NZ Payroll - Report for current leave plus leave available to take in advance
A report that shows current annual leave hours, plus leave available to take in advance hours for each employee. It's very time consuming to have to calculate leave if you want to give an employee leave in advance. Using the "show leave available to take in advance" option in the employee set up tends to give the wrong balances on the employee payslip which leads to confusion.

UK Payroll - Upload HMRC notifications to employee record
We are all required to keep tax code and other notifications from HMRC for a number of years. Currently we have to do that in hard copy. It would be great to be able to upload a copy to the employee record instead.

UK Payroll - Adjust dates for holiday / statutory leave year
We should be able to adjust the holiday year to the UK tax year as that seems to be very common. ( There is already a discussion topic for this but I cannot see it on this list.
We should also be able to show holidays in days not hours.
We should be able to calculate holiday hours for employees that do not do a 5 day week. AU Payroll - Ability for timesheets to not override Pay Template
When a Pay Template has been created for an employee, only the matching Earnings Rate should be overwritten by entries in Timesheets. Any other Earnings Rates that are set up in the Pay Template should still should still be available in the Payslip - they shouldn't have to be added back in again when processing the pay run. For instance, Fares & Travel Pattern Allowance needs to be paid over and above the Ordinary Hours recorded on the Timesheet. AU Payroll - Add all employee costs to the Payslip
The real cost of an employee is not shown on the payslip, even though things like Workcover, public liability, Qleave could be shown as percentages based on no of staff over a year. Eg $20k workcover is / staff/weeks of year/hours work this week or $200000 / 16 staff / 52 weeks and 200 hours worked = 0.12c per hour. Same could be shown for Public liability, and any other costs attributable to each staff member.

NZ Payroll - Option to remove Salary Hours on Payslips
Please update to have the option of removing salary hours on payslips.
We just need the Gross Salary for that line and not the hours.
When we have employees working accross different days of the week Xero Payroll round the hours and so in our example someone on 100 hours working 11 days per fortnight, Xero Payroll rounds the Salary Hours to 99.9999 on the payslip which is close but not correct. NZ Payroll - More employee bank accounts fields
More than four bank accounts for employees: It would be helpful if we could have more than four bank accounts for employee wages to be split into. A minimum of 6 would be good as a few employees have asked for money to be split into more than four accounts.

AU Payroll - Employee Remuneration - Ability to view date employee last paid
Payroll report (or add field to existing), "date employee last paid".
We have a lot of seasonal adhoc casuals, it would be good to have a column in payroll reports showing the last pay-period they were paid in. We'd use this to off-board employees we haven't paid in a certain period of time (i.e. 12 months). AU Payroll - Display specific employee details in a draft payslip
Display employee information such as Employment Basis, Employee Group etc next to the employees name when in a draft payslip.

UK payroll - Monthly calculation based on annual salary split by 12
At the moment there doesn't seem to be a way to pay a monthly employee a basic monthly salary without the hourly rate changing to reflect the number of working days in the month. Please can there be an option to pay a monthly employee a basic 12th of their annual salary each month and the hours per month are set to the average of a 12th of their annual hours so that the hourly rate for overtime etc stays the same each month.

You can now enter more information about employees’ working patterns to support leave and earning rates calculations and save you time. You’ll be able to:
- Create or select from working pattern templates
- Add working patterns manually or using the template
- Setup multiple weeks of a working pattern
Being able to set up to 13 weeks in a template means you’ll be able to accurately reflect employees’ that may work differing hours through weeks in a month like you’re after here. We’ve shared a few videos on YouTube that’ll help guide you through the change 😊

NZ Payroll - Employee search filter in the Leave Transaction Report
would be great to be able to filter current employees when looking at Leave Transaction Report. We have many hundred old employees and have to scroll through all of them to get the individual employee.. also no search function to be able to find the employee easily

AU Payroll - Hide employee personal details for payrun
In the age of outsourcing, it is impossible to outsource pay run function to an external service provider (especially if they are based overseas) since they can view employee's personal info such as their Tax File Number, Date of Birth, Bank account Details etc.
Once the subscriber or authorized accountant/bookkeeper has created an employee card, they should be able to restrict the access of outsourced partner to just doing the pay run. The outsourced partner should be able to just view the employee name to do the pay run. This feature should restrict their ability to change bank account…

AU Payroll | Timesheet - Update time in lieu balance
The current option available for updating the time in lieu of XERO is to previously inform the fixed number of hours that will be added to the leave balance in the leave register. However, the number of hours varies each week, so I cannot predict in advance how many hours each employee will work.
My suggestion includes an automatic update from the time in lieu of using a timesheet. Thus reducing the probability of errors by entering the balance manually.

Payroll Employee Summary Report
Is there a way to have this report show the actual period the wages are for? Currently the report shows "for the period 17 April 2024 to 17 April 2024, which is the date the payroll is paid. BUT the period is actually for 10 April 2024 to 16 April 2024.

AU Payroll - History of leave requests
REQUESTING LEAVE
Firstly, when an employee is submitting a leave application, they are unable to adjust the number of hours they are taking when submitting this leave when the leave period is for more than one day. This is problematic for part-time employees that may work different hours on different days of their working week.

Also, employees used to be able to see the number of hours taken but this is no longer the case - why is this?

It's correct that currently it's not possible to enter a number of hours leave if the request spans more than a day. We have another idea that's gathering support around this and we'd urge those interested in this to join.
Similarly, we have another idea based around the permission to approve or decline leave request and provide read-only access to Payroll reports that you can support, here.
Understanding the importance around being able to see history of events in payroll, you may have noticed we've rolled out payroll history to the employee record-level and most recently you can now see a history of user activity in the Organisation, Calendars, Pay Items, Superannuation & STP Settings…

AU Payroll - Tracking/Department Coding for reports
Payroll Department Coding - to be able to put a department code on all payroll categories and report to show employee name/gross wages/department coding assigned to payroll. The only way in Xero at the moment is through timesheets but this does not allow for all payroll categories to have a department code allocated. And when producing a timesheet report it does not show the $ gross wages for each employee only the hours. Need to include coding on allowances, leave and super.
