Reporting - Option to exclude specific account codes
Can we please have the option to EXCLUDE fund codes from I&E reports rather than include? We add new fund codes regularly and with 17 schools this means I need to edit the layout of so many reports each month. If we could simply exclude the ones we don't want I would not need to edit the layouts

Account transactions report - Accounts filter or bulk select account type
Give us the ability to run transaction reports by Account groups (ie: Balance Sheet, P&L) so we don't have to go clicking a bunch of accounts. It would make life much easier.

New Invoicing - Hyperlink Contact to go directly to the contact record
The company name used to be a hyperlink to take you back to the contact main page when you are viewing an invoice. Now it gives you a summary box of the company address - really dont see the value of this change. It has introduced yet another change to the flow of work that creates more clicks per action. You cant get out of the invoice unless you use the browser back button or Control-enter on the company name (twice) to open a new tab of the contact. 1 voteThanks for sharing, Sally. This pop up that appears when clicking on the contact is the contact card. While not a lot of information is held here atm our team are looking into developing that out to show and enable users to edit more of their contact information without having to leave the invoice.
Appreciate this does add an extra click into the contact card before you can go across to the contact record and we'll leave the idea here open to gather interest in a one click option directly. If there's any change we'll update you on this here.

New organisation setup - Global chart of accounts
If we are running multiple companies, can we not get option to have global chart of accounts, that all entities have to use / can select which entities the global chart of accounts apply to?

Bills not assigned to Projects report - Option to not show Description/text-only lines
Currently, bills show up in the report "Bills not assigned to Projects" if there is any line on the bill that is not assigned to a Project. This includes data-only text or description lines with neither quantity nor value. The screenshot attached shows the report; the bill with details showing has one of these nil-quantity nil-value lines - all the line items on that bill with either value or quantity have been assigned to the relevant Project.

Inventory Item Summary report - Include Unit & Average price
Reporting - Inventory - Sales by Item
The old report has features the new Inventory Item summary report does not have.
ie: Current unit price and Average Price.
Please add these as columns to be selected in the new report.

Global Pay Run - Treat created bills as regular bills
When you finish a pay run, the payslips and bills related to tax authorities are created like bills, but are not. You can view these faux bills as other bills, but you can't batch pay by cheque payslips nor will the bills sync with other softwares like a payables platform such as Plooto. This prevents the automated workflows created around bills from being used on pay runs.

Contacts - View suppliers and customers at the same time
I would like to be able to see Customers and Suppliers on the top bar, without having to first go into contacts, this would make looking up customers or suppliers easier with less delay. I often select the wrong one in error and then it takes even longer.

NZ Payroll - Include draft pay runs in Payroll History reports
Have an option to include Draft Pay runs in the Pay History report.
When working with clients, we want to send a custom report to them to show them the current pay run vs prior pay runs. We do this through exporting data in to excel and manipulating the data to run a report - but there is no way to do this without posting the pay run, running the report, and then reverting the pay run to draft.

BNZ Direct Bank feeds - Add extra instructions during set up
When clients are activating new BNZ Direct Bank feeds for new Bank a/cs from Xero, many are getting caught out accidently adding into Xero other BNZ bank a/cs listed on BNZ online because they are not specifying the don't connect option for other bank a/cs that are not related to their business. If they don't select any option for other listed bank a/cs, these Bank a/cs get auto set up with a bank feed in the Xero they are currently logged into.

The report does not total amounts of “excluded transactions” from the report of less than $600 transactions

Reporting - Run the Bank Reconciliation Report in Accrual basis
Many companies operate based on accrual and not cash. It should be possible to show accrual basis in all reports, most specifically the bank reconciliation report.

Projects - Value remaining to be linked to cost not on-billed charge
When you estimate an expense in Projects so that you can track that expense against what you budgeted for it, and tell Projects that you'll be on-charging at a particular rate, Projects tracks the progress of expenses incurred against the revenue expected. It should be tracking the progress of actual expenses against the estimated cost of that expense.
In the screenshot I've attached, you can see that the expected total cost of the expense I'm tracking is $202,702.50 and I have so far used $140,257.52 of that. It should show that there is $62,444.98 remaining in the budget for this…

Bills - Capture energy usage data when inputting utility bills
Capture energy usage data such as electricity kwH and gas MJ, or actual CO2 emissions when inputting utility bills. This would be beneficial for SMEs who may need to calculate carbon emissions - increasingly being asked for this by larger clients with net zero targets and/or are calculating their Scope 3 emissions.

Chart of accounts - Enable payments in bulk
Enable payments to a GL account.
It would be awesome if there was a quicker way to enable/disable payments to an account. Or have an additional column on the COA so it's easy to see which have payments enabled. Alternatively, be able to run a report on this.1 voteHi Lauren, you could export the Chart of accounts to be able to view which accounts have 'Yes' in the 'Enable Payments column. It's also possible to import this option in bulk, however I'd highly recommend doing a test in the demo company to ensure this'll work as you intend when importing back into the organisation.

Bills - Open the search for items when using Tab
When editing an item and after filling the cost price if TAB is pressed the highlighted field is the "Purchase account" but it's "closed".
To input any character the space bar needs to be pressed and then search is available.
I suggest that the search should be immediately available as it will not cause any issue if we want to leave it as is and continue to the next field.

Item Summary report - Show/Group by the transaction sales/revenue account
Currently the Item Summary report when grouped by Sales Account, groups by the sales account listed on the individual inventory items. If like us, you sell inventory across different revenue accounts i.e. product lines, then it does become a bit frustrating not being able to group the sales of inventory based on the revenue account the transaction was recorded against.
The Inventory Item Details report does use the transaction account when grouping in contrast to the summary report which feels odd.

Navigation - add Custom Reports to Accounting menu
I have lots of Custom Reports, more than can be made into Favourites. Can you please add Custom Reports to the Accounting menu to enable direct access to this report area? Thanks
1 voteWe're re-opening this idea. Although it's possible to favourite reports to add them to the Accounting menu, there is a limit to the number of reports that can be favourited. This idea is to have a separate item in the menu specifically for Custom reports - not something we have plans for at this stage but we'll gauge the interest from users of this here.
