  2. Currently, one can show the field "InvoiceFeeReimbursed" for a Stripe surcharge on an invoice. However, this is just the gross amount (net + VAT), while one needs to split it and show it properly on a VAT invoice?

    It would be best if the surcharge would be a conditional line itewm on an invoice, with all the settings available just like for any other line.

    For example, let's say an invoice is for a domestic UK customer, the total amount (before a surcharge) being £100 + £20 VAT 20%. Let's say the surcharge is 3%, so £3.60. As I'm not…

  5. Stripe Bank accounts should have option to include Currency while importing statement manually. Also Currency conversion tool is needed to convert Multi currencies to Base currency.

  7. When you go into a contact, you can see items that are outstanding and what has been paid, but it would be good if there was the 'pdf' icon against the transaction in this screen rather than having to view the item to see the document.

  8. On bills awaiting payment and payment batches having a way to copy the amount that is not formatted so that it can be pasted directly into bank payment amount fields. At the moment the value is formatted with commas "1,200" which cannot be copied directly to a bank payment page.

  10. Being a start-up company we claim R&D refund as part of our tax return. In order to support R&D activities we need to work out employee remuneration and hours to support our claims. Currently, Xero does not have any R&D reports that we can use. Hence, I am wondering whether the Tech team at Xero can include two fields (Column options) in the existing report "Payment Summary Details".

    The fields required are 1) Superannuation 2) Units (worked hours)

    Then we can export this report to work on our R&D claims. Thank you

  11. I would like to have expenses automatically itemise the receipts I expense, even if incorrect it would save so much time per receipt, if the system could read the receipt and automatically write everything into the itemisation lines also base its guessed off previous inputs and receipts.
    Or to be able to save the names of specific things that go into the accounts categories.

  12. Allow Pop-up Notes to link to added schedules in Reports

    In the layout of a Report, you can add a schedule which can be numbered and appear at the bottom of the report. When you go back to the main report and look to add a note you should be able to link to the Schedule. Currently, you can only link to text notes.

    Interestingly the text notes do get renumbered when you add a schedule but you can not add a note to reference the schedule.

  13. I do have to raise sales invoices to different clients and receive inward invoices from vendors.

    For one of them, if I want for the single contact (to whom I raise sales invoice and receive purchase invoices) to be displayed separately in financial reports as receivable / payable.

    Presently, in the balance sheet all the receivables are displayed as account receivables / payable under a single head.

    Can we group this single contact in such a way that balances are displayed as a separate contact in balance sheet and not is default group Account receivable / Payable.

    There's no way to do this in the Balance Sheet. Is there a reason the Contact Transactions reports aren't of use? Or could you explain a little more of the needs this would solve for your business? 

  14. Could there please be a facility to post journals between contacts (either supplier or customer) for example between BT Telecom and EDF energy
    Currently there is only the facility to post journals between nominal ledger codes.

    Hi Julie, could you explain a little more the scenarios in which you'd be looking to make use of a this sort of functionality?

    At present - if the transactions has originally be assigned to the wrong contact this can be edited. 

    Understanding more of the use case may help us find another solution for you here, although I don't want to be open that we don't have plans for enabling transfers between contacts. 

  15. Our firm would like to utilize file storage within Xero for our clients, but we have a few suggestions based on how we use our current platform for files. We would like to see that the person uploading a document to the files can lock the document so that other users cannot delete it (i.e. minute book), that the documents stored in the files are live (i.e. live spreadsheets) so that items don't need to be constantly downloaded and uploaded and mass downloads for when a client is being offboarded.

  16. In our old system, before we moved to Xero, we could highlight special clients (they were a different colour). In our case, they were special because they paid their account off in instalments, instead of paying a lump sum. This made it very easy for us to separate them when we sent invoice reminders to the rest of our clients. How we have to do it in Xero now is clunky and manual. :)

  17. When I select a supplier or customer, the list of invoices start off with the date I started using xero 2013.
    Could we change this to make the most current at the top of view instead of scrolling to the bottom.
    The way I currently view is:
    Contacts, supplier, Name, view recent bills report.

  18. I want to generate a report that shows what we have been paid in the past month (as opposed to what we have invoiced). The information is in Xero already, all paid invoices are marked as such when we do the bank reconciliation, but it doesn't seem possible to run a simple report showing all payments in across a specified time period. This was a simple report in Sage.

  19. The ISO 3166 country name for "United Kingdom" is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the)", which is 58 characters. We are currently unable to use this name for our contacts as Xero throws an error (both in the UI and API).

    Please consider increasing the country name maximum length to at least 60 characters.

  20. Instalment Activity Statement - It would be good if you could add a template cover letter for quarterly instalment activity statements. I receive phone calls from client asking why they are required to lodge a BAS as the current AS cover letter is confusing and docent distinguish between the different statements.
