  1. Add the tax rate % on payslips.
    At the moment the tax is automatically calculated through Xero, casual employees are wanting to know exactly what % is being taxed from their pay and not just what is deducted and called tax!

  2. Moving employees from Part-time to causal or visa versa without deleting them!

    The Solve: Just have a date range/calendar within their employee info for what classification of employee they are during that date range.
    Transitioning employees causes undue messiness of information, which is counter to the point of the software. You have 2 employees that are the same person. Which also counts towards how many employees a business has for xero pricing purposes.

  3. Currently the PPL pay item can only be allocated to an expense account.

    This is not in line with the Australian Accounting Standard.

    Can Xero update the ability to allocate to a liability account, please?

  4. pay rates rounding by 4 decimal points causing an underpayment of wages. EG: Base rate is 25.65 x 1.5 = 38.475000 but the award rate is actually 38.48. Need a solution for this ASAP.

  5. So simple but not available. To record an absence i.e. sickness (unpaid) IN DAYS and to have a simple report showing dates and number of days sick.

  7. Increase number of letters/spaces in text field boxes in employee name fields.

    Text fields for employee names are currently limited to 36 letters so my suggestion is to have an unlimited text field or increase to 50 spaces.

    I only discovered this when a new employee's last name has 40 letters so I can't accurately add his full last name. Payslips need to be downloaded and edited via a pdf editor so he has the accurate payslip for his tax and visa records.

  8. Ability in payroll to reinstate terminated employees past the 30 days Xero currently allows. Many businesses have seasonal workers or students who just work holidays, being able to reinstate the employee with all their information would be much easier than having to add them as a new employee every time they are re-employed. Most other payroll systems allow reinstatement of terminated employees.

  9. I need to report on employee timesheets against my tracking categories. For example how many hours have employees recorded against Job A, Job B, Job C etc in any given timescale. In the transaction/payroll activity report it only gives £ and not into tracking categories.

  10. Include the ability to set multiple pay cycles for the same employee. For example, wages are paid fortnightly but commissions are paid monthly. The dates are not aligned with the period if we use only one pay cycle.

  13. Id' like to see the start/stop and break times added to web version too.

    It's great that they are available on the XeroMe Mobile app, but even though Australia requires this information, I can not require staff to download a workplace app to their private phones.

    If the format was available on the web version, staff would have no choice but to supply the information.

    Hi community, our product team recently released an update to the web version for Employees. You can now see start and end times, as well as record break times!

  14. With ever changing minimum wage requirements (UK only) which are based on an employees age it would be useful to be able to have a 'one pager' report that lists the employee name and the current age. Their age is data which is already in Xero as part of the employee profile. A report would be useful to help payroll staff check who needs to move onto new wages / salaries based on age groups.

  15. Hello,

    I wanted to take a moment to share a suggestion that I believe could significantly simplify our payroll process. It involves the implementation of a bulk upload feature, which would allow us to handle payroll data in a more efficient manner. We will need a template that contains essential details for each employee. These details may include the employee's name, rate of salary, and various pay items relevant to their compensation. This would reduce the time and effort invested in processing payroll.

Include a section to enter a branch number when filing STP, we have come into an issue where a few of our clients have changed branch numbers throughout a financial year and the process of changing the branch numbers is quite time consuming. I believe if we had the option to include a branch number when filing STP data it would save a lot fo time and confusion.

    As part of our STP 2 updates, we've just released our 'Reset and finalise YTD amounts' tool. This allows you to zero out the amounts reported against the wrong ABN or Branch number and resubmit them against the correct ABN or branch number. 

    This replaces the previous process of filing negative pay runs to zero out the incorrect amounts with the ATO, and speeds up the time taken to correct your filings.

  17. Should have a warning Pop Up before posting the pay run, there are draft timesheets for that pay run.

  18. We pay our employees under the Electrical award which includes several compulsory 'All Purpose' allowances that are now reported separately as per STP2. Why are these allowances excluded from an employee's annual salary on their payslip? They used to be included as part of their base hourly rate - therefore included in their annual salary and as such, should still be included in 'annual salary'. Can you please have the option to 'include in annual salary' when setting up Allowance categories in the pay items?

  19. With audited clients , we normally only give Read only access, but this excludes payroll access. So either we need to access for them, what the require, or we need to change access level to standard , which is not idea. Can you not have a read only role, with the option to include Payroll?

  20. Hi there,

    I am using payroll manager currently for all my client payroll services, and xero does not provide reports like HMRC monthly payment, P32, I can see it but can not download it to send to my client for payment. Also no employee wage report whereby my client see all deductions/additions and pay net wage to all staffs.

    Please check this software https://moneysoft.co.uk/payroll-manager-overview/ this is far best software so far and probably all accounting practices are using it because its user friendly and provide too comprehensive report to clients and employer
