UK Payroll - List contacts in alphabetical order, by Surname
It would help if the list of emplyees were sorted in alphabet order, by Surname. Also, a BACS report that just shows the employee, amount to be paid, and the total at the bottom.

New invoicing - Move branding field to right and make consistent with Quotes
Please be consistent with the location of the "Branding Theme" field.
You have placed the "Branding Theme" field in different places, in the Quotes page it's on the right and in Invoicing it's on the left. Can you please put it in the same place consistently. As a user you learn where fields are and automatically go to them, so this is annoying.
My preference would be to keep it on the left.
Many thanks,

Bank - Change name of receive/spend money transactions
It would be most helpful if we could edit "receive/spend money" with "Bank receipt/payment", where "Bank" is replaced by the name of the bank, i.e. HSBC or Barclays, etc.
If more than 1 account with the same bank, HSBC Vat a/c or HSBC Paye a/c, etc....2 votesHi Bid, trying to better understand the purpose of your idea here and how it would help you when using Xero.
When you say you'd like to change the name of spend or receive money - Is there a place or flow you're using in Xero that causes confusion when looking at these transaction types?

Quotes - Add optional items
IT would be really good to have the capability to add 'optional' items to a single quotation -
- example #1: supplying in quantities of 10, 25 and 50,
- example #2: there are five items in the 'basic quote' but the customer may choose to add items 6,7 and/or 8 but these aren't a fundamental requirement to include.
If there is a quotation tool, then being able to offer customer flexibility is important as issuing multiple quotes can appear unprofessional

AU Payroll - Ability for Business Owner/Payroll Manager to view & complete draft timesheets
We want to be able to open and complete the employees draft timesheet, if it has already been started. We have enough to do without starting again from scratch what the employee may have already done but just not clicked the submit button.
It is idiotic that, as the owner and payroll manager, that we cannot see an employee's draft timesheets.
As the business owner and Payroll Admin, we should:
- not have compromise our recordkeeping by putting hours directly into the pay slip.
- not have to rely on our employees being available to correct the timesheet at any point in time; and
- certainly not have to rely on Xero Support to correct anything (simply because they will never be able to correct it in a timely fashion when we need them to - not their fault, just reality.)
What we should be able to do, is see any and all draft timesheets, regardless of who created them and alter them as necessary without having to mess around, wait on support or interrupt our employees during their down time.
As an employer, the absolute least we can do it make sure that our employees are paid correctly, on time and with the minimum of fuss.

176 votesHey Community, thanks for all the support shown for this idea. We understand that the core of this request is for business owners and payroll admins to be able to view, edit and complete draft timesheets.
Our product teams have carefully considered this, however we want to be upfront that developing this capability isn't on our foreseeable roadmap at this time.
The idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to gauge interest, as it will be important for when we next review our payroll priorities. Thanks again for sharing with us here, we really do value your input.

AU Payroll - Line item breakdown of payslips - YTD
Hi, It would be great if payslips line items match the 'pay template' pay items or alternatively, for pay items that have a YTD amount to be shown on all payslips (with the Nil or $amount for the current pay period as applicable with the YTD) to breakdown 'Other Previous Earnings'.
This will also assist tracking multiple pay items where it can vary each pay cycle, coding and tracking STP rates and categories, YE finalisation and review. Many thanks.35 votes -

Sales invoices - Bulk date change
Could we have a bulk date change please for when we are ready to send a lot of draft invoices or any in awaiting approval (and in the repeating 'payment due date' section)
we rely on the repeating function but its a pain to go in and change them one at a time when there's loads, especially when they copy over into draft aswell, its a mammoth taski.e also an option for '30 days payment due upon receipt of invoice' 😃

AU Payroll - ABN exempt non-employee contractors
I hope Xero will soon introduce the feature for ABN exemption for non-employee contractors, as there are cases that they are ABN exempt. I'm sharing the ATO link with you for your reference, https://www.ato.gov.au/forms-and-instructions/statement-by-supplier-not-quoting-an-abn?

Bills - Temporary pop up after creating bill and view bill opening in new window
A slight nuisance when creating bills, that seems to have started happening as part of the new invoicing 'updates' as I never had these two issues before.
1) There is a certain bill transaction that I add monthly, usually 10-15 per month. The lines are always the same so for speed I always copy one bill to another and so on. Once I add the payment Xero sends me back to the home screen and a pop up appears in the bottom left hand corner to 'view bill'. I click on this to then copy the bill for the next one. However... the pop up is temporary, and if I'm multi tasking, or the phone rings, the pop up disappears pretty quickly and I miss it. This makes it difficult to get back into the flow of things if for example it is a phone call or email interruption, to go back to Xero and remember where you were, as Xero has by then defaulted on the awaiting payments screen and the pop up for the last thing I did has gone.
2) When things are in good flow and I've clicked on the pop up to then copy invoice, it opens in a new window. So when doing this 10-15 times, constantly having to close the old windows.
Before you suggest it, I am aware of repeating bills but this feature isn't suitable for this particular transaction. And the copy bill system worked absolutely fine before, but again as with the new invoicing saga, it's disturbing workflow, adding more clicks, creating more work.

Reporting | Publishing - option to include cover & contents by default
Small request: Include the cover & contents page by default, please.
The following is info from a Support webpage... Publish a report from the Drafts tab. In the Accounting menu, select Reports. Select the Drafts tab. Click the menu icon kebab style menu icon to the right of the report you want to publish, then select Publish.
(Optional) You can apply different publishing style options depending on the type of report:
[Include a cover and contents page] < Can this be marked to include by default instead of having to check mark them to be included every time that I almost always do? >

Bills - Supplier Reminders function
It would be nice to have a reminders function for Suppliers just like with Customers.
We work with a very long list of Suppliers in some of our clients' companies. It could be a nice feature to have scheduled reminders go out to some suppliers that you always have to chase down for invoices/statements.
1 voteGood to understand the needs of our different customers an that some times you may need to chase a supplier for an invoice, Lezelle.
This isn't something we have plans for atm, but we'll get a sense of the interest from community through your idea here.

Cash Summary Report - Include Primary Person
Cash Summary Report to include Primary Person Please.
Can you get a cash summary report to provide in order 3 items as per below
Invoice No ... Contact ...Primary person
I cant seem to find a report for all three .
We send 170 invoices out client who pay sometimes do not include invoice number and we have to track by firm name or contact which can vary also on bank receipt information.
e.g.
I need "Primary person" to help "match" an unidentied payment. so searching for "primary person" identifies the invoice number or the right contact.2 votes -
Contacts - Allow multiple addresses for a single contact record
Ability to create and save multiple addresses for a single contact record
Purpose: Allow customers to map customer & supplier details against a single contact record
1,297 votesThanks for your continued engagement and valuable feedback on this long-standing idea, everyone. We've been carefully reviewing your comments and want to acknowledge the clear sentiment of frustration regarding the current limitations around managing multiple addresses for contacts, particularly for invoicing and delivery purposes, and that this is a critical feature to many of you.
We want to share an update on our progress here - We're pleased to confirm that the foundational work for handling multiple addresses has been completed within the Contacts area of Xero. This was a crucial first step. Building on this, now that all customers are on the new invoicing experience our product team has moved into the discovery phase for adding multiple addresses directly within invoicing. This means they are actively exploring the best way to implement this functionality to meet your needs effectively.
We appreciate your patience as we work through the complexities of adding this to ensure a robust and user-friendly solution. We'll provide further updates as we move forward with the development.
Thank you again for your passionate feedback and for helping us prioritise the features that matter most to your businesses.

Sales invoices - hold selection when navigating pages
It would be great if the awaiting payment area would allow more invoices to be shown, currently it only allows up to 200. Or if it had the ability to save the invoices you've selected for payment and you could go to the next page without loosing the invoices you had already preselected.
4 votesHi Sarah, there is a limit of including 50 invoices in a single batch deposit atm. Is there any commonality between invoices that you pay that could possibly be searched and bring them into the one page?

Batch Deposit - Search and select on Awaiting Payment screen
Currently when selecting invoices to include in a batch deposit you can only select what's on the current screen, when you click to the next screen you lose the selections you made on the previous screen. I have thousands of invoices awaiting payment, even with the max display amount of 200, it's 30+ screens to scroll through. I have to create multiple batch deposits in order to capture everything that's being taken to the bank that day. Please add a search field that will save and allow multiple invoices to be included in batch deposits.

Batch Payments - Ability to 'split' when reconciling
Currently a client can upload a number of invoices and then create a batch payment for these invoices. When they make a payment for 1 of the invoices in the batch, you have to remove and redo the payment then match the separate invoice up, and then recreate the batch payment, excluding the amount which has now been paid. Would be easier if like with invoices, the batch payment could be split, saving the new to remove and then recreate the batch payment.
335 votesHi everyone, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding the ability to split batch payments when reconciling, and understand it currently takes extra steps to reconcile when a single invoice among a batch has been paid, or when there are multiple payments to the same entity for different invoices.
Being transparent, we don’t have direct plans for making this change within the foreseeable future but if anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea! -
Projects - Keep items in the same order when invoicing
When creating an invoice from a project-keep items in the same order as they appear in the project. It is very confusing when all the items are in different places than they were in the project and I have to reorder everything.
