  1. Xero Sign

    Often I send husband and wife docs to sign.

    If we put the wife to sign their return, the husband cannot see it in the pack.

    This might have been some privacy idea but think in terms of a real physical meeting, you have both pwople checking both, or if you post, both check both. It makes sense they both unde4stand each other.

    So ability to see everything in the pack would be good.

    Current workaround is I put the return in the pack a 2nd time with no spots to sign, so the other person can see…

  2. In the HubDoc there is a default setting with a checkbox always marked (active) for "save configuration".

    A lot of mistakes are made because old text is saved and reused when it shouldn't.

    It's better if there is no text instead of wrong text.

    Therefore the default should be unchecked (off) for this "save configuration" checkbox because it causes a lot of problems when the wrong text is saved to XERO.

  3. Why do we need to have all of the 'Z do not use' sections appear when setting up a new pack that then need to be unticked? It would be better to have them unticked in the first place

  4. Using notifications are a great way to communicate on a job and keeping the history of the same. One frustration I have is when a new note is created I get a notification to tell me a new note has been added but I do not know what the subject of the new notification is from my on screen notification. This can be a problem as some notifications take only a few moments of my time whilst others require me to set aside a substantial amount of time, but I cant tell which it is from the on screen notification.…

  5. Xero Sign Address book or similar

    Would be great if Xero sign had some form of memory or address book for people who had previously signed, rather than having to input the details each time.

    Whether is was linked to practice manager or just within Xero sign, it would save time having to look up client email addresses, and possible typos in names/emails!

  7. I want to restore an archived client in Xero HQ and can change the list from Practice Clients to Archived but when I enter the client name in the search box it returns only practice clients.

    It appears the only way to find the client to restore it is to go the bottom of the archived clients list and click on "Show more clients" repeatedly until the client shows - quite a laborious process if the client is towards the end of the alphabet!

  8. At the moment there is a glaring issue with Xero files and HubDoc files, that the subscriber/owner of each can be different, even though the HubDoc file is integrated with the Xero file and is "paid for" by virtue of the Xero subscription.

    This means it's possible for someone to lose access to their HubDoc account, even if they are the subscriber of their Xero file. Nightmare.

  9. Extract tax amount from the invoice. This is required for compliance with VAT amount recorded in accounts must match what is on the invoice

    Extracted Amount requires a manual entry of VAT amount. This is misleading as "extracted" suggests the amount has been extracted from the invoice.

    20% on expenses option calculates from the NET AMOUNT or backwards from the GROSS AMOUNT, this is incorrect as the may not match VAT amount on invoice specifically where there are non or zero vat amounts

  10. Enable a Bank account to be created when the Chart of Accounts we have created in HQ is imported. Currently, this is not possible. All Bank accounts in the COA need to be changed to Current Assets, and then in the newly created Xero Blue organisation file, the "Bank" accounts have to be deleted and created again! Very annoying. The overall process is great, but this is annoying. We have many bank accounts in our various standard chart of accounts. I want to include the bank accounts so that my staff know the account numbers to use when they set…

  12. The ability to have certain custom fields show up for specific client types.

    For example a "Rental Property" custom field only showing up on the "Individual" clients. Currently this would show up on all clients.

    Given that so many different reports can be created from the custom fields, it would be extremely helpful to have only the relevant fields displayed on the relevant client type/structure.

  13. Allow upload of Excel (.xls .xlsx) document.
    Many suppliers supply their invoice in an excel format, Before they can be uploaded into Hubdoc they need to be converted to PDf.

  15. In XWP when a task is archived you cannot click on the documentation tab on the task/GL level. You can only find documentation via the section at the bottom of the pack.

    I think you should be able to click on the documentation on the task/GL level even when achieved so you know what documentation relates to each task/GL account without having to figure it out by looking at the documentation names (ex: if you have 5 pieces of documentation relating to 5 different GL accounts, you see them all grouped at the bottom of the pack and you don't…

    Just a suggestion.

    I wonder if we can please make the depreciation and tax depreciation report setting to automatically default to the last saved setting instead of having to save it as default report and without saving it into drafts? Similar to Wrike workflow product.

  17. Is consolidation of company group structures - parent & subsidiaries - involving holding companies , inter-company transactions , on the tax filing roadmap for development?
    If so, would this also include VAT group filings?

    Reviving this topic again as I've gone into Property and wanted to implement a group structure, how does Xero best deal with this structure interacting with subsidiaries within the group structure and for the purpose of consolidated accounts? Is Xero Tax also enabled for filing group company accounts?

  18. Instead of asking a practice manager administrative to give you access, you can search clients already with your practice, and request access through Xero.

    This would save time of the person requesting, and also save time for the administrative person having to key in details as they will hopefully just be able to accept or decline the request.

  19. We have a number of sets of accounts that have been prepared under FRS102 1A but do still require an audit in the UK as the group as a whole exceeds more than 2 of the thresholds. There is currently no way to simply toggle on an auditors report, with additional free type text fields to file these via Xero Tax, which would be nice to be able to do and save us requiring another piece of software altogether for these clients.
