  1. Move the Delete button away from preview in files attached to contacts.
    So many times, I have accidently deleted files attached to contacts. The delete button is right next to the preview. There is no way to restore once deleted..

  4. It shouldn't be so difficult to assign expenses to customers or projects, an expense or spend money item shouldn't need to be edited to add it to a customer or project.
    Simplifying this process could be as simple as an extra column that can be enabled on the Account Transactions view and if a transaction isn't assigned to a project or expense then it can be simply clicked in the column and the customer or project selected.
    Additionally Bank Rules should be able to include the option to assigned to customers or projects, if we have a client that charges…

  5. To allow default settings for individual invoice templates. For example rather than set a default due date or currency for ALL invoices, allow individual invoice templates to be set there own due date timeframes , ie 7 days or immediate payment terms and also the same for currency.

    The more standardised we can make our templates, the less likelihood of user error.

  6. Set a particular contact field (e.g. account number) as a mandatory field, so that an invoice cannot be issued without that field having been added to the customer account.

  10. would be so much easier if the only amounts that show on the GST late file reports are amounts where the GST treatment has ACTUALLY changed. doing something as simple as changing a code in a filed period can create hundreds of pages of "late claim" adjustments but they are just in and out entries..... this also makes it harder to determine which entries have actually changed.

  12. It would be a great addition to be able to allocate employees to a particular employee group and from this run historical employee summary reports by employee.

    At present when setting up tracking categories the tracking in employee reports will only track payruns once the employee groups are setup. Any historical payruns are not included. This makes it difficult to compare periods or look at employee group reports for the year to date.

    There should be an ability to apply the employee grouping tracking to all or some of the historical payruns.

  16. Currently fixed asset reports have to be run separately and there is no ability to add these into an existing report like the notes to the financial statements. It is reasonably standard to include a table in the notes that summarises cost, depreciation charged, accumulated depreciation and net book value for both the current year and the year prior.

    Requesting the functionality to pull this data from Xero into a report, rather than either having to run two separate fixed assets reports (one for each year) or a manual table where figures are typed in and manually added.

  17. Fixed asset schedules are pretty standard and the information we need to include is pretty standard.

    The current functionality in Xero does not allow columns to be group together so we get a fixed asset schedule report with a lot of columns that is quite wide and squished up.

    This idea is to add functionality to allow columns to be added together i.e. additions and disposals, depreciation rate and method, to condense the report and allow a more polished version to be created for included within annual financial statements.

  18. I'd like the Reconcile pages to allow me to select some all of my bank accounts to display. This would aggregate the unreconciled statement lines and display them all in date order to be reconciled all the same time.

    Reason 1: Convenience. I use several bank accounts and would prefer to reconcile all of the transactions in one go.

    Reason 2: Error reduction. The most common error I see relating my clients' bank balances is their misuse of Transfer (setting the wrong account, using it for accounts that aren't linked etc.). If they could see both accounts and therefore both…

  19. Payroll UK Student Loans
    Some employees can have Plan 1 and 2 at the same time. At present Xero payroll can only deal with 1 plan. The option should exist for an employee to select more than 1 Plan and the correct deductions be made.
    This is how repayments are allocated between Plan 1 and Plan 2 loans
    For the 2023/24 tax year the repayment thresholds are as follows:
    • Plan 1 loans: £22,015
    • Plan 2 loans: £27,295
    If you earn below £22,015 you will make no loan repayments.

    Just checking if you're referring to Custom Pay Items, which are already available in Xero Payroll.
