  1. When a tax payment date falls on a weekend and a payment is then made on the Monday it incorrectly applies the payment to the next provisional instalment date in the Provisional Tax tab in the clients Tax Statements area. Can this be fixed?

  2. When using Xero tax for sole trader self assessments, and importing the Xero sole trader accounts, it would be so useful to generate reports that don't include the balance sheet, i.e. it would be better if one could edit the reports according to an individual requirements/reporting needs.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your interest in this idea. Although we haven't enabled the option to exclude a balance sheet from sole trader accounts within Xero HQ we wanted to share this very exciting update with you. We recently released a direct import of the P&L from Xero onto the self-employment worksheet within Personal Tax, without the need to map the account codes and generate a set of sole trader accounts.

    Previously we only supported an import from Sole Trader Accounts to Personal Tax which for some of our partners involved an extra step, particularly for smaller clients who typically only receive Income & Expenditure accounts. We hope by adding this functionality that you will be able to maximise the more flexible reporting capabilities within Xero to produce accounts for sole traders.   3. Ability to pre-lodge tax returns for all pre-2018 tax returns in Xero Tax AU, this will help reduce the amount of lodgement errors upon the lodgement of tax returns.

  4. There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:

    Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.

    My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.

    Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)

    Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

  6. Some sort of link for each partner so we can have clients sign up with us directly from our website. Alot of my clients sign up for all my services from a link on a website. This would be very beneficial in my opinion. See this one for example with zoho books.

  7. How can I make the client and detail columns wider. It is very restrictive as I cant fully see the client code and description. I know this is a Xero development issue but it would help a lot. It is really convenient to bill from this screen. Also I arrange the clients alphabetically, and when going into a client and see what to bill, when i go back to the WIP list it defaults back to sorting by value.

I reckon Xero HQ - client group is an excellent avenue for sending bulk information, or request information, however, apparently when generate a new Bulk Query for the group, it's becoming difficult to allocate the particular group. the XPM group information sync with Xero HQ, in our instance, there are over 350 groups, and the search function for the group, appears is not working.

  9. It would be helpful to be able to insert a merge field such as 'Tax Year' into the description of a task. Handy when it comes to preparation of the invoice as not all returns are for the current year.

  10. Job statuses. Is there a way that when a job moves from one status to the next, it automatically timestamps these movements. It's time consuming having to add a note of these changes.

  12. Bulk importing/creation of Jobs - to include Tasks with Estimated Time and Staff on Job.
    I would like to do a bulk creation of the Job and also then bulk creation of Tasks and Estimated Time, and to allocate to Staff on the Job. Or an easy entry area to update the Job Task Estimated time so you don't have to enter into each job individually to enter this data.

    Hi Christopher, few ideas rolled up in the one here. We ask that each idea be separate on the product ideas forum so others in the community know exactly what they're voting for and we can share with the correct product teams, and keep you updated on any progress on the site. 

    Also appreciate you referencing your case numbers with Xero Support however they don't really help others in the community. 

    For your idea on adding more fields to the report - we have another here that you may like to also join and vote on. 

    I'll update your idea here to reflect your second request for being able to open a clients tax return form within Practice Manager. 

    I welcome you to create individual posts for your other 2 ideas here also. 

  16. Ability to transfer customised reports between practices or other businesses. Currently this is not possible so if a client changes accounting practices then reports do not follow. This is expensive for the client for reports to be redone and totally unnecessary given that all the formatting necessary already exists on another system.

  17. It is not currently possible to use Report Fields in a group heading in reports.

    We spend time setting up shareholder and director names in Report Fields but they can only be used in text blocks, not group headings in reports. If we could use Report Fields in group headings we could make report templates, such as the schedule of shareholder current accounts, more dynamic and automatic. See the screenshot attached for an example.

  18. Good day,

    Would it be possible to allow us to import the staff assignment via the CSV import file rather than assigning staff afterwards. Same for the template, category and job state.

    Regarding the bulk staff assignment function, could we add filters and have the columns sort when you click on the column headings of this section please.

    These two short comings is creating a huge delay in annual job creation for routine jobs.

    No we cannot use re-curing jobs as XPM does not have the functionality yet to choose the date on which the re-curing job is created, you…

  19. I use Xero Tax to prepare all my self-assessment returns for clients and I'd like to send out a reminder this month of the POA due at the end of the month along with their UTR references. Is there any way to produce a report from Xero Tax summarising this information by client which could be exported to Excel and used as basis for a mail merge? If not, this would be really helpful and presumably, as the information is already held in Xero Tax to generate the Payment Reports this should not be very complex to develop. Thanks

  20. 90% of the time when I want to move a timesheet entry it is to a different job for the same client and probably 99% of the time it is to a job for a client in the same group.

    However the "To" list that pops up is for all clients and when you type the first few letters of the client name it appears on the bottom line of the screen so you still usually have to scroll down to find the correct job.

    Is it possible to make all the jobs in the "From" client's group appear first…
