  1. Currently there is no discount field on the credit note form which creates a fundamental flaw in the xero system. If you look at the attached invoice report you will notice that all credit note entries have no amounts in the discount column even though they all have discount. This overstates the discount amount when you calculate the total discounts because there are no discount credit amounts to correct the discount. We recommend adding a discount section to the credit notes form to correct this as the report is incorrect without this.

  2. New Invoicing My issue is that when an Invoice has been amended after it has been sent. I have found that currently the tick is still in the box as Sent . I think it should not be ticked until the amended invoice has been emailed again. I sent it twice to a customer Also The History and Notes on that Invoice Show it was updated but not emailed straight after I edited it. Anyone else having issues with this?? Maybe I should log a support call for it. If so let me know

    Thanks for your idea and feedback, Maria. I'm just checking in with the team on the history for the send in the second part of your post here.

    In terms of the sent box being ticked. This is automatically ticked when the invoice is initially sent and does not change when an invoice is subsequently edited. Appreciate this might be something that would help your processes and I've slightly amended the title of the idea for this.

    While we don't have any plans for this right now, we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this, here.

  3. We run multiple branches out of one Xero ledger. We find the income and expenses by contact report very handy to track sales data, however it would be much more useful if we were able to filter by tracking catagory (for our instance we track branch locaiton).

  5. To be able to file a Gross to Net report and subtotal by tracking category. It's the only way that we would be able to report per category of worker. This is built into Sage and really important for a lot of businesses.

  7. VAT 126 - small local authorities can reclaim all VAT. To do so they need to submit a 126 schedule, which is not currently available within Xero. The problem is that the supplier's VAT number cannot be included in transaction reports.
    The ability to produce the VAT 126 schedule would make Xero a very good option for the many parish and small town councils.

  8. Automatically provide the audit certificate for e-signatures applied in Document Packs. At the moment, you need to contact Xero Support to obtain the audit certificates, which often takes days, when you generally need these things urgently

  9. When a revalued asset is created (e.g. roads in a local government authority), it is essential that a revalued accumulated depreciation is also able to be added at the same time. This is a basic accounting requirement for councils when they revalue their various infrastructure assets.

  10. Batch payments - details don't copy over into right hand columns when doing batch payments . I have raised this with Xero and they have indicated that never been raised with them before . Has anyone found a quick solution to this?

  11. Permanent inventory item on a specific invoice template

    For example, we are an automotive repair shop
    If I was to have a specific invoice template for 'vehicle servicing' and would like every service invoice to come up with Sundries and Freight automatically

    This would be a great way to save time as well as making sure everything is being charged out correctly

    Hi everyone, thanks for your interest in the idea here. While we don’t have immediate work planned for adding the ability to enable permanent items within an invoice template, as mentioned in my last update an option for now would be to create a 'dummy' contact that you could create invoices for and leave in a draft status. When you want to use that invoice as the template you can then use the copy to option.

    On a separate note, our teams are doing some more discovery to better understand our invoicing users and we wanted to engage you all here. 

    As we continue to plan further developments within invoicing, our product teams would like to better understand our invoicing users for future improvements. If you'd be interested in giving your input, we’d appreciate your feedback and have a survey here ✍️that will just take a few mins to fill…

  12. Not being able to enter an item # in quotes: This is a bad flaw in your software for people selling services and should be fixed. I People doing custom project services will not want to create new "products" every time they do a custom quote, they just want to add Item 1, 2, 3 and start typing work description

  13. Thank you for adding the ability to show both invoicing and delivery addresses on an invoice.

    Please may you add the same functionality to the quotes? And as a follow on, if this option is selected at the quote stage, continue this onto the invoice as well when it is created.

  14. The attached 'Supplier Statement' report has been 'retired'. Please consider reinstating this in Xero. We buy in euro and for financial audit purposes at every year end we need to issue this report. There is now nothing like this on Xero which makes no sense as we can't report without a mass of manual work to make a report outside of Xero.

  18. I'd like the ability to delete a super fund from an Employee's Employment tab where they originally had two super funds operating in parallel, and then closed one of their accounts. Currently the obsolete super fund can not be deleted, and can only be updated, which means you end up with two of the same super funds in the employment tab.
