  1. This is a glitch in the new reporting update from last year and I am surprised it has not been addressed yet. I run a monthly report on invoices paid from the prior month to determine commissions. I would use an Account Transaction Report for invoice totals.
    The current reports offer you to choose the invoice number as an option, but invoice number does not show up on the report - reference number does- but if the invoice number is not in the reference field all that shows up is 'ach'

  3. On the Xero App - Please add a field where you can add a client's VAT number on the App (not as a note or reference or description) but as a separate field in the same way you would add it on internet sign in

  4. In the Payroll software, we can only allocate Direct wages to the cost of sales. Unfortunately, that doesn't include Employer NI nor Employer Pension cost in the cost of sales.
    Such coding would be useful, as we now use Birghtpay to do such coding.
    Without this feature, the gross profit margin and overheads are incorrect.

  5. Location and time tracking, as it stands you can only enter start and finish time. Be good to have a login and logout to track worked hours in real time not just estimating. Location tracking through the timesheet would also help with when switching jobs.

  8. Can the GST Audit report print in order to match return , Ie sales at top, than expense and non GST last. rather than exporting and sorting . Usually less transactions and easier to check first. but have scroll through 100s to find.

  9. A number of my client are service businesses and as such all of the payroll costs should be posted either to a Cost of Sale account for Operational staff or Overhead for support staff. I can achieve this for all costs except for Employer NIC cost, which has to be manually moved. It would be beneficial if the NIC could go to an NIC GL dependent upon the type of basic pay chosen.

  10. Have automatic superannuation payments be able to be paid via credit card, through xero. Currently there seems to only be the ability to make automatic payment via direct debit but it would be good if it could be made by a credit card.

  11. There isn’t the ability to have a ‘reporting name’ for a bank account name on the Chart of accounts
    (. e.g. you either have to update the name in the system (problematic for live files where the client names accounts based upon their use and not in out reporting name format) or manually create a group with the correct name when drafting the financials to replace the account name.

    Appreciate it's not the ideal solution but good to hear you're aware of how you can group and rename an account through the Financial reports at present. We'll keep an eye on the interest in this, here.

  13. The new Profit and Loss report does not filter the actuals AND budget by tracking category. You have to manually add the correct tracking category budget to the report. When you have 40 plus tracking categories this becomes time consuming and silly.

    The old profit and loss report did this easily. So the new report is a major step backwards

    Ensure the filter for the new profit and loss report filters BOTH actuals and budget, so the report is easy to produce and has meaning. Do not expect users to add the correct column for budget - particularly those less…

  14. It would be extremely helpful to have a 'master' input at the top of each column of a quote / invoice / bill etc so that the master input is then auto-populated under that column heading for all line-items of the quote / invoice / bill.

    For instance, my sales code is likely to be the same for each item of a given invoice, and yet I need to input this code as many times as the number of line-items in the invoice - rather than just once. Same for eg tax code and, in my case, I have a…

  15. When raising an invoice, add the functionality to 'select all' lines, to add to assign to a Project.

    When creating an invoice, even from within a Project each line has to be manually assigned to a project.
    Even if an invoice is copied from a previous one from within the project, the project information is not copied over and each line has to be assigned individually.
    This is very onerous, especially when there are numerous invoice lines.

    When actions are taken from within a Project, Xero does not seem to carry this information through, which is very poor.

  16. We receive an email each month with a link to the invoice, which we can then print to a pdf to download & attach to another email to send to Hubdoc or Xero Bills.
    Many businesses have a 'do not click links' policy.
    Please attach the pdf invoice to the original email to save all your users those extra clicks.

  17. Please could you allow us to restart the timer for a time entry that has been saved. Sometimes I have to come back to the same "sub task" (sorted by description) after a few hours and I don't want to type out the same description again. Nor do I want to create a brand new task for something that would be part of the same task, but have a slightly different note to it.

  18. Due to timing issues on when Stripe collects funds vs. when Stripe pays them out, we end up with transactions on our bank reconciliation after the period is closed. I know I can delete the bank statement line and import them with a current date, but it's an issue as our accountants run reports to upload into another system, and I never know if these transactions have been captured. Plus, to delete transactions, we have to open the prior period, which is problematic as we try to avoid that as much as possible.

  19. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to include some non financial data in zero ledgers for reporting?
    For Example - I would like to include a 'No. of Transactions' for a period that would not be a financial number (so no balancing required) but, this number would be available to add to reports i.e creating a cost per transaction.
    We used to call these 'SKU's' and generally they would Non Financial KPI's like:- production days, FTE's, LTI's or Units produced.
    Any help would be great.

  20. There is currently no way of putting a default mark-up on supplier invoices that are being assigned to projects. Many of my clients have a set mark-up on all invoices, so the means that they are frequently entering the same information. This would be handy to have a default setting (with the options of it being overriden if needed) to stop having to do the same thing over an over.
