  1. When you've filtered to view a certain set of submitted expenses, if you click on one to review & approve, when you go back to the main page you're back to square one. Often I want to view and approve submissions in the filtered groupings to ensure there are no duplicates or the same journey is being marked the same distance etc, but can't do this without resetting the filters each time.   2. If the VAT201 report endpoint is added to the Xero API, it could save businesses doing the reconciliation for their clients and their tax returns. The report could then be saved directly to an excel document based on specific dates and this could lead to hours of time being saved for the people doing the recon.

  5. I wonder if it is possible to implement the following simple change to Hubdoc. Currently, when an invoice is downloaded from Hubdoc, the file name is complied as <supplier name><date><amount>. It would be much better to replace <amount> with an invoice number. It often happens the payment batches are being sent to authorisers outside Xero, so an ability to provide a list of sorted files would be great. It also makes an invoice search outside Xero much easier.

  6. Where there is more than one bank account in an organization, it would be very useful to be able to filter out a particular Cat Code, separately , within each bank account. Currently one gets the entire Cat Code for the entire organization, showing all the bank accounts. Also, the column "Tax" remains blank when a bank account's reconciliations for the date selected are chosen. Please see my uploaded example of just one bank account's reconciliations, which contains every transaction, but no tax shown. It would be helpful if you could see if an attachment was uploaded - you could consider showing an Icon outside the RHS of each line., as something Every GST checker needs to do, is make sure they have the appropriate attached Invoice so they can claim the GST. In Xero, it is laborious to have to open each line and check if their is an attachment.

  8. Please could you add a 'Back to the top' button, especially on the reconcile and report pages, but every page would be useful.
    After scrolling down many line items, it would be far quicker to have this function implemented for ease.

    Thanks for sharing, Katie. We don't have any plans for adding this within Xero atm, however if working on a desktop you can use Home button on a Windows, or on a Mac you can press the Command key + Left arrow. This should help when navigating a long list such as reports like you mentioned.

  10. When syncing invoices from Joblogic to Xero, they post straight to approved status - can a feature be added so they can be posted to 'awaiting approval' to avoid dating errors on the invoices?

  11. It would be great to be able to limit the accounts that show based on whether they have a value that is not 0. This would be useful for PAYG Payable, Superannuation Payable, Suspense accounts etc.

    Instead of a long list of accounts with 0 balances, it would allow the user to only see the account that have a value.

It would be good to have a bank feed to account transactions matching report which could show which bank feed entries have been reconciled to which account transactions without having to click into each entry. Something like the attached would be good to enable someone to spot mismatched bank entries

  13. The delivered response to my previous idea was no correct. The aged summary/detail reports only show what is outstanding.
    The report I am requesting is to show the turnover, monthly across 12 months so that we can see what we have spent with a supplier each month for that year, but also what a customer has spent with us.

    Hi Alison, while there's no direct option to group by Planned date in the Aged Payables Detail report atm, if you change Group to None, once run you can click the Planned Date column header within the report to re-order by this field and it'll group all payable invoices by Planned Date.

  17. Requesting to Xero Product Team to please update or make an option in the invoice settings that has a choice for the user to select a Tax Invoice that is UAE VAT compliant for invoicing more then AED10K. Please see attached screenshot to please enable xero invoicing's column to enable the VAT Amount and Sub Total in the Tax Invoice which our clients require and to reduce us from doing manual invoice in the excel that is a redundant work to do.   19. When creating a new Invoice and you want to add some billable expenses that you have assigned to the contact in the Bills section, I want to be able to give my clients an itemized bill, the new invoicing option is defaulted to add all items as one line.
    We default to all invoices as itemized, Yes I can select this as an option but would like the ability to select the other as the default option.
    Maybe Xero could create a custom option cookie that would allow customers to select some default settings that make there Xero work better…

  20. I just started using this program and the ability to close the left-hand menus is needed, at minimum the ability to adjust the column width.

    When the "Folders" and "Docs" menus are both open constantly with no way of adjusting them, I lose almost 1/2 the screen.

    The webpage is basically broken up into 4 columns, yet there is no way to adjust any of them for a better user experience or easy viewing of documents. Currently it is impossible to view all of the information needed for individual docs without moving the document around a bunch. It's a very…
