  1. It would be great if you were able to report a P & L by customer which shows income and related expenses (as allocated in Dext to a tracking category) in the P & L. This feature is available in Quickbooks but following a recent client move to Xero it is not possible to use in Xero.

  3. It would be great to be able to edit the detailed time report similar to how we can edit the P&L and balance sheet reports.

    We simply want to add a timesheet sign off area at the bottom of the report, which would be easy to add if that feature was available.

  6. When bringing the current layout over from the Profit and Loss report to the new report. When compare activities is selected on the current report the layout stays the same. When using compare activities on the new report the layout changes/it opens a new report. Please enable the layout to stay the same on the new report when the compare activities function is chosen, as happens at the moment.

  8. I just want a simple report that show sales by customer with comparatives to previous financial years that agrees back to the sales on the profit & loss statement. Surely thats not too difficult??

    I am disappointed at the lack of decent sales reporting in Xero. Whilst I agree that Xero has many great features, their sales reporting is not one of them.

    The income by contact report does not work as it picks up all receive money transactions for all contacts, not just those in the sales accounts or for customers, so it is significantly different to…

  9. Add CIS Deduction value to the Aged Receivables and Aged Payables reports. In the same way Outstanding VAT value is an option to include in the reports, also include CIS Deduction.

    Hi everyone, understand the confusion in some of the recent comments here. To explain how this works at present - A report will automatically default to portrait or landscape mode based on the width of the report. The more columns you add, Xero will automatically switch the layout from portrait to landscape mode.

    The same report should not change from user to user, if you're finding this it may be worth checking your printer fit settings and if these differ.

    We don't have plans for developing an option of whether a report prints in landscape or portrait mode atm, but our teams are across the interest of this, so if there's any change we'll share an update on this with you, here.

  12. Business snapshot - link to default custom Profit & Loss Report

    We use a custom Profit & Loss Report which is default.
    Unfortunately the Business snapshot links to the standard xero Profit & Loss Report not the custom default Profit & Loss report.
    Can the Business snapshot be changed to link to the custom default reports?

  13. Allow manual selection of portrait or landscape layout for Budget Variance report. You currently need to have 8 or more columns beside the GL Account column for the report to automatically change orientation from portrait to landscape. 7 columns squashed on to portrait layout causes textwrap. It would be great to have the option to manually select portrait or landscape orientation when editing the layout.

  14. It would be really helpful if there was a report that showed the actual amount of hours worked per month per individual and as a total. Our company has busy seasons, as well as quiet seasons and having a report like this would help us in planning our staffing situation.

  15. The "View recent bills report" functionality on a Contact page has changed since the new reporting was deployed this week. Previously, if you clicked on the link you would see a nice list of all approved bills for that vendor whether paid or not. This functionality has now changed and is effectively useless. Yes, you can get the same info by going into Business/bills to pay but that it is more clunky. Thank you.

    Not a capture all but maybe a step in the right direction for now that could help, Maureen - Smart Lists could help you get a view of the customers that you've not sold items to recently. 

    You could run a New Smart List to view Any customers who have Not Purchased Any items In the last year - Find out more on Smart lists here

    Hi everyone, we've just released disclosures for foreign currency in Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Trial balance, Movements in equity, Budget Variance and the Blank reports.🙂
    When you run one of these reports in base currency you'll see indicators next to amounts that have been translated that show the exchange rate that was used.
    Where applicable and you run one of these reports in a foreign currency there will be an indicator next to the currency sub heading that links to a note which display the exchange rates at which the base currency has been translated to foreign currency as at the report date, and any comparative dates.
    We'll be extending this feature across more reports and I'll return to share as these come available. Thanks!

  18. The old Supplier Invoice Report which is due to be turned off in July displayed the totals for the gross and outstanding balance columns in the original currency. This doesn't appear to be possible in the new version of the report, even when it is grouped or filtered by original currency so that items with the same currency appear together.

    Can this be added before July please, or failing that, keep the old version of the report in place until it has been done?

    Hey all, just popping in with a quick status change!

    Whilst we have added in a column for original currency, it's not possible to view subtotals for this column.

    Understand that there's some interest from the community in this feature, so we're re-opening this idea to continue to collect feedback 😊

  19. By adding a 'Related Files Name' column option in Account Transactions reports people can then see which file is related to which transaction when exporting the report

  20. It would be extremely useful to be able to either
    1. export the main data from all purchase orders / or
    2. be able to make up a custom report

    Ie: Supplier, date / reference / ETA / Salesperson / dollar / Revenue identity etc.
    Used For: Sales team, Customer order ETA's etc
