  2. The gross to net report currently doesn't include reimbursed expenses, and possibly other things we haven't found yet so the net pay doesn't agree to the payslips! Please can we have a gross to net report that agrees to payslips? Failing that even a report that shows reimbursed expenses per employee would be better than nothing.

  4. Leavers can only access payslips 14 days after leave date. 14 days is not enough time as the final pay ay not have been processed at this time. So final payslips then becomes a manual process. If P45's could also be accessed that would be great.

  5. I have multiple 2018 bills to pay generated from the US Xero Payroll feature that I can not delete nor apply credit memos to. Those were always "locked" bills. I've been trying to void or zero out these bills for years and apparently, there is no way to actually do this. I've spent hours with customer support to no avail. Please put something in place to allow users/me to accomplish this task. My AP bills are messy and my cash basis balance sheet is messy. Journal entries are not a solution as the bills will never go away using this…

    Hi team, we appreciate your input in Product Ideas and the idea shared here. Since US payroll was removed from Xero in 2019 we don't have any plans for making changes in the product for this.

    We understand it's not the ideal solution however if you have tax bills or payroll transactions that weren't marked as paid before Payroll was decommissioned, you can post manual journals to adjust the balance of the relevant accounts.

    While you can post manual journals to most accounts in Xero, there are some exceptions such as accounts payable. You'll need to use other methods to make adjustments to these account balances we have some help to guide you on this in Xero central.

  6. That Leave Liability Report is able to be exported to Excel. This would avoid double handling when I am creating graphing for the CE

  7. Add a warning feature to Xero, when a employee has (or will have) reached 75 years of age and is no longer allowed to salary sacrifice into their superannuation.

  9. Inside Xero Me, when you set your Timesheet type to "Start and end times" you can add notes for working days.

    It would be great if we could add notes when we have our Timesheet type set to "Total hours worked".

    As an employee, not being able to add a note & select an earning type is inconvenient and can cause confusion which leads to slower timesheet approvals

  10. Offering a simple update to the Xero system which would dramatically improve one grey area:

    I had a discussion with my team and it's a common topic that keeps coming up - we find it very awkward having the 'Time Off' allowance displayed in 'Hours'.

    Just like some other tracking systems, they allow you to see your 'Time Off' as 'Days' which is much easier to glance at - instead of having to continuously calculate hours, which takes time and can cause confusion on some occasions.

    Hey everyone, we've been making some changes to improve NZ Payroll for Xero users.

    If you're just getting started with Xero (from 5 August 2024) you can now set up the Sick leave entitlement date for an employee.

    We know people in the idea here are existing payroll users and we can assure you we're working to also develop this for existing customers. There are a few more intricacies to work through from what already exists to the new. I'll be back to share when there's more news on this and when you can get access to this too. Thanks

  12. Give the option of adding company sick pay entitlement, which counts towards sick leave, and then when company sick pay is exhausted, revert to SSP.

  14. Currently, when you connect your Xero login to myIR, Xero automatically files the pay run with the IRD as soon as it is posted. Unfortunately, there is no option to opt out of this automatic filing without disconnecting from myIR entirely.

    It would be much more flexible if posting and filing could be done as separate steps. While it's possible to have another user who isn't connected to myIR handle this, small businesses often rely on a single person to manage the entire payroll process.

    1. As a senior manager I want to export a report, in one operation, a table of employee name and hours left to book, I need this to chase employees who are not taking leave and know the financial risk we are carrying in the business from untaken leave e.g.

    If the employee has a leave date prior to the bank holiday it will not be added automatically. Also you have the option to include or exclude the relevant bank holiday's for the employee in their employee file.

  18. Lot of employee are working overtime. Holiday should be paid adding the Holiday Pay Adjustment. This means that overtime, certain allowances and commission plans will be included in the first 20 days of leave taken in any holiday year. To put this simply, you should be no worse off financially by taking your holiday. So if you earn commissions, claim certain allowances or work overtime these will now be considered as part of your holiday pay adjustment payment.   19. At the moment there doesn't seem to be a way to pay a monthly employee a basic monthly salary without the hourly rate changing to reflect the number of working days in the month. Please can there be an option to pay a monthly employee a basic 12th of their annual salary each month and the hours per month are set to the average of a 12th of their annual hours so that the hourly rate for overtime etc stays the same each month.

    Hi everyone, we’re pleased to share that we’ve now released working patterns to all UK organisations that use Xero Payroll.

    You can now enter more information about employees’ working patterns to support leave and earning rates calculations and save you time. You’ll be able to:

    • Create or select from working pattern templates
    • Add working patterns manually or using the template
    • Setup multiple weeks of a working pattern

    Being able to set up to 13 weeks in a template means you’ll be able to accurately reflect employees’ that may work differing hours through weeks in a month like you’re after here. We’ve shared a few videos on YouTube that’ll help guide you through the change 😊
