  2. We would like to be able to do a list of Employee at the end of year with total earnings, PAYE, Employer and Employee Kiwisaver etc.

    You can list now but it lists every date and you then need to drop out to Excel and do all the additionals. Very time consuming if you have a number of employees.

    As you've found, the Annual Earnings Certificate displays the information required, but splits each employee in to a seperate page.


    I've updated your title to reflect that you'd like this report in a list format, and shifted it back to 'submitted' so we can keep collecting votes and feedback. 

  3. Ability to become an affiliate if not a BAS agent or tax agent.

    I am a chartered accountant with a finance coaching and Virtual CFO company but I am not a BAS or tax agent. I use Xero, train clients on Xero and recommend Xero to all of my clients and would recommend there was an affiliate scheme without having to be a BAS or tax agent.

    Hi Lucy, to make sure I understand your idea here. When you say an affiliate would that be an affiliate to make use of AU Tax as a product or more broadly the Partner Program that Xero has for Practice users ?

    Thanks for contributing your feedback fro this idea, everyone. Though appreciating the thought here, Xero is currently limited in our ability to solve this as the information only becomes available to us on the first of the month. 

    In lieu, and if not already set up we'd recommend enabling automatic activity statements - You can see detail on this in Xero Central. 

  7. Singapore Tax - Create a GST F5 for foreign currency ledger. It is now a pain to do GST reporting for a USD reporting company.

    Hi everyone, we’d like to confirm that GST F5 for foreign currency ledger is not something we have plans to develop at this time. We’re still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that’d like to see this developed for Singapore tax, and will continue to track this through the conversation here.

    In the meantime, for those who aren’t already aware, in a Singapore organisation users can access the GST Audit report which shows the base currency, FX value and Singapore dollar value information you’ll need to meet IRAS requirements.

    As the GST Audit report doesn’t show the gains and losses needed for IRAS reporting, you can use the Foreign Currency Gains and Losses report to see this information.

  8. Search Receipts for tracking code. Tracking code is usually an address/ location/ or some key word about a product line. The list is known for each customer. Why can't the AI check for words matching the tracking code list and suggest the correct one.

    Competitors can do this and have gone as far as blogging about the ML methods to do this.

  9. Have a multi tick box option for custom fields to be able to select more than one option.
    i.e. we are a multi disciplinary accounting firm and offer multi different services such as advisory, tax, bookkeeping etc and won't to be able to identify what the client has engaged us for [frequently it's more than one service]

  11. Document Packs when resent do not update the "History" in Xero Tax. This means that the most recent reminder in Xero Tax can actually be much more older than that from the Xero Document Pack

    Would be good to see the history in Xero tax use the dates from the reminders sent in the document pack instead of having to leave Xero tax to find out.

  12. To make unaudited financial statements for Community Benefit Society Companies. Although Ltd, it has a unique company registration number, the accounts are submitted via the mutual register. The reporting format is slightly different. It includes, Management Committee Report, Independent Accountant Report and Notes to Financial Statements.

  13. It would be extremely helpful to be able to view and report on how much of the budget is left on a job.

    Reports in XPM focus on time rather than WIP and there are no standard reports that include job budgets. I want to be able to report on how much of the budget is left on a job without having to export to excel and run a formula.

    MYOB had a great Job Manager and you could view all jobs on one screen and see the budget and what budget left and if there was more WIP than…

  14. IRD require the Authority to Act to display the Tax Number in full. When creating a word template in SuiteFiles, merging the TaxNumber field from XPM only pulls through the last 3 digits. This is not acceptable to IRD.

    Hi Rochelle, many of our connected app Partners have designed and built their integrations with Xero themselves and are the best to direct any requests to for expansions of their integrations - We'd recommend raising this with SuitFiles support to see if they'd look to expand on this.

    @anthony we have a Developer community where ideas for improvements to Xero's API best live - you can find this across here and I'd recommend engaging about this. 

  15. I want to restore an archived client in Xero HQ and can change the list from Practice Clients to Archived but when I enter the client name in the search box it returns only practice clients.

    It appears the only way to find the client to restore it is to go the bottom of the archived clients list and click on "Show more clients" repeatedly until the client shows - quite a laborious process if the client is towards the end of the alphabet!

    Thanks for raising as an idea, Rachel. Appreciate there can be learning involved in adopting tech like this. First checking with our product team in this space, I do want to confirm that this isn't something we're looking to develop for - For an e-signature to be legally binding this needs to be done by the signer themselves.

    However, from within the portal there are a range of ways the signer can add their signature, one of these is uploading a picture of their signature. This means the image then becomes part of the adobe backed, legally binding e-signature rather than just an image of the signature.

  18. Xero Practice Manager -

    There is a report in XPM, Client Revenue Report, this is great for end of year reporting by client. Unfortunately there is no opportunity to select a comparative. Can we please have the ability to run this report in the same manner as the Income by Contact report in Xero Blue. Thanks.

  20. Why do we need to have all of the 'Z do not use' sections appear when setting up a new pack that then need to be unticked? It would be better to have them unticked in the first place
