User Role - Access to Products & Services (Inventory) and Purchases/Sales only
Ability to allow individual access to inventory(products & services) and sales in Xero.
Purpose: Enable ability to view different sets of information within an org.

I really wish I could delegate inventory to one of my staff members but I cant because in order for her to have access to change inventory but I cant see how to do this without her being able to see profit and loss reports and balance sheets etc.
Is there a way to give her inventory access only?

It is staggering that Xero don't respond to this. If there is a reason that this can't be added then just explain, or give the updates Kelly Munro has promised. I think Xero is great in so many ways but this is forcing us to look elsewhere as we want to grow.

Our firm no longer recommends Xero for anyone who requires multi level user access. We have moved on because Xero has failed to.
Saying it would be a nice add on feature instead of referring to it as a critical flaw in their software, shows their development team simply don't understand how organisations actually work. -

I still can't believe this hasn't been resolved.
The response from Kelly Munro seems to be a generic answer.
If Xero did stock holding, and needed staff to make adjustments to the stock, I'm sure this would have been resolved by now. I don't believe for a second that the senior managers and directors at Xero would want all the staff seeing the bank balance.The thought of having to move to another software platform isn't great but I think Im going to have to vote with my feet because Xero just doesn't seem to be interested in getting this resolved.

any update on this ?
i am tired of every time need to pull AR / AP ageing , inventories report as and when colleagues needed. And tire of answering others queries related to inventory as they don't have access to the "products and services" , they unable to zoom into individual stock items to see why there is error on the qty / value.

come on xero how much longer are we going to have to wait for this to be sorted out. There are many other platforms that can do this and we like many,many others are looking to change because you are making no effort to sort this problem out.

Also if you look to the left of this panel you will see the totals of suggestions. over 6000! What does that say?

Yes its the apparent (to Xero) little things but big things (customer), that can gradually erode their market share. Competitors will be alert and fill the gap over time. Trouble is when you get too big for your boots, you lose sight of the little things.

Wow, if my companies customer service was like this we would have folded big time by now. You're getting a reputation amongst your clients Xero. Maybe MYOB brings out a new solution and whacko - you lose 25% of your clients overnight.
We need our staff to work with products and services and NOT see our financials. Clear as day.

Ok, it's been over 10 yrs for me as a Xero user and this is just a roadblock now. We need staff to be able to access transactions without being able to see all company financial information. How can xero completely ignore this many requests for this long? Not even a basic update? To be frank, our team is already looking to off-board to a different platform if there's no update this year.
