  1. Cost analysis by group type, e.g. we have a group for DD suppliers. It would be useful to analyse how much we spend by group over a set period. We are looking at setting up other groups soon so this would be very helpful.

  2. We need to be able to export SAFF (ATO super compliant files) to Superannuation clearing houses. I am unable to upload a file as Xero is not SAFF compliant.

  3. Can we have both CIS deducted by clients and CIS that we deduct from sub-contractors on the P32 report. I use the P32 to tell me what I need to pay across to HMRC but then have to do a separate calculation for CIS that I've deducted from subbies. The way Xero handles CIS deductions from sales invoices is difficult enough already!

  4. Transactions posted after a period end affecting prior periods

    Lock dates had not been set and as a result, there has been a few entries in to the last financial year.
    How can I locate these entries?

    I have tried a transaction report, but there are no parameters that I could enter.
    Ideally.

    Example -
    Our year end is 31st August.
    I would like a report that looks for transactions entered between dates 1/4/22 - 21/9/22 that have a transaction date up to 31.8.21 (last year end)

    Hi Kellie, you might find History & notes useful for getting the insight you're after here. 

    Though it's not possible to filter by the transaction date - You can set a date range like you've mentioned to view activity that has occurred post your orgs year end and ability to filter by Item types so you just view the item types you're interested in.

  5. Xero Payroll - Bank payment details - is currently restricted to BSB & Account Number.

    This needs to be expanded to allow for PayID details as more and more employees utilise this.

  7. Find & Match function under Bank Reconciliation only allows to search for individual invoices to then pick invoices one by one. Please introduce the option to enter multiple invoices in the search field using a delimiter to then pick multiple invoices to reconcile. This would improve the reconciliation process materially.

  8. An Information message to advise implications of editing the "Account Type" when posting a bill for a Fixed Asset.
    "If an approved bill or spend money transaction is edited, and the account code is changed to one with a Fixed Asset account type - a draft asset won't be created". ie- it does not automatically update the transaction to include the item on the fixed asset schedule. Unless the item is manually added to the fixed asset register, it will not be included in subsequent depreciation runs.

  10. Xero to copy billable expense lines when copying a bill or entering a new bill using 'add last items'. At the moment, the nominal lines and split detail are copied but if each line has previously been allocated to a customer as a billable expenses, this is not copied and needs re-entering line by line.

  11. Recommendation for the Payslips: Can Xero add some features on the payslips to include employer PAYE Reference. This is quite an important element, and most of the other payroll software provides this information.

    Also, can Xero include some options to include some colour in the payslips, such as changing the grid area to blue colour

Given that there is already a link between Pay Runs and Timesheets, it would be very helpful if the Pay run could recognise what days have time entered on the timesheet then it would recognise if an employee worked on a Public Holiday and then by default record 1.5 times and add the lieu day to alternative holidays.
    This is something that my clients miss regularly as they expect Xero Payroll to do this for them.

  16. On an invoice search from 'All' or 'Paid' Invoices - it would be useful to able to select any or all invoices, and see the £ total of the items selected. This function exists in the Invoices 'Awaiting Payments', and 'Drafts'. On the 'Paid' invoice section, you can select the invoices but it does not show you the total £, only number of items selected. From the 'All' section there is no ability to select any invoices. It would be great if in all sections where you wanted to you can select any / all invoices and it calculates the…

  20. Please reinstate the ability to create a sales invoice directly from the file library and have the file attached. This function was bafflingly removed in 'new' invoicing for sales yet the ability to create all the other types of transactions directly from file library was retained. This is a critical function when dealing with multiple BCIs (buyer created invoices) every month. Often the BCI file name does not include the customer name so requires opening the file in file library as well as creating the new sales invoice since files cannot be attached & viewed within the sales invoice until…
