  1. No idea - this was mentioned 5 years ago but the new system seems to have lost the original idea/moan.

    This is a very simple and quick one dev-wise.

    The "Purchase Order" needs to simply pull through the "customer name" and "contact number" from their profile - once you have searched for it at the bottom of the PO where it says "Delivery Address".

    Every other form uses word doc templates where you can choose your merge field name and it retrieves that information from the contact profile. Why does this form not do it?

  2. Say I go to a supplier and make a cash purchase. I use my debit card and then walk out with goods and a receipt. Scanning the receipt to Xero and coding the purchase if easy but I am pretty slack and normally lose the receipt before I get to scan it. What say, the vendor scans a QR code that I carry containing my email/Xero info and this allows the vendor's system to email me the purchase document. No paper and I can code the purchase when I am at my PC later in the day. Also means…

  4. When using the Xero app from your phone, to have the Purchase Order numbers auto generate the number.
    Currently, we have to look back and previous purchases to find the last used PO....unless you have a great memory. And then, while creating a new purchase order, we have to enter the new number.
    Currently, we also need to select as an optional detail, the order number. It would be nice if the app created a new PO number, sequentially from the previous PO issued.

  5. See who was selected as an approver by employees. If we have been selected as an approver by the employee, it is currently impossible to know if they also selected their appropriate approver to know if we should reject the timesheet or leave or if we can wait for the appropriate approver to approve the timesheet or leave.

    It sounds like you're looking to create supplier bills in bulk. If so, you can do this by importing them using a CSV template, which you can download from the 'Purchases overview' screen in Xero.

    1. Purchase orders reset to 'include GST' ever time you start a new PO. Why does it not just remember the last setting like invoicing does. (Or an option to lock it to a setting)

    2. Ability to add more information to invoices like customers phone number or email. It's an option. Saves warehouse staff or anyone having to look up the information. (At this time I use the country for the phone number and contact for the email)

  7. Tracking Categories do not show in Xero Me mobile app when I approve my employees' timesheets. This means I cannot check that they have allocated their time to the correct Tracking Categories, so I have to approve timesheets on the computer making Xero Me useless for Timesheet approvals. Please show Tracking Categories in the Xero Me timesheets app.

    Hi everyone 🤚 thanks for the idea and support. I thought I'd pop in here to share that it can be possible to have your tracking options show in the Xero Me mobile app when approving timesheets. However to do this you'll need to choose the Total hours worked timesheet setting (instead of the Start & end hours option). Appreciate that this may not be suitable in all our customer's workflows, so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea.

  8. Would be useful to have the option to decline a PO request to remove it from the 'awaiting approval' tab, currently the only option you have is to delete it.

    The full PO side of Xero requires an upgrade, it's useless

I often copy from a Purchase order to an Invoice, with the new Invoicing set up, it automatically populates the customer field with the Supplier name, can this PLEASE be changed to same as classic with a blank field so we can enter the custmer details in ourselves, it is most annoying and has often caught our office out sending invoices to suppliers.

  11. Head ledgers with correct names for UK market. We use Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger not receivables and payables, also we call it nominal ledger or sometimes general ledger. Why can't you allow us to change the headings or at least set up Xero like Sage does so you can have a more accountancy based set up for advanced users and not the layman even though the content would be the same for both to see

  12. Invoice only user role that allows you to pick and choose either or both Sales and Purchase orders. quotes and invoices. At the moment you can only have Sales or Purchase IO otherwise you have to make standard user which is not helpful.

  13. Recipient-Created Tax Invoices (RCTI) are a normal thing in some industries. Xero is not set up to create them; instead we have to do a workaround with purchase orders.

    I'd like to not have to use the workaround.

    The workaround consists of:
    - creating RCTI branding themes
    - creating a purchase order for each entity needing RCTIs
    - edit that purchase order with the new details every time creation of an RCTI is needed (so in labour hire this can be every week for each contractor)

  14. The view box that comes up when you approve bills is utterly useless, you can't do anything with them, I don't see the point. Before the recent changes, when you approved more than one bill, you could click on the view tab at the top of the page and be directed directly to these bills in awaiting payment, from that screen you could schedule them for payment. Now you have to approve them and then go to awaiting payment, search for the bills you just approved, make sure that the bills that come up in the search are…

  15. PO to approved quote. My customers want to add their PO number and possibly an attachment upload to an approved quote when they select approve on the link. This should be very simple to fix. Also, then this would give us more capabilities in the approval process by allowing documentation to be added to the quote directly from the customer. This way it will tell me when I invoice them what PO was on the order. Also, they were asking for a place to put notes as well. They have notes on a reject but not approve.

    We appreciate the passion and feedback we've received from customers about the ability to import and export purchase orders.

    We want to be open, that we do not have a direct plan to build export and import functionality in Purchase Order any time soon. 


    Our Product team in this space are currently focused on modernising our underlying technology so we can build new features, faster in the future.

  18. It would be great to have an option to run a sales report by item which includes draft invoices, delivery dockets, and purchase orders as well.

    For example, I tried to run a sales report on qty of each product sold for the financial year to date and realised this information was inaccurate as we had sold a significant qty as draft invoices (using draft invoicing in lieu of delivery docket functionality), these products were not included in the sales report.
