Invoicing - Remove 'Powered by Xero' in Footer of emails
Remove 'Powered by Xero' Advertisement on the footer invoice emails (only recently added)
Hi everyone, appreciate this topic has picked up momentum in the last couple of months since “Powered by Xero” was first introduced to our invoice emails.
Our product team have been working through the next iteration of the invoice email. They’ve reviewed feedback about this email from multiple sources and are planning some changes to address some of the concerns, in particular that the purpose of this feature is for marketing and advertising purposes. This feature was developed, designed and implemented will the sole intention of increasing trust with the invoice emails we generate inside the Xero platform. The data after delivering this has shown that it does just that, increasing engagement with your invoice emails and ultimately getting you, our customers, paid faster.
Therefore the “Powered by Xero” footer will remain in place, however we will be reducing its size, better integrating it into a redesigned email experience and removing the hyperlink to Xero.com.
This new email experience is focussed on uplifting our invoice experience to meet expectations from you and your customers to provide a professional, informative and modern experience. This new experience will be coming to New Invoicing first and then to our other invoicing tools like Reminders in the coming weeks.

I'd like to pre-emptively opt out of ever getting the V2 email experience, on behalf of all my clients, if the V2 experience comes with non-client advertising embedded in it.

This could be different for different locations. I have contacted Xero and was advised that a new version of the email template with a smaller version of the Xero logo is coming live "I've heard back from our Product team, and they've mentioned that this V2 email experience will be rolled out to New Invoicing users in the coming weeks and to Classic invoicing users later this quarter.".

This is ridiculous for a paid subscription. Would make sense if it was a free tier, but this is paid. This needs to be removed. You wouldn't think it, but this is a reason to leave Xero.

ha ha ha - this is like watching a slow moving train smash!!! Every day the resentment keeps on piling in and the 'wise people' of Xero keep believing they are 'on track' and have done the right thing... Xero needs to go back and read business 101...quality products, competitive pricing and exceptional service...

If you send a support message they will remove it. They will initially reject you but if you get angry and demand to be escalated to a supervisor they will do it. Its a pity that you have to this but Xero's support and overall wilful ignorance of its customers, it is what it is.

Please remove this advert from the footer of our emails, it is incompatible with our organisation's brand usage and puts us off continuing to use Xero.

We pay for this service why are we being used to provide free advertising for Xero?

Please REMOVE all "Powered By Xero" in my communications to our customers. This was never approved and should not be an automatic feature for paying customers like us.

Support made me comment here and screenshot it so they would remove this advertising from our emails. They also told us we would not receive email improvements for the next 6 months. Very strange...
---
A "Powered by Xero" branding footer started appearing on our emails (orders, invoices, etc). This was added without notice and I do not want to be forced to advertise your product when I pay for it and you still haven't fixed universal searching of line item text.I tried to follow the instructions that appeared in the support page. It said to edit the templates to remove all references of "Powered by Xero", however this isn't in the template. I'm assuming it's something that's being added by your system.
This should be a simple checkbox option that is opt-in. Please remove this and ensure it doesn't return.

I have not consented to providing advertising for Xero on my business communications. This is an absurd change for a paid service and it is completely unacceptable. If it's not changed then we will be changing service provider for our 2 companies.

If you manually contact support, they'll remove it - they'll ask for a screenshot of your comment here for some unknown reason.
And it'll take 3-4 working days, but does look to now be removed from our account.

What an absolutely dumpster fire you idiots have created. Time to start looking elsewhere for my business as you clearly spend your time doing stupid stuff like this rather than make the core product better.

Being new to Xero, I have generally enjoyed the experience. But this cannot more than a line of HTML in an email footer template - hardly challenging.
Alternatively, we could receive a subscription discount in recognition of our publicity services?
Apart from compromising our own corporate branding, it also conveys a degree of insecurity from Xero that this should be ever present.
It isn't regarded as a badge of pride, more what one typically expect from cheapo or freebie software.

Xero is like the free wave of accounting now.
