New invoicing | View contact address
Can the new invoicing template show address like the classic invoicing template does?
Classic invoicing - Shows company address and the person it is addressed to (Attention:) when viewing the invoicing from our end
New Invoice - Only shows the company name and to check if the address is correct and if the person it is addressed to is correct you have to click on Edit or download it as a pdf to verify it.

Hi team, with our latest updates to new invoicing you're now able to see your contacts address if they have one saved when viewing the invoice.
Appreciate the question around being able to edit the address and to confirm - you'll find in view mode you can click on the contact to view the contact card. If you'd like to edit the address click the small link in the top right of the contact card. This'll pop the contact open in a separate browser tab where you can edit and add a billing and/or delivery address. 🙂

Yes it’s important to be able to see the customers address details in both the invoice and quotation fields as if you have customers with the same surnames it’s impossible to find the one you are surching for.

When you say the product team are working on this, are they just going to make the address visible, or will we be able to change it in the same way as we can do with classic invoicing?

I love the ability to add a new contact from the new invoice screen but it leaves out key fields (like contact first name) so you end up still having to go back in to contacts to edit the details which ends up taking more time than if you'd just done that in the first place.

Couldn't agree more, why do xero insist on improving the system by taking existing things away? This is so important to us in our 3 Orgs too.

Yes, seeing the full address is absolutely essential and one of the primary reasons we've been unable to switch away from "classical invoicing". We shouldn't be forced to switch to new invoicing with this basic functionality removed.

This is time wasting for me as I like to be personal when sending the invoices not just the company name, also Attention: to the person changes sometimes even in the same company which was easy before.. Can that feature be put back to show all the details so we dont have to search each time. Regards Paula Finucane

I'd like this as well. My customers are very sensitive to the address shown on the invoice, and often reject invoices that are addressed to the wrong facility or subsidiary (even though the invoices themselves are emailed). I'd like to be able to easily verify that the address matches the purchase order I'm invoicing against. Thanks!
