normally have a note reconciling the net operating cash flows to the net operating profit. This requires PDF correction after exporting from Xero.

    Please add functionality to add a Notes reference for total lines in financial statements.

  16. I want Xero to automatically set contact names when importing transactions from bank feeds, but this doesn't happen on of my several 'bank feeds' where the 'payee name' is blank and the actual payee data appears in the 'description' field instead.

    This means that the option to set the contact name directly from the payee field (when using bank rules) doesn't work and I have to manually enter the contact name for every transaction when reconciling the account transactions. Extremely tedious and labour intensive!

  17. Dear Community,

    as we now have the W9 Request Feature with the 1099 Reporting, I would please request the same for the W8 Series for the 1042 Reporting. I know the forms are much more complex, but I experience that clients, even though reminded about the importance of gathering the W8s. Many completely disregard the Withholding requirement w/o the form.

  18. Location and time tracking, as it stands you can only enter start and finish time. Be good to have a login and logout to track worked hours in real time not just estimating. Location tracking through the timesheet would also help with when switching jobs.

  19. Set a bank rule that only autofills the contact name - Often the same contact is used for sales or purchases to different accounts. Currently bank rules force you to choose an account. I'd like to set the contact automatically with the bank rule, then choose the account during reconciliation. Saves me typing the contact each time.

  20. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to include some non financial data in zero ledgers for reporting?
    For Example - I would like to include a 'No. of Transactions' for a period that would not be a financial number (so no balancing required) but, this number would be available to add to reports i.e creating a cost per transaction.
    We used to call these 'SKU's' and generally they would Non Financial KPI's like:- production days, FTE's, LTI's or Units produced.
    Any help would be great.
