AU Payroll - Filter superannuation payments screen
Multi select or more filter options when processing superannuation payments. This would expediate processing super payments for large employers. For example, you should be able to filter the super payment to show only last month super and select all and submit for payment. At the moment, if we want to process the previous month's super, we have to manually unselect each employee super that relates to the next month or quarter that we aren't required to pay yet.

NZ Payroll - Timesheets - Approve and view next option
When entering information on time sheets for employees, the ability to hit "next" to move onto the next employee once you have approved the time sheet rather than having to go back out to the main timesheet menu, find the appropriate timesheet on the drop down list & go back in to enter the timesheet for the next employee.

AU Payroll - Hide Long service leave balance from ineligible employees
I would like to be able to select only certain employees and add LSL balances on their payslips rather than everyone in the organisation.
My point is, when we set a new employee we started calculating their LSL from day one but we do not necessarily want them to see the balances until they reach 5 or 10 year mark working for the company.
In this case, calculation of LSL is accurate as in 10 years times hours of employees can change btw full time/part time and so on.
I would appreciate an option to select individual employees to…9 votes -

AU Payroll - Ability to apply work patterns to part time employees
Suggest the ability to apply work patterns to part time employees. For example, we have a part time employee who works 7 hours on Mon, 6 hours on Tues and 6 hours on Wed.
At the moment, if a Public Holiday falls on a Monday, it does not correctly work out hours worked.
The same happens if Annual Leave is taken; incorrect hours are calculated which affects AL accruals.
Hours worked have to be calculated and added manually.221 votes -

AU Payroll - Resubmit bounced automatic superannuation payments
Currently, when super payments bounce, Xero sends us an email letting us know that a payment to a particular super fund from a particular payment batch has failed. Once we've identified whose it was, and got the updated details, we then have to contact Xero to get a re-processing authorised.
All of this takes time, during which the Directors of my clients may become liable for late super payments. I'd like a button to click to speed up at least the contacting Xero for re-processing bit - preferably as part of the process identify the refund received and connect the…
15 votesHi team, sorry we haven't joined in this idea sooner. Earlier this year we released an improvement so now if an auto superannuation payment is returned the authoriser will receive an email including the reason for the return. They will be able to withdraw the payment from the processed batch to reprocess the contributions. We have detailed help for this on Xero Central, but if you run into any snags as always our Xero Support team are available to help. 🙂

Batch Payments: UK org - Export to BACS with supplier's reference
To have the option to export BACS file type.
Purpose: To get BACS file type, so customer can import it directly to bank system
34 votesHi everyone, appreciate this idea has been in a state of Under review fro some time. While it was something our teams we're looking into, this work has had to be put down with other priorities that have transcended.
For now, we'll shift back to 'submitted' where we can continue to track appetite. We'll be sure to let you know if there's any change in this space. Thanks

AU Payroll - Ability to apply tracking categories to superannuation
We have grant funding so wages as well as super needs to be applied with the tracking code to acquit grant correctly. Presently, there is no availability to apply tracking codes against the superannuation, as well it is only available through timesheets for the wages.
It would be very helpful if tracking codes could be applied directly with pay items in employee template (similarly like other software) so this can be applied when leave is taken also32 votes -

AU Payroll - Use multiple pay items for employees annual salary
Currently in XERO if you use more than one Ordinary Time Earnings Pay Item per employee the Annual Salary Calculation on the Payslip is incorrect. Using more than one is useful as there are some employees I like to apportion to 2 x areas. Example: It might be 1 day a week on Admin 4 days on Production. Whilst we can do this currently in XERO, as noted above the Annual Salary is incorrect. So - either - separate the Salary field from the Pay Item or change (fix) the way XERO calculates the Annual Salary. Note I am aware…

AU Payroll - Automatically accrue leave on additional pay items
Have the option to accrue leave on other pay items. ie. Saturday rate has to be set up with its own rate per employee as each employee is on their own rate for Saturday and isn't a "mutplication of the ordinary rate". This also needs leave to accrue on it.
Spoken to Xero adviser and they don't have a set up for this yet.31 votes -
AU Payroll - Automatically transfer PAYGW and Superannuation liabilities to separate bank account
My small business client came up the idea that when we download the aba file for our payroll, it would be great to have the option to pay total PAYGW & super liabilities into a nominated bank account.
This sets aside the money ready for the BAS'es, IAS'es and super.2 votes -
AU Payroll - Report for Unused Leave Paid out on Termination
When using the Leave Paid out on Termination feature in xero, the paid out leave is recorded in the Holiday Leave Accrual category. This means we are unable to run a report showing the value of unused entitlements paid out on Termination. This is important information for Workcover Reconciliations etc. Please set up a report for Unused Leave Paid out on Termination.

AU Payroll | Employees - Consistency between export and import details
Please re-work the Employee Contact Details report to include ALL of the information available in the employee bulk upload template and in the same format. Also add email address to the bulk upload format as it is already in the Employee Contact Details report.
When a client undergoes a restructure, the employees must be copied into the new file. It is EXTREMELY time consuming to type it all.
You have the start of a great export/import ability, it just needs a little bit of attention and it would be perfect.
