Reporting - 'Select all' option on the Account Transactions Report when Search is used
It would be great if when you use the search field to search for a name/description, if there was an option to 'select all' of the searched items. I often search for a description and then have 10-15 account codes I want to view, but i have to tick them all individually. A select all button would be amazing!
There is already a select all / deselect all option but only when there is no description searched.11 votes -
Files - Ability to send documents to cloud storage from Xero Files
Ability to push files that’s uploaded in Xero Files to cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, and Sharepoint).
Purpose: Users can easily store/keep their files that they’ve uploaded in Xero into their own cloud storage. Especially when they have many documents that exceed the limit of Xero Files.
11 votesHi team, though we appreciate the use you'd find in being able to connect or send Xero Files to your cloud storage we want to be open that this isn't in our short terms plans.
We're keen to keep getting an understanding of interest in the capability, and will share if there are any updates or progress of this, here.

Malaysia E-Invoicing - Two columns to show when validated versus viewed
Regarding the Invoice interface on the Sent Column, perhaps can Xero make it into two instead? One is for the Validated E-Invoicing & the other one is for customer. The reason is now, when we send to MyInvoice, every thing has become "viewed" instead. So now I don't know whether my customer did view or not.
I also suggest the MyInvoice under the Sent column, once the e-invoice validated, can it changed to "validated" instead of "viewed"? Like that we do not need to open another tab at the History and Notes to look up for it.
10 votesHi Maggie, we're grateful for you sharing the changes that could make a difference for you and using eInovicing with Xero. This isn't something we have immediate plans for but we'll continue to watch the community support your idea gains here and share if there are nay changes planned. Thanks

Xero Me - Ability to reconcile credit card account for expenses
It is impossible to us the credit card bankfeed function and allow for the credit card user to account for these expenses in Xero Me.
Solution: allow for credit card transactions to pull through into Xero Me via automatic sychronisation. This should provide a more streamline approach to recordinng individual company card expenditure, remove time in reconciling missing receipts and remove duplication.10 votes -
Global Pay run
Xero should not get rid of global payrun it is a very useful feature that will make things more difficult for small businesses
10 votesHi team, we appreciate our customers that have been using our Global Pay Run feature, however we cannot extend use of Global Pay Run past 23 July 2025.
To make sure you have access to your pay run data after the product is removed from Xero on 28 April 2026 we must have enough time to archive and store it.
We’ve been offering Pay Run to our Global Edition customers since 2011 to provide basic payroll functionality. However, over the years, we’ve focused our efforts on making solutions available which offer enhanced features and a deeper integration with the Xero platform, such as Xero payroll in AU, UK and NZ and other solutions available in the Xero App Store. These solutions allow you to complete your payroll and accounting all in one place. By transitioning to these enhanced solutions such as Xero payroll, you'll benefit from improved accuracy, compliance,…

Permissions - Give Invoice Only users access to Send/Print for approved invoices
Invoice Only User SHOULD have access to "send and print" feature once the Purchase Order were approved. To address this concern, a user should have an access level of Invoice Only + Purchases, however, changing the permission to this level, the inputs made by other users, which might be confidential and unnecessarily to be seen by others, are compromised. I would like to request to add this feature (send and print) for the Invoice Only users.

Expenses - Chart of accounts list
Need to ability to limit the list of accounts for each user and then allow the approver to have access to all chart of accounts to re-assign the expense.
Staff don't understand accounts requirements to be able to choose the correct account.
Also need to make it simple for users.10 votesHi community, thanks for supporting this idea for Xero Expenses.
While there isn't currently a way to limit the Chart of Accounts for individual users, there is a way to shorten the list of accounts for all staff who submit expenses - you can find out more about this on Xero Central.
This may help streamline your processes, while this idea is still open for support from other community members.

Reports - Option for All time / All dates to view all transactions
We need to be able to select "All Dates" on a report. ex. I want to see a report for a certain account from the start of my business to the current date. now I need to select beginning date and then todays date and the update.
10 votesThanks for sharing this great idea for improving efficiency in reports.
For anyone looking to achieve this now, you can view transactions across all time by selecting a custom date range in your reports. By setting the start date to your organisation's first transaction date and the end date to today, you can get a full historical view of your data.
We see the value in your suggestion to add a preset 'All Time' or 'All Dates' option, which would make this process a faster, one-click action.
To align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas, we've updated the status of this idea here. We encourage everyone who would find this feature useful to keep voting and sharing comments. Learning more about the specific reports you'd use this for and how it would help your business helps our product team understand the potential impact.

AU Payroll - Access to payroll reports when downgrading subscription
You should allow current subscription holders the ability to create reports on all of their data. At the moment if you stop employee staff and therefore downgrade your subscription, XERO removes all payroll reports. So when you need to print a report you cannot without changing your subscription to include payroll again, even they you don't need to pay employees. It costs you a 30 day subscription to print one report. This is a big fault and something I can do in MYOB. Please fix this madness.

AU Payroll - Changes in Employee Superfund ABN, USI number etc
AU - Compulsory Employee Super When a Employee Superfund changes ABN, USI number, merges with another fund.
The only solution at moment is to export the employee data into a file and save it. Then deactivate the Superfund. The problem is if you have a query on these past transactions you cannot do it through Xero. If you a subjected to an audit you cannot generate report for the data prior to the date of the changes made to the super fund. If you have been through an audit this creates a lot of work. Also, if you lose this…

Customer Statements - Consolidated statements for a group of Contacts
We have dozens of parent companies with underlying subsidiaries who place separate orders for separate locations, all under the parent company's credit line/name. These all split into different contacts in Xero when they come in from our order processing system. We need Xero to support hierarchies/parent-child relationships/nested orders, so that all purchases can be aggregated to the parent company, both for tracking overall credit use and for sending consolidated statements that include all purchases from all "children". We work with BigCommerce who has a BundleB2B feature that allows these kind of parent-child hierarchies on the client-facing side, but we can't…

New Invoicing - one click tracking fill from contact default
On classic invoicing, when you click the account category space or the tracking category it would fill in from the contact default, or account default or some default. But on new invoicing it only fills in if you tab.
10 votesThanks for the added detail, Becky. This is good to know when sharing back with the team. While this may be something we look closer at down the line, I want to be open that we don't have direct change planned in the near term.
Understand it's a few more clicks at present, potentially to save tabbing 8 time clicking on the Tax Rate column and then tabbing once may save a little time atm. Completely get it's not a resolve though.
Account Team - Is it possible that this would be when you're copying an invoice to a new draft invoice? If so, and you select the same Contact defaults aren't automatically applied and you'd need to remove and re-add the contact on the new draft invoice to trigger defaults to be applied. Otherwise, I'd recommend raising a case with our team of specialists for a closer look as…

Budget - Select multiple tracking options when creating budget
Selecting Multiple tracking Categories in one Budget
I work in an NPO and we have a very complex system, we have 4 departments and in our department we work on many different projects which run over different year periods. we also have donors that donate to more than one project with donations overlapping financial year periods.
we have created two tracking categories, Projects and Donors. Under each category there is multiple options, For example Marketing team - school project and marketing team University project.
We would please like to be able to 1 create budget for each department by selecting…
10 votesHi team, if I understand correctly it sounds like you'd like to create a Budget that consists of multiple options within a single tracking category? Atm, it is only possible to create a filtered budget by one option within each tracking category.
It's not something we have plans for atm, however I'll slightly rename your idea here and we'll get a sense of the interest from the community in this.

New invoicing - Untick sent when invoice is edited
New Invoicing My issue is that when an Invoice has been amended after it has been sent. I have found that currently the tick is still in the box as Sent . I think it should not be ticked until the amended invoice has been emailed again. I sent it twice to a customer Also The History and Notes on that Invoice Show it was updated but not emailed straight after I edited it. Anyone else having issues with this?? Maybe I should log a support call for it. If so let me know
10 votesThanks for your idea and feedback, Maria. I'm just checking in with the team on the history for the send in the second part of your post here.
In terms of the sent box being ticked. This is automatically ticked when the invoice is initially sent and does not change when an invoice is subsequently edited. Appreciate this might be something that would help your processes and I've slightly amended the title of the idea for this.
While we don't have any plans for this right now, we'll begin to get a sense of the interest in this, here.

Income and expenses by contact - Filter using tracking category
We run multiple branches out of one Xero ledger. We find the income and expenses by contact report very handy to track sales data, however it would be much more useful if we were able to filter by tracking catagory (for our instance we track branch locaiton).

eInvoicing - Ability to use for non VAT registered businesses
Massive oversight by Xero.
E-Invoicing only available to VAT registered companies as you have to enter a VAT number. What about all the non-registered companies?
Why can't you select that you aren't VAT registered and be able to benefit by E-Invoicing?10 votesHi everyone, we appreciate interest from non-VAT registered businesses that would like to make use of the efficiencies eInvoicing brings.
As the UK do not have a standard business number, this create complexity in being able to identify and register non-VAT registered businesses on the Peppol network.
While this is an idea that we'd like to continue to gain interest from our community in, we want to be upfront we don't have any plans to support eInvoicing for non-VAT registered businesses in the near term.
We're actively advocating for this with the UK Government as part of their recent e-Invoicing consultation.

Draft Invoice: Warning message
Hi Team, my query is about Draft Invoices. Is there any chance of having a 'Stop do you want to proceed' when it comes to a draft invoice being sent instead of the actual Invoice? I was convinced that I had approved a draft invoice, yet when the email was sent, it was not the Invoice as per the subject reference, but the draft. Embarrassing to say the least.
Just that extra step would be very helpful. Not the first time it has happened to us. Thank you,10 votes
