  1. I would like to be able to check an option that automatically adds the accout number to the reference field on invoices. This would save a lot of time.
    I'm sure there would be options that people would like ot autofill this field so make ot part of the settings

    Hi 👋 thanks for engaging in the product idea forums. To check, when you say you'd like the Invoice reference to autofill from the account number - would this be the Contact Account Number from their contact record?

  2. Customer statements - will Xero enable the functionality to present payments received by customers as 1 line item? We want to see the total payment amount on the statement - not allocated to each invoice as it is currently.

  3. Invoice payments
    Can we have a function in invoicing to record a payment the same as the new 'eye' function on bills (screenshot attached)? Would make life a lot easier as adding multiple payments to an invoice currently involves way too many clicks!

  4. We bulk upload invoices in advance with "Draft" invoice numbers as we don't know their ultimate sequence for issue. We then assign a chronological invoice number when the invoice is approved and/or saved. In "Classic" invoicing, if I delete the invoice number it automatically assigned the next number in sequence e.g. #INV-0089, however in "New" invoicing if I delete the invoice number is warns me that I need a number and reverts to the original "Draft" number" and not the next chronological number in sequence.     Hi everyone, thanks to everyone that completed and fed back through our earlier survey. We appreciate you sharing needs in sequential invoice numbering and will continue to consider these needs as we evolve invoicing in Xero.

    Right now, we want to be upfront that there are no direct changes planned for how invoice numbers are assigned.

    We'll keep monitoring interest of this here and will update if there are any developments.

  6. The pop up boxes, creating a new item for example, should be able to be moved so that the underlying page can be seen. This is standard on most of the software that I use so it should be so on Xero.

  7. On the awaiting approval invoice page can we get more details for each customer, like any overdue amount and any credit they have in their account. Currently you cannot apply a credit unless you open the invoice. This will save time and errors.

  8. For businesses that only leverage ACH bank transfers as a form of payment, allow users the ability to remove all credit card logos from the invoice. It's not currently possible to remove the Visa and Mastercard logos from your invoices, when using Stripe as a payment service.

  9. Purpose : Starting september 2026 or 2027 dependng on the size of business, all the invoices for French companies should respect the new legislation for e-invoicing.

    Is Xero planning to be accredited by French admin as a registered software ? (https://www.impots.gouv.fr/liste-des-plateformes-de-dematerialisation-partenaires-pdp-immatriculees-sous-reserve)

    It would be very helpful for all the companies doing business in France.

    Hi everyone, great to see interest building around support for French e-invoicing. As France moves towards new digital invoicing requirements, it's understandable that you'd want a smoother way to manage this in Xero.

    At this stage, Xero’s e-invoicing features are available in AU, NZ, UK, SG, and MY. While expansion to more regions is something we’re actively looking into, this particular request is still in the early stages.

    The idea’s now in Gaining Support. If this would help simplify things for your business, adding your vote or sharing your opinions would help us get a clearer picture of the demand.

    We’ll post updates here as soon as there’s more to share.

  10. When posting a payment /receipt against an "already entered" Bill or Invoice, it would be good to be able to do this from the Dashboard. This link could be added to the "+" on the Dashboard and could take you to a search facility to search for the Bill or Invoice. This would also save time having to search under Bills to Pay and Invoices awaiting payment.

  11. When invoicing, it would be useful to have an “Approve, Email, and View Next” button. This feature would streamline the process of reviewing and sending multiple invoices, especially when handling large batches.

  13. The current “Add Payment” workflow in invoices is inefficient for keyboard users. While manual entry of payment dates has been improved, the account selection still forces users to use the mouse, which breaks the flow.
    We need a smoother, full keyboard-navigable process when adding a payment to an invoice:
    1.Enter date manually (already possible )
    2.Press Tab to move to the Account field
    3.Type the account number directly
    4. Press Tab or Enter to confirm selection without needing to click the search bar or manually select the account with a mouse

  14. Please have a default bank account in the add payment function. Have to manually enter the number or search for the bank account through your whole chart of accounts. Old invoicing had bank accounts automatically in this box.

    Thanks for your feedback, Jacqueline. We don't have immediate plans for being able to set a default bank account for payment on an invoice, but we'll start to track this here and I'll share if there's any plans made.

  15. Please add a tab in the invoices category for "Paid Awaiting Pickup".

    Right now under invoices there is a tab for "All", "Draft", "Awaiting Approval", "Awaiting Payment", "Paid" and "Repeating". Our business often has invoiced paid but the customers have not picked up their products. When they come in we have to search to see if what they are picking up has been paid for. A tab for "PAID AWAITING PICKUP" would really help.

  16. Attached preview window to stay in locked screen on the Left, with line items to be on the right on a scroll screen. Because if you add attachments to work from, the screen will be ready to view from the top left and if you have more than 20-line items inputted and you're working from the bottom. You can't see what the attachment is to work from. Look at pictures to see the mark up of issue. This issue is same as the bills.   17. Ability to add CC/BCC on every outgoing Statement Of Accounts to customers.
    Purpose: Internal colleagues or stakeholders allows for a clear record of who received the statement and the context of the communication.
    It enables easier response and ensures everyone involved is aware of the situation.

    We understand how valuable it'd be to have the option to CC or BCC internal staff and key stakeholders when emailing Statements of Account. You’ve highlighted how this feature would streamline internal communication, support better record-keeping, and make it easier to respond to client queries.

    At the moment, while CC/BCC is available when sending individual invoices, this functionality isn’t yet available for Statements of Account, which means relying on manual workarounds.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. If this feature would help you, please vote and share your thoughts to help us prioritise it. The more support it gets, the faster we can work on making it happen!

  18. I would like to be able to 'print' or 'save' a pdf invoice to a folder of my choosing rather than to the default 'downloads'
    Currently ALL downloaded items from the internet are placed in 'downloads' so I need to move the invoice pdf to my chosen folder. It would be a excellent time saver if I could choose my own folder to save to, and have it use this chosen folder each time.

    I believe it is a software bug to rely on the default settings of the users browser to determine where files are saved to.

  19. I would like to suggest adding functionality to better support zero-decimal currencies (such as JPY, KRW, IDR) within Xero. Currently, the system assumes two decimal places for most currencies, which can lead to rounding issues and inaccuracies for currencies that do not use decimals.

    Key points to consider:

    Currency Settings: Allow users to define certain currencies as zero-decimal so that calculations and display formats automatically adjust.
    Tax and Rounding Logic: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations by applying correct rounding rules for zero-decimal currencies.
    Reporting and API: Update reports and API outputs to handle zero-decimal currencies consistently, avoiding integration errors.

  20. When processing a number of customer remittance advices, it would be very useful to have a button to get you straight back to sales invoices awaiting payments list. Currently, when finalising a deposit, the system takes to the bank account that you have selected for the deposit. You then have to go back to Sales>Invoices>Awaiting Payment which the system does lag in loading.
