  1. We are finding staff are regularly being logged out of XPM when they move between the 'Clients' tab & the 'Jobs' tab. When this happens it asks staff to log back in, but we are finding it is taking them to random different areas of XPM instead of back to where they were. i.e Setting up a new organisation page, in the middle of a client file etc. This appears to be a basic functionality issue that needs to be fixed.

  2. In the last financial year, we made multiple and significant layout changes to the accounting schedules in our financial notes.
    Therefore, we intend to 'Copy and Edit' most of our financial reports. However, we have found that when you 'edit layout' it removes the date field codes in our numbered notes regardless of if you edit the number notes or not - therefore losing it's auto updating feature.
    As a result, we are now having to manually update the year in all of our financials, or start from scratch.
    Please make it so edit layout does not remove date fields…

  3. Currently we can update a clients physical/postal address and then update all those relevant in the group using the pop up 'Update relevant client addresses'. It would be so helpful and save time to be able to do this for the EMAIL address of a client.

  4. I’d like to suggest adding an automated feature for populating dates in the Company Minutes, using the reporting date as a reference. This would eliminate the need to manually update dates throughout the document, saving time and reducing errors.

  5. I have just learned that XPM does not connect to Outlook and thus Client data is not synced. I thought this would be the most important information to sync with outlook, Afterall clients are who accountants communicate with most.

  6. The Cover Letter shows the Taxable income and refundable/payable amount, can it also then include spousal tax return information so we can send one cover letter for two tax returns.

  7. TPAR - Ability to add more than 12 rules. Some clients like to separate out each type of subcontractor they have on the books and end up with a lot more than 12.

  8. When completing a tax return for foreign residents we needed to adjust the discount rate for the property that they had sold. Xero had no way for us to change the discount percentage so we said that we used the other method to not include discount and then added the discount we should be able to claim to the costs in the Capital Gain Worksheet. As per Xero Support this was the only solution. Can you please incorporate a way for us to change the discount rate of a CGT event?

  9. Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

  10. Please add a column in Xero HQ, not unlike "unreconciled items" that notes the STP status of connected Xero organisations. Options to flag in this column are "STP 2 not setup", "[Year] Finalisation outstanding".

  11. We need to improve permissions on XPM, I want to provide permission to my managers to their staff members timesheets. The only way I can do this is to give them access is by giving them Access Financial data which really is too high for what we require.
    Only other way is to provide them with a report weekly...

  12. I still have lots of staff asking to see a Group Certificate, especially if they have not put their tax in for a few years. It would be great if we could generate a "dummy" group certificate for the staff member, after the end of financial year. It give them the info they want immediately and adds professionalism to our company if we can provide what they need.

  13. I love the function of being able to import data from a Xero file/ledger directly into a Xero tax.

    However, it seems that you can only import date to 30 June. It doesn't appear to be able to import for a substituted accounting period.

    It would be helpful to be able to select the period to import.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your appetite and sharing interest in the idea here. Our teams have been working on development of the Job Manager table and we'll soon release the ability to make bulk actions, including being able to update the job state of multiple jobs at once. We'll move this idea across to working on it, and I'll let you know when it's here!

    Hi everyone, while this is an idea that our team would like to explore, there are other pieces of work priortised for the time being. We'll shift the status of this idea back to submitted. When there is more news to share around this we'll be back to update you all, here. 

  17. In Job Manager, please include the following dates to allow better management of workflow and practice objectives to better service clients:

    • Job Received Date (from client) - make this editable, but history of changes is recorded and viewable.
    • Job Start Date (when job was started on, or triggered, for recurring ones)
    • Job STATE Due Date (for the specific Job States)
    • Job FINAL Due Date (eg. based on deadlines or Practice's targets, eg. within 8-12 weeks of receiving the Job)
    • Last Actioned Date (this can sit within the Comments/Notes column within Job Manager view, just as so many others have requested***).

    Hi Vernis, currently it's possible to view Start and Due date from Job Manager, however the others you've mentioned are not available. If we make any plans to add State, Last actioned date or Received date we'll update you here.

  18. Improve multi currency capability of XPM.

    Currently, XPM only caters for invoicing out in the base currency and so invoices are done out of Xero. When it compes to KPI reports out of XPM, the info is all wrong. Invoice amounts pull through in invoice currency and not base currency, where as time is calculated in the base currency, these are incorrectly picked up as over and unders. Since there is no way to see what currency the invoice is in, reports from XPM are quite useless and differ significantly to profit reported in Xero for entities that invoice in…

  19. Not an idea really but a bug which needs fixing.
    A lot of suppliers like FedEx for example send $0 bills which HubDoc is unable to publish to Xero as the Tax and Subtotal amounts is calculated wrongly despite the bill's Total Amount of $0.00 being correctly detected. As a result the invoice cannot be published to Xero.

  20. I would like to do a bulk update of the supplier configurations in HubDoc to set the "Configure rules for Xero" to "off" so that we can begin our configurations from scratch. Doing it maunally for the number of suppliers we have is very time consuming so I would like to request assistance in making a bulk change.

    The automated help agrees it a good idea and suggested the following
