  2. Sales Invoice - Bulk create Sales Invoices is possible with the import of the csv file, however, the invoices entered is not marked as paid, so we either mark them all paid on one especific date (bulk payment) or go in each one of them and enter the payment...

    Going in each one is impratical, and bulk paying all, lets say, at the end of the month is ok, but not right.

    We would love to create and mark the invoice as paid in one go, just like with the import precoded bank transactions...

Invoices which have been created directly in Stripe are integrated with Xero so that the invoices import into Xero and then when payments are received, if payment is received via Stripe, this marks the invoice as paid to the bank account in Xero (which will then allow for reconciliation with the payment from Stripe) or if paid by a bank deposit these can be reconciled in Xero and will mark as paid in Stripe also.

  4. Search Job name when searching for invoices
    The search function should be consistent across all search. If you can search for job name or part of job name in Search, you should be able to search for job name in Business/Invoices. This brings consistency to the search function.

  5. The existing Customer Invoice Report has a "Paid" column. This column shows the payments allocated to an invoice. This column excludes any credits allocated to the invoice.

    The new Receivable Invoice Summary report has a "Payments/Credits" column. This column shows the combined amount of payments AND credits allocated to an invoice.

    I need to be able to run a report of invoices that shows ONLY payments allocated to each invoice. This is a crucial need for us. We need to know what amounts on invoices were paid by customers (i.e. payments) and what amounts on invoices were not paid by…

  6. In Classic views if there was an Adjustment to Tax it was quite obvious when the Invoice (or Bill) had an adjustment to tax. Compare that to the new Invoice screen where there is nothing showing that this adjustment exists.
    It must be sitting in the database somewhere as its shows in classic invoicing.

    Could this be added back into new invoicing plus could there be a report or filter that could show invoices or bills that have an adjustment to tax?

    Hi everyone, apologies we've not updated you on this idea sooner.

    Where you're using the UK or Global editions of Xero it is possible to manually adjust the tax amount of individual lines of your invoice with new invoicing. This is slightly different to classic where you would adjust the overall tax amount of the invoice.

    If the Tax Amount column isn't shown already, click the show/hide fields button where you'll have the option to check this - While this column is possible to view for all orgs, as with classic invoicing only UK and Global editions will find the option to edit the Tax amount of your invoice lines.

  7. When raising client invoices, it would be good to be able to submit the invoice to a Manager for approval.
    When processing supplier bills, it would be good to be able to submit the bill to a Manager for approval of payment of that expense.
    In both cases, this would mean that approval details of "who" and "when" would be noted in the History of the invoice/bill without needing to attach a file showing the approval or tracking this outside of the system.
    Ideally keeping the Approval role completely separate to the ability to edit the invoice/bill as well…

    Hey community, thanks for your continued interest in this idea.

    From the 4th September, we’ve removed the option to add Pay with Wise to your Xero subscription for new sign ups, and we made the decision to completely remove the feature from 26th February 2024.

    Our team is hard at work on an alternative bill payment solution that uses Open banking.

  10. When an invoice in emailed in Workflowmax it is marked with a tick as “Sent”, however this does not carry through to Xero. Is it possible to add this feature so that invoice payment reminders in Xero automatically work without the need to manually change the invoice status to “Sent”?

  11. I want to assign the customer to repeating invoices like software subscriptions that we pay for our clients. I have those bills in as repeating invoices but I have to assign the customer to them every month. It would be nice to be able to assign the customer on the repeating invoice and save that time each month.

  12. Provide functionality in Xero to add attachments to a group invoice.

    Annually when we issue membership
    subscriptions there are a number of attachments that need to be included with the invoice, this is currently a manual process. Adding the sane attachments to over 80 invoices is time consuming and tedious.

    Given Xero has this functionality already, it should be expanded to include the functionality of adding attachments when creating an invoice o a contact group.

    Appreciate your feedback here, everyone. While we've recently released contact group invoicing with new invoicing, the ability to attach and send an attachment has not changed for the time being.

    Contact Group invoicing will only create draft invoices for the contacts within that group, so you'll need to attach any documents to the individual invoices that are created and select to include these with the invoice when sending.

    We'll continue to review this idea as a future enhancement, and I'll let you know if there are any changes planned, here.

  13. Show the total amount of Domestic Reverse Charge VAT on an invoice, to make it clear to the customer what is due by them.

    It is not necessary to show the VAT amount on each line, when it is the same for the whole invoice.
    While Xero may be compliant with HMRC, it is not right for businesses who are being repeatedly asked for this information to be shown on invoices. It would be a simple fix for Xero as the functionality is already in place.

  14. We have our own PDF invoices we send our clients and much prefer these over the automatically generated Xero PDF version of invoice. I know we can upload these into Xero when in classic view but are these the PDF invoices sent with Automatic Reminders when selecting "Include the link to the invoice PDF" or is it the standard Xero PDF invoice that is sent? If not can this please be added as we much prefer our own invoices as much detail goes into them and we are not happy with the overall look of Xero PDF's. We have tried…

  15. We need to give specific users access to specific sales.
    We have made our employee have draft only sales access, but now we cant collaborate invoices and quotes there should be an option to give users access to specific invoices & quotes, not the total sales in and out

  16. Being able to customize each user role is quite important as every person in every company does something different. Giving them access to systems they shouldn't have because the User Role they need to do their job allows them access to these other areas is a security risk in general.

    Putting in Custom Roles will also allow companies to adjust the Users to their Company Policies for controls.

    Appreciate the idea here - Being transparent, developing granular permissions or roles for every feature and action throughout Xero is not in our plans. 


    Understanding more of the permission sets majority of users need, will help understand where the biggest impact could be made. 

    I've slightly adjusted the title to suit the needs of the role you mentioned. We'll get a sense of others that'd like this too. 

  17. Our company's invoicing procedure comprises three steps:
    (1) invoice generation by our own custom software and also pushed to Xero through the Xero API,
    (2) direct debit payments manually added and processed via GoCardless (on their own website, not Xero's integration) for selected invoices, and
    (3) invoice reconciliation in Xero. This process is jeopardized when any alterations are made to the invoices in any of the systems (our database, Xero, or GoCardless), causing inconsistencies and the need for corrective credit notes.

  18. Please Please put the option to see what branding theme is on the invoice on the DRAFT invoice page -- If you have 50 invoices in a batch with different themes its a nightmare. And then also Step 2 - PLEASE link the email template automatically to the branding theme. It would make our lives much simpler. We process many invoices in batches with two different themes.     Hi all, we wanted to share an update for our US customers that sending invoices via SMS is now available! We have just released this functionality and you can use the same Xero Central article as shared in the last update to understand the in's & out's of how this works. After this release we will be working on delivering this to the UK and NZ markets. As mentioned initially this is limited to the Stripe payment service but we will also be expanding this other payment services down the line.

     

     

  20. There has been an ongoing BUG in Xero, on the bank reconcile screen, when you select more details about the transaction, it covers the invoices. If you have invoice references in the details, you have to close that then select the invoices in the reference. Xero should not cover the invoices, but display the details along the side, see CASE BUG CX0013467462 for full details and screenshot.

    Appreciate your screenshot and can see what you're meaning here, Craig. 

    While this is not a bug we appreciate this is not ideal and understand why you'd like to be able to view these to items at once. Currently these are two separate features in the Reconcile screen which is why they work in isolation and the More details view can be open and closed while working with Find & Match. 

    We don't have immediate plans for changing this behaviour, however I've shared with our team and we will let you know if there's any change planned.
