If I want to change the Payment Frequency for Superannuation from quarterly to monthly, I currently have to do it for each and every employee individually, A fair waste of time because there are many employees on the list to change, but I've done it. When it becomes mandatory in 2024 to pay all employees fortnightly, I'm hoping to be able to 'Select All' employees, and select to change the Payment Frequency' from Monthly to Fortnightly. Do you know if this has been discussed or is likely to become an option for us?

  2. Automatically generate payment invoices when creating payroll.
    The current help article suggests creating spent money entries on the fly when reconciling.
    It would be better to be able to generate accurate payment and separate code tax invoices when the payday is filed.
    The advantages are that:
    - the payment is reconciled to where it is created ensuring it is correct,
    - the invoices are easily selectable into batch payments from payable invoices which correctly connects to bank batch payments,

  5. NZ Payroll - I would like a report that shows annual leave taken, any adjustments made to the leave balance and a final total of leave owing. I do not think there is anywhere that shows if an change has been made to someone's leave balance

  6. Re Payroll/Timesheets/RDO's. Can you please allow employees to enter a negative No of hours in Xero Me to category RDO accrual to get their hours back to the usual eg. 76 in a fortnight. Currently cannot submit.
    Staff working 40 hours to obtain hours RDO is problematic. I don't agree with Xero's instruction to change opening balance accrual figures. Must be able to be audited.

    Please change the break hours to be able to be 1. entered online and not just via Xero Me 2. within 1 entry. Currently staff have to enter 2 lines each day.

  9. Give the ability to set a percentage (i.e) 50% on an employees bank account when paying across more than one bank.
    I have an employee who always splits her pay equally between 2 bank accounts, however she is a commission paid rep and therefore each pay amount is different. So the current function is no use to me- which allows a $$ amount to be set only. This is fine for set salaried employees but not for commissioned sales reps.
    MYOB had a function where you could set a percentage on how much went to bank account…

  10. Xero needs to have an option in either Income Type or Tax Scale for employees on the Seasonal Worker Program, ie PALM Workers, so that the system automatically taxes them at the flat rate of 15%.

    At the moment I have approx 33 such employees and I must adjust their tax in every single payrun.

    The ATO have a specific code (W > P) that should be used for these workers under STP Phase 2 reporting.     Hi community, thanks for contributing your support and interest for adding Tax Depreciation Schedules to report packs. With a recent update we've made it possible for Partners to include Tax Depreciation schedule as a report in Report templates.

    You'll find the Depreciation Schedule, Disposal Schedule, Pooling Summary and Pooling detail all options when adding reports to a template from your practice. 🙂

  14. In Australia we are required to check an employee's visa status and keep a record of such.

    Additionally we have to report on this every quarter.

    It would be great to add visit status to the employment record

  16. I think it would be fantastic if expenses were able to be linked to payroll/ pay run. Expenses are great and the app is really easy to use but from a processing point, most firms pay with their the payroll. You currently you have to create a expense suspense and clear the expenses to that and then manually add the expenses to payroll which also get posted to the expense suspense- it all a bit of a hassle and would be fantastic if the expenses could just be added to payroll, in the same way the leave…

  17. We must be give an option or some kind of template to upload hours in Xero if there are hourly employees and number is huge. Doing manually is quite a challenge and time wastage.
    So this option must be available even if not using time sheet.

  18. Please fix the Schedule 5 PAYG calculation to include YTD commissions and bonuses as well as ordinary earnings. This is causing issues with tax not calculating automatically because the employee's only form of income is from commissions (real estate industry) and they are forced to report it under commissions for STP Phase 2 yet the calculation things they have $0 YTD earnings.

  19. It would be good if you could hide leave balances on individual employee payslips. The hide/show leave balances on payslips is a global setting applying to all employees. We have a scenario where the employ moved from part time to casual. They had leave balances as a part time employee, but don't have them as a casual but the zero leave balances still appear on their payslip.

  20. Payroll - Leave Liability Report to include Time in Lieu or Time Banked. For Companies that choose to offer Time in Lieu to their employees, this will be extremely helpful for reporting purposes. Also if it was available in Excel would be great. Thanks.
