New Invoicing - Keep Classic Invoicing

Hi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.
Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:
- what’s available in new invoicing right now,
- timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
- a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.
We'll be updating this page regularly.
Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

The new invoicing system is much harder to use compared to the previous format, which was far more user-friendly. We are very disappointed with the recent changes, and it’s starting to make Xero less appealing as the software we want to continue using.
Can you please keep the old invoking format as an option as this is what we want.

No one wants it
And your pricing is becoming ridiculous
I'll be finding another service as soon as I can as Xero doesn't listen to it's customers.

Just keep classic invoicing, it worked. I now have multiple tabs open to send a receipt, does my head in. Tried a few times to use the new version but switch back.

New layout is still lacking majorly. Still oversized and scrolling around, still cannot use the tab plus type over features available in the old screens (i.e payments area and other edits). Still requires clicks and additional work to add payments. New invoicing is not better than the old invoicing. I am still failing to see why we are being pushed into a new product that is subpar.
How can you say that the new layout is better when we still cant even get everything on one screen when the old does it just fine?

Just had a call from Xero, after adding comments to the case I had raised about this. She is raising a complaint for me, around the new invoicing issues, including autosave not being an option yet. Not sure this will have any impact, but it might be worth everyone raising individual cases & asking them to raise a complaint. Maybe if they get hundreds of complaints they will start to get the message about not releasing something that's inferior to what it's replacing!

It takes my invoicing staff at least hour extra each week to create invoices on the new invoicing than classic due to slow loading times and inefficient layouts. I'd like that additional cost deducted from subscription premium.

Charge those who want the new invoicing a premium to use its useless additional features.
The basic classic invoicing is perfect. Xero's subscription premium has double since I've signed (so has their share price) yet I haven't used a single feature that has been added.

This 'new & improved' invoicing is so far backwards from what we currently have, i can't believe that you are still intent on forcing this abomination on to all your PAYING CLIENTELE in under a week.
To have to scroll over two pages to see the same information that I see on one at the moment. I don't need things three times the size of what they are now to be able to function through my invoicing.
It is an absolute eyesore now.And you keep telling us that you are listening to feedback....
Whose feedback?? The few users who only enter a couple of invoices a month.
How about you listen to the users who enter in multitudes on invoices EVERY DAY..... They are the ones that are most affected by these useless, time costing, changesWHAT A JOKE XERO HAS BECOME

Please listen to your loyal customers who have weathered the continual Xero price increases. It seems we are paying for something that we are being told we had asked for, and yet there are now thousands of comments saying we don't want it. Xero you have clearly lost sight of the KISS principle. -

Listen to qualified accountants who know best how invoicing should work, not programmers. We buy your products. I applaud improvements but if it aint broken don’t fix it with a new version. Classic invoicing 💪

I prefer the layout of the classic invoicing. Its easier on the eye, simple to use & not too much going on. Not sure if the new does it, but i use the xero to xero invoicing & messenging to avoid external emailing attachments & rekeying in the other entity. Too many cyber fraud issues around over manipulation of invoices via external email. I invoice between xero entities all the time for clients & related entities so this feature is a must!

Keep the Classic Invoicing - I've had PO numbers drop off the reference field and don't notice. Then customers are rejecting invoices and payments are delayed. All the things we've said are wrong with the NEW invoicing haven't been fixed and it's time consuming for us your CUSTOMER to have to do the workarounds - so why rollout when it's still got system defects. You can change your go-live date! I've been there done that!

The new invoicing is really a step backwards and like most users I would prefer to keep the classic invoicing. I feel the change has been made by the programmers not the users.

Please don't switch to new invoicing, it is not user friendly, it takes more time, its not appeasing to the eye, please keep old invoicing.

Keep classic invoicing as a permanent option, not everyone wants, likes or needs your new invoicing and it still does not work properly.
Xero you are not listening to your customers. :(
And all these tweaks you are making are not beneficial, it was fine the way it was.
WE DO NOT WANT NEW FEATURES - LEAVE IT ALONE

'New Invoicing' frequent autosaving creates so many entries in the invoice history & notes as to completely ruin the usefulness and purpose of the log. Now it is just noise

Dear Xero Development Staff,
I appreciate that you have a new platform for Xero, is it not possible to have classic invoicing on the new platform? Surely the new platform can cope with the classic style instead of the new style?

I'm with everyone else here: Xero, PLEASE do NOT remove the Classic Invoicing function! It is much quicker, simpler and easier to use than the new invoicing function. Have the new invoicing function available for those who wish to use it, but please keep the old invoicing function as well for those who do not wish to use the new invoicing function.
