  1. Be able to search for a particular term within invoices. For instance as service that is not often invoiced. Could then allow you to copy that particular invoice to a new invoice.

  2. I feel that there is a poor level of dialogue from Xero on these ideas. For the top voted topics - I'd like communication as to what they're doing to implement a solution (and if not then why not).
    For the ideas that are years old but still receive steady votes - what's happening?

    If Xero have no plans to take on certain ideas then make it known.

    Hi everyone, I appreciate feelings shared in not seeing traction as fast as you'd like to ideas you're interested across Xero Product Ideas. 

    Our community team are pure advocates for our customers ideas internally, making sure these are shared and highlighted to the teams and individuals that can make a difference, and doing our best to get ideas reviewed and into our teams planning wherever possible. 

    We receive ideas for incremental, and large changes to existing products, as well as for new features entirely. With so many customers the range of ideas coming from our users is large, and we cannot action all things at once. 

    We try to be transparent in our communication and updates to ideas across the site, even if this means there is no current development planned for a feature.

  3. Most of my clients are in the EU and want to use the ECB rates for transactions and not XE.com - can a choice of exchange not be included in the set up process or when activating the multicurrency option . I now have to enter the rates daily manually - it would save a LOT of time

  4. Be able to produce a payroll report for leave balances with a running balance. I want to be able to see all leave accrued, leave taken and the running balance in one report.

  5. The Payroll Journal dates are currently fixed to be the Pay Date, which is incorrect for any business that has hourly paid employees which must pay after end of month, when all hours are calculated.

    Every month all of our P&L figures are wrong because of this. Nobody wants to have to waste time doing loads of manual journals every month, which have the potential for mistakes, when Xero has created a system which is supposed to automate this process.

    Others have raised it but Xero never replied, see link at the bottom below.

  6. When creating/editing an invoice with the new style, you can select fields to show/hide. We would like to be able to change these and set the changes as default - at the moment you have to go in and select the ones you would like to see every time you are editing an invoice. The main one for us is the discount column - we would like to see this on every invoice. Having this functionality to show/hide is good, but just don't want to change this every time.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate your feedback on the show/hide fields option. As you may have seen in other updates we're working on a new line item grid that will encompass a few enhancements we know our customers want to see, and will also include an improvement to the behaviour of the show/hide fields so the options you select will be retained. I'll come back to confirm when this is released.

  7. We have bureau licences with read only access for clients - however when the bank feed drops they are unable to refresh without upgrading. As they have no other involvement it does not make sense for them to have upgraded access - can we allow them to do this on a slightly improved access level please?

Currently after we assigned billable expenses to a customer and subsequently when we create a new invoice with the billable expenses, noted that the tracking category named Projects as well as account code are not auto-fill. We need to fill in manually which is time-consuming, imagine there are 100 items in the invoice.

    It will be very helpful and save time if the account and project code will be auto-fill in the invoice. We really appreciate your support and looking forward this can be implemented. Thank you!

  9. It would be great if you could use placeholders in item and in the general text of an invoice. I know this feature is available in recurring invoices but would be great if we could add to all invoices.

  11. The current screen and filters for Xero timesheet is not user-friendly. In particular, firstly, it would be great if the Employee Name filter allowed you to type and search. Secondly, if the Employee Name filter could include multiple names that would be useful.
    Lastly, not in the filters, but the tick boxes for each timesheet - if the tick box was bigger and next to the line, instead of in the timesheet line this would help. The way it is at the moment, it is too easy to accidentally go into a timesheet instead of ticking it to select for…

  12. Please include the function to translate financial statement from the local/base currency to reporting currency.

    Currently, the PL is converted at month end rate rather than the average rate. This is incorrect.

  14. It would be great to have read-only access to payroll - all of it - for auditors.
    They need access to the staff files, the individual transactions and the reports - as they have with the rest of the business.

  15. There is no warning that states that transaction can be missed when the bank feed is being renewed.

    There should be a warning stating that during the time of renewal of bank feeds you will need to check in ensure all transaction/ stateliness have imported as some could be missed.

  16. Using the dashboard search, we are no longer able to search by account number and must instead use names. Account numbers are used by thousands of businesses across the country and it's one of my most common client questions.

  17. An option on the templates to remove the VAT/Tax heading. For non-VAT registered companies this heading isn't relevant, therefore, should have the option to completely remove it.

  18. When filtered for the bank accounts in the account transaction report, the related account column often shows AR/AP for bills and invoices. This loses the visibility for us. It would be great to see further drill down of related account of each line item instead of just AR/AP.

  19. Whilst doing multiline bills and invoices we need a key stroke shortcut that copies the line above to reduce time taken to enter data. I was used to this in sage. I REALLY miss it. Please!!!!
